Shock Absorbers don't last long

published

Had Pedders fit a pair of their rear shock absorbers to our small family car. They were leaking oil upon inspection some 2.5 years later. Warranty is 2 years only. No apologies. They just confirmed this can be the service life sometimes. They only offered to replace them for the same cost as original. This is a very poor service life, similar to what I expect from a poor quality Chinese brand. Have now switched to using Monroe.

GVM Upgrade

published

Great to be able to legally carry and tow now GVM upgrade fitted
Haven't hit the outback tracks yet but handles crappy roads well and suspension feels very resilient
Not surprisingly it is firm-ish but definitely not intrusive
Got a nice little lift (approx 2") after stock suspension sagged after a tough outback trip
Very happy so far
Mick from Pedders Beresfield was very helpful and knew his stuff

Purchased in September 2021 at Pedders Beresfield for $4,200.00.

Just had the Full Pedders suspension put on my Ranger Wildtrak. I went with the advice of Adam. It has completely transformed my vehicle. The advice, service and product far exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Adam and his team and will definately be using them again

Fitted this kit to give a 50mm lift it has exceeded my expectations! It was upon the recommendation of Justin at Tyrepro Picton they worked with me regarding vehicle setup and towing requirements. The kit was fitted and a great wheel alignment to compliment the suspension! It has truely transformed the vehicle both on the road and off road, can’t thank Tyrepro Picton enough! Professional, friendly Team!

Took my car in for alignment and was told about other issues got a quote from pedders of $1200, and got the job done by them. Went back to the alignment done which was not done properly the first time and asked them to look at the vibration on the steering they quotes me for a new rotor I took it to my mechanic, and when they lifted the car on the hoist showed me the poor workmanship of the loose bolts and parts not fitted correctly. I took my car back to them to rectify the issues and realign the wheels which they repaired, but did not consider the time spent going to their workshop 3 times. I will never go back to them or recommend any to use their services as the bolts that were fitted were loose and i would have had a bad accident.

Purchased in September 2021 at Pedders for $1,296.50.

Terrible,unfriendly Service

published

Peddlers Gateshead experience for me was not good. Receptionist was unfriendly, clearly wanted me to spend more money with her shop and failed to ring me when the wheel alignment was finished. A wait of 20 minutes turned into 2 hours, not good.

Purchased at Gateshead.

Don't go to Pedders. Ever.

published

Pedders fitted a new pair of rear shock absorbers to my van, immediately before an interstate trip. Both shocks leaked most of their oil within 800km and the van's rear was bouncing all the time. Returned to Pedders 1,500km later and was told I had destroyed the shocks by driving off road so the warrantee was voided by my negligence. I never left the hard top during this trip. It is not even an off-road vehicle. The manager was so rude I had to walk away. Bridgestone Select replaced the leaking pedders units and did not charge for their 45 minutes labour. Happy sailing with Bridgestone Select from that day on. Thank-you for reading this review.

Have no real idea sadly

After having my ba ford assessed for rattling and thumping noises I was told and given a quote which I was assured was what was needed to fix my problems totalling nearly $1800 and the first branch couldnt solve the issue so I complained to pedders and organised another branch to do free of charge to fix the issue
...Day and half later I got my car back with a maybe we fixed the issue...Well yesterday I drove my car long distance and surprise more rattles than before..So ive contacted fair trading and been given advice. If needed I will go to small claims tribunal..Will never use pedders again..I have two more vehicles requiring work

.There loss.

Top service

Had my fg falcon front suspension replaced by Pedders in Frankston. They also replaced the old bushes with performance bushes. Excellent service and quality product at a great price. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their suspension. I also had the leaf springs in my cab chassis upgraded a few years back by the same company and no issues even today after about 4 years.

Not happy customer

published

Had my 1 year old car checked for suspension issues as it was only 28$. Pedders gave a report indicating bad bushes need to be replaced. Next day I took my car to the official dealer showing Pedders report asking to replace allegedly faulty bushes. To my surprise my bushes were all OK. I drove 100K after that without any suspension related issues.
What was it? incompetence or desire to rip me off? Shame.

Purchased in October 2021.

Rip offs

published

Quoted $2800 to lower a ve commodore 2 inches, fe2 height. Yeh right lol. For monroe shocks painted red, which is who makes pedders shocks. And no doubt the springs are king springs or similar painted red. That was off course if they dont have to replace bushes etc which would be hundreds more. Avoid. Poor advice and huge quotes. Look anywhere on the net and the standard quotes for bushes or suspension replacements rarely is below $2500.
