Mould Power

published

OzKleens Mould Power actually works. I bought this because its less toxic. Surprisingly it works way better than bleach mould removers etc. Very happy with the results on mould that was ingrained in the shower tiles grout. Before this product I was considering having to re grout.

Terrible spray nozzle

published

Brought this product to spray on mould that appeared on painted walls and ceiling due to leaking. The spray nozzle only has one setting, other spray nozzles can have a spray and stream setting. The spray on this device is an irregular steam that sprays in a small area and then drips everywhere. Useless for this type of application.

Purchased in July 2021 at IGA.

Not perfect, but it works for me

published

I have been using Mould Power for a long tome, and it works for me. It is not perfect, and mould could come back after time. But if you use it according to the instructions, you can get rid of mould in the short to medium term. I use it in conjunction with Lencia. It is particularly effective on soft fabrics where bleach will cause discolouring. Bleach only fades mould, it does not kill it. I live in humid Sydney, and frequently find mould grwing somewhere in a dark place. Reason I came here today is to find more OzKleen Mould Power, as I have run out, and it is not always easy to find.

Purchased in May 2021 for A$5.00.

Best Non Bleach Anti Mould Product

published

This stuff does actually work. I see the other reviews say they just sprayed it on and waited....you do need to scrub a bit however it does remove the mould and inhibits its return. I have used it on my white sheer curtains where black spots of mould had grown. I have not been able to remove even with bleach...until I used Mould Power.I also use it on my sandstone planter boxes. Try using bleach and you will feel sick and wreck your clothes. Mould on shoes and handbags can also be removed with this stuff but you do need to rub over! I love this product and usually have at least 3 in my cupboard. Alas Coles or Woolies no longer carry it.

Purchased in October 2021 at Website for A$5.90.

waste of time and money!

published

I tried spraying it on my mouldy shower mat.It made no difference at all.The people who says it works must have a vested interest in the company.I tried it twice....not working.,Would have the same result if i used water ...BUT it would cost nothing.I would love to hear back from those who gave it a 5 star rating. Are you sure you didn't mix it with something that works?

It made no difference to the mould

published

I was given this product, plus others, after I complained about their carpet cleaner not working. So I spayed my back scrubbing brush handle, that was mouldy. Made no difference. Left it soaking in it, no difference. I think all their products are a sham!

For me it has one big problem- getting good coverage

published

As long as it has a nozzle that fires a stream rather than a spray I’ll not use it again regardless if it’s efficacy. Just too hard to get good coverage.

Shock! This product actually doesn't work!

published

On the front label it says it works on curtains. on the back it say blinds, nothing about curtains.
tried it on my curtains and shockingly it really doesn't work whatsoever. Don't bother buying it, as you can see from the previous experience of others...don't waste your money!

Doesn't work at all

published

Tried this on grouting in the bathroom, and also on fabric. Both of these materials are specifically mentioned on the bottle. Followed instructions but the product had absolutely no effect. Don't bother, you'll just waste your money.

Worked wonders on my black ceiling

published

The last house I lived in, after being there for a few months, the ceiling in the bathroom turned a nasty shade of dark grey. I ended up spraying OzKleen Mould Power over the ceiling and used my sponge mop to work it in. Not only did it get rid of the mould but the mould never grew back and I was there for another 3 years. My only complaint is I tried to buy some more from Coles today and they don't have it anymore which is a real shame because as far as I'm concerned, it's the only product that gets rid of mould.

A reliable product

This is the only mould cleaner that I have found is effective on cloth. Have used it on curtains and leather. Love it! Can’t understand why others don’t find it effective as well?

Best product for blinds and curtains

published

This product is the best thing to use on blinds and other materials. Its very hard to find a cleaning product that will clean delicate materials without bleaching them. I also tried it on my outdoor table on a patch, after a couple of days noticed it had taken the mould away! Seriously the days we live in everybody expects immediate results, it takes time, be patient! The only thing that was annoying for me is that my local Coles doesn't seem to stock it anymore.

Actually works - read the instructions

published

Mould is a stubborn problem. This product actually works but you have to read the instructions and understand the limitations. I think the 1-star reviews here didn't do one or both of these. It won't necessarily remove the marks left by the mould but it does kill the mould and stop it re-growing.

I live in the sub-tropics and this product has saved many of my possessions. Not everything mouldy can be saved, it's the marks that the mould leaves behind that can be the problem.

This product does do what it says, but make sure you expectations are in line with what they're actually claiming.

Rubbish wish I could get money back

published

Bought this product yesterday. Rubbish doesn't work other reviews are lies. Rub the mould with your $6 it will work better. Absolute crap even tried spraying it on and leaving it on over nite. Mould seems to have grown. Anyone who buys this product was warned.

Brilliant. The best and only stuff that works

published

We used to have an annual problem. Twice a year I had mould patches on the ceiling in all the bedrooms. I used to use a well known brand of mould treatment...but it smelt awful and the mould always came back..I've used Ozkleen mould power for several years now and rarely, if ever have to go back and treat it again..It may not get rid of the stain the mould leaves behind, but there are other things for that. At least I know the mould spores are DEAD!

Surprise! It does work!

published

A friend recommended this to me and I tried it as a last resort. It definitely has reduced the amount of mould in the bathroom, and removed it completely in some areas. I will continue to use it. I only wish I had found it sooner; if someone has a new bathroom, or one which doesn't have mould yet, I would recommend using this as a preventative measure.
The bonus is the lack of chemical smell; it smells pretty good, actually, and doesn't cause me headaches or the sore throat I sometimes get when using harsher chemicals.
I'm continuing to use this as my regular bathroom cleaner. Highly recommended.

The only mould control I use now

published

This is the only product that controls the mould in our small, poorly ventilated bathroom. I use it each time to clean the bathroom and haven't had a problem since. Clean around windows, on curtains and walls and don't rinse off and it prevents mould starting. Has solved all the mould problems in my house. Love it.

Can you safely use this product on a PVC jumping castle?

I would just use a general household bleach and some detergent and scrubbing brush. Do they have Janola in your country??

Kat
Kat

Thanks for answering. I haven’t heard of Janola.
I was a little hesitant to use bleach for fear of taking color out. Also was a little worried with bleach and/or heavy chemical cleaners as it’s a wet and dry slide and castle and wondered about chemical residue the next time they used it.

Can this product be used on canvas? We have mould stains on canvas of roof camper.

1 answer

Most definitely! Just make sure to leave it sit for a minute or so, it must stay wet and not dry up. The next step is to use warm water and a sponge to rinse it off. I use 2 buckets. One to rinse the mould off the sponge and one wash the mould off the fabric. I know this will work.
