IGA Xpress Pyrmont
The night I went there, attendant has bad attitude and no customer service skills. Clearly they are relying on one off business from the hotels next door. As a local, don't waste your time or money, there are plenty of other options that offer service with a smile!

Worst service ever. Dont go to Turramurra
Purchased $200 worth of gift cards through the Turramurra store. No amount was put on them so worth nothing. Told by merchant company to go back for a refund.
Owner Terry refused to speak to us and the store manager accused us of stealing the gift cards.
Even though we came in with the proof of purchase.

Great Handy Shop
IGA is a great handy supermarket. They always have a great variety of products and I always recieve great customer service at my local store. I find it easier to shop there in comparison to the bigger supermarkets.

IGA is a great community supermarket
IGA makes a great community supermarket which makes it different to the other major supermarkets. IGA supermarkets should focus on making its supermarkets available to small community areas which don't have access to any other supermarket. I live in Carlton NSW and we do not have a reputable supermarket in this area. It would be fabulous to have access to an IGA as a community supermarket.

DISGUSTING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Recently, I went to an IGA store at Wahroonga. Went to the deli counter as I have before, but the normal guy that served me was not there and was greeted by the back of a rude little man, [Name Removed], he eventually told me his name.
I was greeted with "we are closed. The shop closes early on Sunday and we close the deli earlier".
These comments could not be confirmed by any signs, marketing or notations on the web-site or the front of the store.
[Name Removed], was very silly. I wanted to buy a full ham and place an order for anther one for Christmas. He just did not want to serve anyone and live in his own little world.
Your loss. Abysmal customer service and whilst ever this rude little man is there, I will not be back.

Worst customer service experience
This morning I went to try IGA stores for the first time in my local area. I downloaded there catalogue and noted a few specials that I would purchase, one being a leg of lamb on special. I drove to the Newport IGA and the staff had no Lamb and had no idea of the special in the catalogue? I then made. Y way to the Altona North IGA and picked up my 80 year old mother in law ho has shopped here for over 20 years. We both wanted a leg of lamb each as they were on special and placed them in my basket. Not long after an older man came along and said...Read more
you cant have 2 legs of lamb the limit is one each and removed 1 leg of lamb from my basket. I said there was nothing stating that and my mother in law said one of them is hers ? The older man said no you dont you cant do that trick and proceeded to walk off with the leg of lamb. I said you cant be serious and he said you can only have one! I said I only have 1 the other is my mother in laws! He then proceeded to throw the lamb back into the basket. This experience of shopping at IGA has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had! My mother in-law was embarrassed and his behaviour was totally unnecessary an unprofessional! Both stores were poorly managed!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This isn't perfect - I can't live with it
IGA in Beachmere always out of stock, with a range of excuses, usually that the warehouse doesn't fill their orders or forgot. Too many changes in the range of groceries - brands deleted often and too much trouble to get them in (despite the TV ad!). Returned products last week with an expired date. Finally, attitude to customers is poor.

Excellent supermarket
The only supermarket in Kalbarri so you would expect prices to be inflated. But we were pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. Great variety of products. Plenty of stock. Same specials as Perth.

is quality of produce the supplier or the store? Iga cremorne
Schreurs leeks, love the product....when fresh. can buy it for weeks and mostly okay, then get some very old batches, and stop buying. never know when it is fresh in or old stock..
sometimes the packet is fresh and usable for up to two weeks. then the next new pack I open on the day of purchasing ii have to throw in the bin. it is very hard to tell as you cannot see the leek through the packaging, and there is no date of picking... usually old dry and very limp and bit smelly., but this times was actually rotting. is it the product or the store????

Hot Cooked Chickens and Roast Meats.
I cannot believe how IGA Mt Waverley Roast Chickens are just taken from cooker, placed in bag and then in heating cabinet. Sometimes three high in bags are stacked in the heating cabinet. The same chickens could be sitting in the cabinet for hours on end and are. How is this allowed with our health standards. Woolworths place the time the chicken has come from the oven clearly stated. They only have a few at a time come out. Woolies chickens are always fresh delicious and safe to eat. I only buy cooked Chickens from Woolworths for this reason...Read more
. Surely the council health dept needs to be looking at this. So easy to pick up gastro eating food laying around in a heating cabinet for unknown hours. Roast Pork sits for hours in a heat cabinet as well. Both Chicken and pork have limited time to sit in a heater before being refrigerated. If these products had the time on them I would shop here again, IGA Mt Wav are a good supermarket but fall down badly with their hot food laying around with customers having no idea how long it has sat there.Similar opinion? IGA Lalor Park, NSW 2147 - discrimination?
Can an IGA manager ban someone from his shop on the bases of that person being fat? I stood up for a shopper who was being physically assaulted by the IGA shop manager, many people told that manager it was against the law what he was doing to the shopper, he remembered me because I am a large person. I went to see the manager, recorded a conversion between myself and the manager of that IGA shop where I asked him the question: if he banned me from his shop because I was fat, and he replied with "yes". Can a manager of an IGA franchise ban someone from their shop on the basis of that person being fat?

IGA CAmpbell, ACT - dismal Customer service and 'fresh' produce
I've been using the Campbell, ACT, IGA for over 8 years and the customer service & produce quality has progressively gotten worse. Over the years I've tried ordering products on a regular basis and for the first 2 weeks it's fine but then it obviously gets too difficult to do. They offer no explanation or apology and the staff do not care. I worked in retail for over ten years and am constantly amazed at the staff's general attitude of laziness and\or incompetence.
The vegetables sold in plastic eg: potatoes, generally look ok but when you get...Read more

The IGA nearby is under new management. Things are on the up and up there now.
Hopefully shelves empty of basic food items are a thing of the past now.

Can iGA serve hot cooked counter style meals on a plate? I can’t see any type of food service certificate in the store.

They must display a certificate under section 98A of the Food Service Act 2001 in the Canberra region ACT (your location). See........https://www.legislation.act.gov.au/a/2001-66/.
