Decent system
Optus fetch tv seems to work ok. We have had it many years. Gone through about 3 boxes. When they stopped working optus sent us a new one. Can record tv. Movie box not too many good ones. Can view catch up tv, netflix and rent an ok range of movies.

Awesome
Absolutely the football on Optus sport, best thing happening in Australian soccer broadcasting. Just a great thing. I wish however that they also broadcast Australian soccer games. All cheap prices.

some good features
I have had this system for a few years good when working but have gone through a few fetch boxes. They are quick to send a replacement but always give the wrong code which means a lot of time on the phone sorting out

Only Good Experiences So Far
Too many people have complained about their Optus Yes TV by Fetch, but ever since i signed up for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, i havent been disappointed. The coverage has been great. I have a strong quality cable internet service which means minimum buffering or delays.

convenient and easy use
I actually like how I can watch my free-view channels with optus sport and some other channels by fetch tv although their channel pack prices can be lowered.
Excellant Coverage
Have Optus Sport App downloaded to my Mighty Fetch Box. The coverage and reproduction of the EPL and Nations League soccer is without fault if I watch it live or record it. The only issue that I have is that if I watch it "On Demand", the quality suffers … I cannot understand why this should be? Great coverage and very good value for money & would get 5 stars if "On Demand" improved!

Not happy with Optus so have changed
Changed address 18 months ago. Wanted to send Fetch box back but they sent the return bag to my old address. Charged me for the non compliant. Never contact me re this, I had find the charge on my statement. If this the way that they treat once loyal customers of fifteen plus years then I will never return to Optus.

Good but a few bugs
I updated my NBN to get a new modem and to my surprise was able to get a free set top Fetch Mighty box, which included a free 'channel pack'. I like having this box as I get free Premier league soccer direct. Before I had to use my apple tv to 'airplay' from my Imac. I don't like the 'TV' remote because I have lost a lot of functionality from my original Samsung remote. Also I have found that Netflix produces a 'red' screen. I have been advised by Optus how to fix this, however having to reset the box every day or so is not a good fix as far as I am concerned. I tend to use my smart TV app for netflix as I have no problems. I am happy with the 1TB hard disk and so far all recordings have been successful.

service is great. fetch mighty does everything it should. Internet is brilliant.
Signed up online for $80 month. Got emails and sms letting me know the process. Fetch box arrived. Then the modern and on the set date the service guy arrived and everything worked within a hour or two.
Had it one month now and am extremely pleased. Internet is fast and even with all three using. The youtube app is awesome and so are all the free movies. My favorite is actually sbs on demand movies.

Is it or isn't it Optus' fault?
At the time of writing on 10 Aug 2017 I've had Optus HFC NBN for a day and I want to rip the thing out of the wall. I enjoyed Optus Cable Internet for 15 years without a problem with average download speeds of 85mbps. Now at 9:15 on a Thu night I'm getting 5.21mbps and Yes TV by Fetch won't play more than 10 seconds without stalling, buffering or pixelating and giving me that "Bandwidth Low" rubbish message claiming that other devices within my LAN were slowing down my connection when the only thing downloading is the Fetch TV.
I'll be cance...
Read morelling the so called Boost Pack that is supposed to give you 25Mbps, because clearly it's a speed that will NEVER happen. That being said, is it because the false advantages of NBN has been pushed down the Australian public's throat or was Optus being tight and not buying enough bandwidth? Update 8 Sep Download speeds average around 22Mbps with the worst so far being 14Mbps. Yes TV is now working fine. The Kids Pack of channels is completely brain dead garbage so we'll be changing over to the Knowledge Pack. Update 6 October- 3 reviews
Account set up over the phone
What they offered what we get - setting-up account I thought would be easier and convenient, but its not at all, promised over the phone one things end-up other with ever ending bill they are adding. In first instance over the phone treated with a VIP & hear all about "Yes, we can do that, yes we can do this and so on......" but in reality completely different. Unfortunately, 24 months contract & I am stuck in a mud.
Most frustrated thing is their Fetch TV, every time wish to see a program here we go "Pay First" I mean "No money No see" i...
Read morenterestingly it's heavily advertised with all kinds of logo that anyone can impressed, realistically nothing compare to NETFLIX. Anyone have any idea to resolve this issue or get a reasonable deal with this monoester then I could take breath again. "Yes", I am very frustrated. Regards SyeedulIt's Okay..
This service is alright, I had some issues setting it up but now its fine. I only use it mainly to watch netflix lol

I have had this service for years now.
I got fetch tv some at least a three years ago and haven't had too many dramas. I have always had gen 1 boxes and two have failed, both times with the same problem, not connecting to the internet. The main frustration was that I am computer savvy but had to run through various tests before the Optus support service would believe me. But I guess that is to guard against people who don't know what they are doing, so if you go through the motions, you eventually get where you want to go. The boxes seemed to last for a while but it's disappointing...
Read more that there is obviously an inherent fault that is not being addressed. My box is connected by cable to the internet and when I buy a movie, they download at an astonishing speed, (Just a few seconds). But I have noticed just recently that previously every movie had a rent or buy option, but more and more seem to have only a buy option. I wanted to watch "Straight Outta Compton" and bought the blue ray for the same price as downloading it through Fetch, then found out I could have watched it on Youtube for free. I have had no problems with recording with Fetch TV and found it to be even better that Sony's "Play TV" which was excellent. I especially like that it ticks a box to show that you have watched the recording and will not record the same episode twice unless the network shows it on another channel. I have just signed up for a gen 2 box as my current one has developed a problem and cannot access the movie store. I get a free upgrade so I am hoping this just solves the problem. Please note that when I signed up, cable channels were not available. If I want I can pay extra but although Optus Fetch gives you a free month of each channel, I have yet to see one that is worth paying for. To sum up, I have no problem operating the set top box, the download speed is fantastic and using the box is a snack but it is a shame that it is not more reliable. Our Playstation 3 has been used as a set top box and has now outlasted three Fetch tv boxes.I have just received my July 2018 Optus Fetch TV bill after changing to a gen 3box. There is a $181.82 charge for "STB Return Delay Fee". Honestly, my old set top box was collected within four days of...
Read more returning the new one. I called customer service and asked for the consignment number. Seriously, the box was collected two months ago. Why would I still have the consignment number? I told the operator this and she said that I had to call Toll to get my consignment number. Try calling 1300 308 538 and see if anyone even answers. They wont. The phone just rings out. On top of that, the remote control is so cheaply made that you have to give it a slight twist to get it to operate. So much for serving the customer. I am so angry! It's good
Fetch tv should have all off the channels & all the movies & tv shows, it would be a bonus if the fetch tv box had the Foxtel play app or the Foxtel go app it would be nice & needs more movies & tv shows that people can watch
4 years of using Optus now
I have been using Optus from last 4 years now. I did have some hiccups when i moved to Brisbane from Sydney. The set up box i received was faulty and it took a month to get it working. But after all this while, i’m happy with the service now. We always record the programs and watch later. I have so many programs on recording all in the same time so the capacity is pretty high. Signal is clear. No issues with that. Many movies to chose from. We have internet and Netflix through optus as well.
