Persistent & Suffocating Sales People
I was stopped at Belconnen mall (in the ACT) today by a sales woman. I absolutely hate to be rude, so I stopped to hear what she had to say. She showed me the nail buffer and I know what it can do; I also know it isn't very good for your nails. However, she kept persisting and showed me the whole set. She told me the set was $120, but she can give it to me for $80, etc. and then ultimately offering me a staff discount. The ingredients in the products were something I could buy for $12 at priceline- not to mention the buffer and file you could g...Read more
et for about $3 each at priceline. I told her I was Christmas shopping for my family and didn't have the money, as I was a student. She kept telling me that I should have some money to pay for it. I was taken aback by her persisting that had money and decided it was time to be a bit rude and I apologised and walked away. It is okay because I am a confident enough person to draw the line. However, it made me very, very uncomfortable and I can imagine many people just buy it to avoid being rude or arent confident enough to walk away. Your products may be good but your sales staff are unprofessional, annoying and make people uncomfortable.

Quite disappointed with $ Spent - Little results.
I was curious about a pop up shop in South Hedland, which is a very remote area of Western Australia. I was pushed to try the product, I did like the honey peel at 1st. Then I ended up walking away with night cream the day cream and honey peel. He said it was going to last the year however hasn't even lasted a month and a half. I have had better results from other skin care ranges half the price. Very disappointed guys.

unprofessional to the core.
your salespeople are by far the most unprofessional. it's not a problem with a single person. any city i go to, its a guarantee that anyone selling organi products is pushy, irritating and absolutely unprofessional. i have to pretend to be on the phone and run just to avoid them and they still try to come after me. your marketing tactics are the worst and no one should ever by from you. even when your product is good who wants to buy from people who have no regard for boundaries?

Awful experience. Stop making women feel bad about themselves.
After trying a few different tactics, including being told I looked old by pinching (the nonexistent) flabby skin under my eye and me not biting (because gurrrl I look great for my age) the saleswoman then puts this Manuka honey cream on my face without asking, wiping off half the sunscreen and mascara I put on. Um, what just happened? Why would you not ask someone permission to not only touch their face but mess it up? Not okay, I felt so violated. After that happened I was pretty upset. Seeing the shock on my face she then starts asking me to...Read more
rub the Manuka honey (which I did reluctantly) and starts pointing out it's dead skin coming off my face and telling me manuka was great for the skin. She then pointed out my acne scars, implying it will help get rid of them (I think she was trying to make me self concious, again.) I’ve had the scars for over 20 years and the only thing getting rid of them is a laser, lady. I know that you know that. So, I told her as much and then told her I didn’t want to buy these products because I didn’t want to change myself and that I was quite happy in my own skin, acne scars and all. I then told her I was leaving to fix/wipe off the rest of my face. Here’s a tip on how to sell someone your product: Focus on how you can help your customer rather than preying on their weakness. Making someone feel self-conscious because of what you perceive their flaws to be (for me old age and acne scars) and then pushing “a fix” packaged as your product is terrible marketing and just plain nasty... You are making women feel like crap. Please stop, it’s not cool.Purchased in May 2021 at Origani for A$140.00.

Harassing.
Customer service here is terrible. I was harassed until I had a panic attack and shut down due to the pressures to buy exerted on me from the sales assistant. I ended up buying a product, despite my refusals because I couldn’t cope with the situation. I want to return it at a different store but not sure I will be able to after reading these similar reviews so I’m stuck with a product I don’t want and that was too expensive. Terrible experience all round.

Abusive, harassing sales personnel.
This business sexually harasses passers by continuously. They are looking for a lawsuit. I work next door and the women in my office are continually targeted. Their behavior is unacceptable in this day and age. The owner of this business should be ashamed.

Aggressive, forceful marketing and fake 'discounts'
I'm writing this review because a friend recently posted on FaceBook about being ambushed in the Melbourne CBD by a sales girl from a skin care company and relayed a story not unlike the one in the screenshot. She didn't mention the name of the company, but when I asked if it was Organi, she was surprised that I'd immediately guessed the company.
The screenshot of the review below is almost IDENTICAL to my experience, also in the Melbourne CBD, but interestingly enough my experience was in 2011 so obviously nothing has changed despite the mult...Read more

Harrassment
I am contantly harrassed every time I go to my 2 local shops (they both have this rubbish). We try to be polite but they just don't leave you alone. Everytime you walk past them I am harrassed, sometimes up to 6 times a day. I will never buy their products. I see this business going broke very soon. They have no idea how to treat potential customers so why would I trust them when they cannot show me basic respect.

crap selling technique
I will purposely AVOID all Organi products because they stop me while I'm walking to give me a flyer, say they want to ask a question - and then when they got me there, they push and push to sell something. I say I don't have the money, and they go "surely you have $20???", no, that was my lunch money. This happened TWICE in two locations and by two different staff.... So I will absolutely be ignoring anyone from Organi trying to "ask me a question" - which is really just a scam cos you're not asking a question, you want to sell the product and...Read more
you won't stop bugging them until they buy. If I see anything Organi, I will avoid it at all cost because I don't like people using that method to sell me things. If you have to sell it in such a pushy manor, your product is probably so crap that nobody wants to buy it. Otherwise, just do what everyone else is doing, let people come to you. If you have to resort to manipulating, lying (saying you're just asking a question - and then go on to full trying to sell), then you earned no respect from me. I will never buy anything from Organi because of that reason.1 comment

No means no - Pushy staff
I liked this product the tester made my skin feel good however, the one star review is because of your staff member.
I was on my lunch break from work when I was stopped by your 'area manager' who showed me a sample of your product. I told him I liked it and that I may be back next week as I had not been paid yet and could not afford it at the time. He advised me that as he is the manager he would give me a 'special' discount, I advised I still could not afford it. He told me that surely I had enough to buy it now and that it would only work ...Read more

