Two weeks on and my mouth is still burnt

published

I used Oral B Luxe White toothpaste. My teeth hurt from the very first brushing (whilst I was brushing them). Then a few hours later the real pain began. My mouth tongue and gums were covered in tiny white chemical burn spots which ulcerated in to some larger points. I still have the pain and soreness a fortnight on. I have contacted Proctor and Gamble to ask that they stop manufacturing this extremely hazardous product and so far have been given the brush (pardon the pun).I'm keen to hear from other people who have suffered the same problem with this.

Clean teeth but caused very sore tongue and ulcers

published

This was recommended to me as good for removing stains on teeth, also told not to rinse mouth after brushing. Shortly after using I developed a really sore tongue with ulceration and open sore type lesions, so painful. Didn't connect the toothpaste at first was googling and found this site. This has never happened to me before it must be the new toothpaste. Stopping immediately.

Oral B = Oral disaster

published

I recently started using Oral B toothpaste. I have been a fan and user of their toothbrushes for many years. Within a few days I started to feel oral discomfort . Shortly thereafter my Mouth felt as though it was on fire. I developed large cracks on my tongue. It became almost impossible to eat anything but the blandest food. I could only drink lukewarm or cold drinks. I suspected the cause to be a reaction to Oral B and stopped using it. A week later there has been some improvement but I still feel slight discomfort. I have never had this reaction to a toothpaste before. Oral B should be looking at this issue and modifying the product. They still make the best toothbrushes on the market but I will never use the toothpaste again.

Umm why is my skin falling off?

published

Love this toothpastes taste and gritty texture, the little beads are quite nice to crush between my teeth as I'm brushing and my teeth are ever so slightly whiter after 2 months of use. However all day every day there are large pieces of skin peeling off the inside of my cheeks and lips. Surely this can't be good, with all of these complaints I can't believe the product hasn't been recalled. The consistency of the toothpaste is too soft too, it falls off the toothbrush before it gets to my mouth.

Anyone had this problem???

published

Since using the "new" Oral B I have had towels and pillowcases with bleach marks.
It can only be the toothpaste, where particularly my son wipes his mouth on the hand towel after cleaning his teeth,..anyone else experienced this?

who likes an acid mouth clean ? "STAY AWAY FROM ORAL-B"

published

yer wow would not even try this brand again....
i have always used colgate tooth paste and some time i would grab the Oral-B and everytime i used it i would find my mouth peeling skin very soon after ? didnt think it was the tooth paste straight away.
just bought another tube and sure enough mouth burns straight after and about half hour later whole mouth peel!

surely there must be some crazy harsh stuff in the tooth paste to do this never happend with any other brand strong suggestion to stay well clear from any of there tooth paste as its not limited to just one version dose it with the lot. "STAY CLEAR OF ORAL-B" not worth the pain.

Potentially dangerous!

published

I've read many other reviews that have had the same opinion and experience as I did with this toothpaste. First of all, I wasn't a big fan of the texture of this product, it is gritty and it does not foam up in your mouth like a regular toothpaste does, which made me question it's purpose from the start. It then caused the inner lining of my mouth to peel off only minutes after using it. It is very uncomfortable, but I am glad that my experience hasn't been like some for others with swollen lips, ulcers, cracked skin and more. I think the ingredients in this product should be reviewed or the product itself should be taken off the market as it is clearly causing allergic reactions.

Whitening?? Crap !!

published

I have used3 tubes of this paste, which promises to whiten my teeth.
After twice daily brushing for almost 3 months, there has been NO change in the colour of my teeth.
I dont drink alcohol, smoke or have tea or coffee. Still no difference.
Total waste of money.

Mouth ulcers

published

Developed a huge ulcer under my tongue after 2 days of use. Stopped using it after reading these reviews and the ulcer healed by itself after a week. Tried it again just to be sure that the toothpaste was the culprit. Sure enough another ulcer popped up on the side of my tongue. A painful experiment.

Causes inflammation

published

I have suffered with swollen peeling lips, inflamed mouth lining, skin from inside of my mouth shedding, cracked mouth corners, and sensitive sore mouth for months. I had some improvement for a short time when i used a different toothpaste, then i started another tube of Oral B pro health whitening not realizing this was the cause of my misery, I then started to notice that the inflammation was bad in the morning, improved through the day to come back worse after brushing again at night. I have consulted with doctors, nurses, chemists, i have tried all kinds of creams and lip balms, spent a fortune trying to cure what was caused by this toothpaste. I bought bulk (12 pack) and whats left will go into the bin.

Burns in my mouth

published

This is my first purchase of Oral B Whitening and I purchased All Around Protection also. One of them, I think Whitening, has burnt my mouth. Peeling lips, swollen, it stings when I brush and eat certain foods. My lips swell up sometimes. I thought it couldn't possibly be the toothpaste since I am using it as directed but seeing these reviews I see it is the culprit.

Hazardous!

published

Half way through the tube of paste, I woke one morning to swollen lips and painful gums. I didn't think it was the toothpaste but I thought I would stop using it and take antihistamine. After 4 days swelling went down. After 2 weeks I went back to toothpaste and lips immediately swelled again. Also had a lot of peeling of skin inside mouth. Clearly whatever ingredients are used, they are harmful and should reviewed for everyone's safety.

Clean teeth but demaged gums

published

I love this toothpaste because i can deffinitly feel its working and cleaning my mouth out thouroughly, leaving me with a sense of satisfaction. However, after 10 minutes of using i always get these strange stringy bits of goo forming inside my mouth which i can only guess it too be the lining of my gums/lips.
Not sure if this is a good or bad thing as it doesn't hurt/burn, but probaly can't be good.
Therefore, better to be safe than sorry. (Until proven otherwise)
I Will not use Oral-B again.

Hazardous ***Do not use***!!!! Strips mouth lining

published

Do not use!!!! Striped my entire mouth lining 5 minutes after use, causing pain and burning. I have used every toothpaste on the market and this one is toxic. A serious health hazard and must be taken off the shelf. How can this even be sold?? Its like acid!!!!

Disappointed

published

This is the worste thing I have ever put in my mouth. The gritty texture is disgusting and the taste makes me nauseous. It is watery and just very horrible to use. Iwill not ever purchase this product again, and I would definitely not recommend this.

Cracked peeling lips ulcerated painful gums

published

Well I am blown away. I thought I had some terrible disease. Changed tooth brushes lipsticks face creams lip balms. Still blistered peeling lips. My husband and daughter suffered the same symptoms. We Changed toothpaste and within 2 days lips improving, moth ulcers improving.
I am so angry as I chose oral B sensitive as it is recommended by dentists.
I will never use it again and I think a public alert should be made re this product and it should be removed from the market immediately.
I would not be surprised if it is carcinogenic.

Awful

published

Mouth peeling & gums are incredibly sore after just 2 days using it. I have strips of skin coming off the inside of my cheeks & roof of mouth. I can't imagine what would cause something so severe to happen so quickly. These chemicals then get absorbed into my body through my gums, no thanks, I'll be going back to my old toothpaste.
