Staff at IGA not wearing gloves to handle fruit and vegetables
Went to this store the other day and staff were not wearing gloves when they put fruit and vegetables onto the shelves. One staff member was coughing while putting product out. We were horrified and left.

Golden Eggs
Altona. IGA... Only allowed 6 eggs as that was the anti hoarding policy recently introduced... Fair enough!! However 6x 600 gram free range eggs for $6.00 does seem rather excessive... Difficult times perhaps however some may consider it price gouging??

Where the the locals matter-rubbish
Of all the IGA one the east coast of Tasmania the one at Bicheno would have to be the worst I've shopped at. The staff are locals and friendly but management is extremely poor. Very seldom are all catalogue specials available and if so in very limited amounts. If you bring your own bag you must pack it yourself as the staff have been instructed not to do it. They are now instructing customers that they must buy any item they touch. This may be acceptable for vegetables and fruit and unsealed produce but every item? Very poor experience!

Toilet Rolls $2.5 Seaford IGA
I cannot believe IGA Seaford are charging people $2.50 per toilet roll during this time of crisis, what a disgusting scheme. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I will never shop there again

Price Gouging - IGA Store (NOT Super IGA) 5 mins. North, Perth City, WA
Glen 20 Disinfectant Spray 300g cans, Price $4.00 as advertised in the weekly catalogue 11/3/20 - 17/3/20.
The store had stock on the Wednesday, they flew out the door, same as everything else, nil stock on the Thursday, and limited stock on the Friday. Bought 2 cans on Friday, price $8.50 / can, showed catalogue to girl on checkout, she was good enough to call supervisor/assistant manager/ co-owner, whatever, who said she would check with manager.
On her return, she said I could have them at $4.00 / can, I asked,"why the price increase" when advertised for $4.00 in catalogue, her simple answer was, "it's popular, there's a demand for it"
This is not the first time this store has changed prices, and ripped people off.

Price Gouging - Toilet Paper
The Middle Park, Victoria, IGA is selling toilets rolls from behind the counter at $1.50 per roll - I think this is price gouging at its best/worst! I trust this not the IGA approach across all stores.

NEVER - support or shop at this place again - assumption of breaking the law - IGA Ballan
Wife goes into IGA Ballan with 17yo daughter who is crook & after seeing doctor - Goes to the checkout with Lemsip, Strepsils, chocolate other bits and pieces and a bottle of wine. Cashier ( who apparently is in charge for the night) puts the items through the register & THEN asks my wife are you together looking at my daughter (who is standing away from register coughing her guts out). Cashier then asks daughter for ID!!!! Daughter is Under 18 -so woul...Read more
dn't sell the wine to my wife!!!! Wife asks if I come back without my daughter & buy wine is that okay - Apparently they will not sell wine to my 54 year old wife as she is assumed of doing - secondary supply of alcohol to my daughter - Assumption of breaking the law - without checking if even related persons - been shopping here for 17 years & our daughter has been with us MANY times in the past when we have & haven’t purchased alcohol. It’s not for our daughter it’s for us - adults - no ID requested from us!!! Never shop there again - what a joke - does this mean we can NEVER purchase alcohol again because we have a 17 Year Old - Cashiers Choice was reasoning - sorry IGA Ballan - parental choice over-rules you idiots & this WAS NOT for our sick daughter - Supermarket is lacking in many ways & this tops it off- this will be referred further.Similar opinion? Great Local Locations, Overpriced Compared To Major Supermarkets
Been shopping at my local spanos IGA at Mermaid Waters since it opened 19 years ago. My only concern now is over the years i noticed more people lining up during busy times between 3 - 7 pm sometimes waiting up to 6 minutes to be served by 1 retail attendant especially when a customer registers their Lotto numbers. The line sometimes blocks access to the deli as the store isnt a supa. They usually have more than five staff in the store during those busy periods.
Why cant they dedicate at least two staff at the front during that time? It would...Read more
really speed things up, as i see myself and customers getting a bit annoyed at times because of this. I do like how they ring a bell when it gets real busy. I enjoy doing my grocery shopping here cause it supports the local farmers, but i avoid purchasing products that are not on special due to the nature of a higher price over woolies or coles. I still prefer aldi.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Below other iga level
The bullsbrook iga has to be the worst iga in WA I've ever been to. The fruit and veg is of poor quality is one example. They don't even have any hot foods at all like most iga around even Stratton is far better

Bought a bottle of Thickened Cream on the19/01/2020. Got home and realised the use by date was 17/01/2020. The only good thing about IGA is that they are open longer than the major supermarkets.

Can always find what we want
Been shopping at Ritchies IGA since we moved to Nambucca Heads NSW last year. This is a supermarket in the Nambucca Plaza complex. Staff are friendly, very well laid out we can always find what we are looking for. Great weekly specials and they offer a 5% discount for Seniors Card holders on Thursdays.

I would give zero stars if I could
Opportunistic vultures, gouging people who have lost everything in fires by charging $40 for a 6 pack of water. The so called "friendly" grocer is just another conglomerate, stay away.

IGA Xpress Pyrmont
The night I went there, attendant has bad attitude and no customer service skills. Clearly they are relying on one off business from the hotels next door. As a local, don't waste your time or money, there are plenty of other options that offer service with a smile!

Worst service ever. Dont go to Turramurra
Purchased $200 worth of gift cards through the Turramurra store. No amount was put on them so worth nothing. Told by merchant company to go back for a refund.
Owner Terry refused to speak to us and the store manager accused us of stealing the gift cards.
Even though we came in with the proof of purchase.

IGA is a great community supermarket
IGA makes a great community supermarket which makes it different to the other major supermarkets. IGA supermarkets should focus on making its supermarkets available to small community areas which don't have access to any other supermarket. I live in Carlton NSW and we do not have a reputable supermarket in this area. It would be fabulous to have access to an IGA as a community supermarket.

They must display a certificate under section 98A of the Food Service Act 2001 in the Canberra region ACT (your location). See........https://www.legislation.act.gov.au/a/2001-66/.