Pushy Salesman. Made me LATE.
This happened at the pop up Organi shop in Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre in Brisbane. I was in the shopping for an appointment which I had 5 minutes to get to.
The salesmans name was [name removed] and he called to me and I told him I have an appointment and I need to go. He slapped the product on and I had to stop. I told him I'm a beauty therapist, I know skin and products and I dont need a spiel about it as I know about Organi already. He still continued, put products on my face. r I said I couldnt afford it even if he bought it down to $5 because I didnt even have that on me or in my bank account. I repeated over the 15 minutes he had me that I have an appointment and I'm late but he didnt care. He then got angry when I didnt buy, he was rude and didnt acknowledge me after refusing to buy products. That is not how you sell, this is not fair to people passing by. Organi need to rethink their strategies. It is very frustrating, annoying and I almost totally missed my important appointment because of this salesman. I've felt so uncomfortable I walked a completely different way out from where my car was parked just to avoid this person. That's not on.1 comment

Fantastic product
I love this quick and easy product that leaves my skin soft and sily smooth. I don't know why you choose to sell in the manner that you do where pushy condescending staff pretty much chase you down the aisle reducing the price considerably the further away I walk. Just set a price that is reasonable and stick to it. Every comment on this site is about the awful sales experience. It has completely overshadowed the fact that the product is really good.

Pushy and manipulative staff
Very unpleasant experience at the Adelaide Central Plaza Organi. I have never had such a hard sell for beauty products. The products are very expensive but the salespeople seemed to be able to vary the prices considerably. It was very hard to get out of the shop without buying things I really didn't want. Not a nice shopping experience - avoid!

Awful pushy condescending salesperson.
I had a pretty good experience in Melbourne Central a couple of weeks ago with a lovely Russian lady who showed me the product and really impressed me. She understood my money worries and I left feeling relaxed and interested in maybe purchasing in the future. However, today in Chadstone, I had the worst experience. An ‘area manager’ who I told I had tried this product before and had just done my make up and didn’t want it on my face again, she disregarded that and said ‘it doesn’t matter touch it up later’ and just did it...I was like ?! And s...Read more
he then said ‘yaz, look at all the dead skin on your face’ ‘you have lots of breakouts this will help’ then forced the product into my hand and told me the price. I said ‘I’m sorry it’s a great product but I have been sick for a long time and really can’t afford this’ she starts frowning and asks ‘do you not get any sick pay?!’ And then is looks at my nails and says ‘I’m not being funny but how much do you pay for your nails?’ As if I’m an idiot and can’t budget and have used my money on the wrong things. She was like ‘you WILL use this and so I’ll give you 30 percent off’ as if this was special but I just felt like she took me for an idiot. When I said no for the 20th time and was getting so irritated and in pain standing up, she turned into a completely different person and said ‘right. Well I can’t help you then.’ Slightly shook her head and looked as if I had just punched her. I was so shocked I went and sat down to just process and decided to use the hand cream sample she had given me as no point in taking it home. She then WALKS PAST me and starts selling whilst on her break! Saying ‘that hand cream is also amazing and I can give you it for 35 dollars if you come back before 3’. So hungry for my sale and led me to reading these reviews and seeing how many other people feel pressured, scammed and condescended. Awful awful sales technique. I went from loving the product to hating the company.1 comment

Pushy, rude staff
Offered us a "today only deal" then tried to offer us "40% off on me" Garden city shopping center Brisbane. [name removed]. He was super rude to my gf and called me (male) Honey. Tried to guilt us into buying by saying it was instantly working and that he "really liked us" and that we are "really nice and he genuinely wants the best for us" sales talk nonsense. Real pushy and tried to tell my gf her routine was not suitable for her. She works in beauty and definitely knows how to look after your skin. Asked my gf when she last washed her hands?? Thankfully whenever he asked me something he listened when I said "no thank you" seriously unbelievable.

Pushy employee, been over a month, no results
I’ve also seen a few other reviews similar to what I went through. I never planned on buying any new skin care and I didn’t plan on reviewing either but it’s been bothering me ever since I was forced into purchasing the products.
So I was pulled in after just accepting a coupon. Worker explained how their products worked and I insisted that I wasn’t planning on buying and they said “that’s okay!” and proceeds to talk more and tell me more. One look at my face and apparently the dude knows more about my skin struggles than...me (he claimed I...Read more
was sensitive, did not bother at all asking me if I truly was, if I was oily or dry...no questions whatsoever). He tried the peel on me and raved about it — it felt kind of condescending in a way, as if he thought I had never seen a peeling gel before? I’ve used several in fact. Haha) He continued pushing and even after I explained my situation and said numerous times about how I did not want to spend, he still insisted so I purchased the honey peel in hopes it would stop but nope...he still pushed me into buying the set, trying to tell me that all the things I did for my skin was bad (lies such as I should never use chemical exfoliants; also trying to tell ME why I use make up...no not because I want my pimples to dry out???? I have no idea where he was pulling all of this from) He was also trying to sweeten the deal promising free facials and products for free (that he apparently would be losing money from- miss me with all of that, honestly). I was supposed to be on my way home and I was tired and he kept pushing so I ended buying the set. I tried to be positive hoping AT LEAST the honey peel would do something but alas, I see no changes; the cleanser??? does absolutely nothing for my skin; the moisturiser seems to be alright but my skin already fares better during the winter so I can’t say much. They’ve also called me up about being a permanent member and getting a free facial but I wasn’t happy at all and I felt too upset about the whole ordeal and I declined both offers. I really do feel upset about the hundreds I was pushed into wasting.1 comment
