Nice Car
I've had this car (Peugeot 508 GT 3013) for 2 months now and I like it. The 2.2L Diesel feels like a strong engine whilst returning an average of 850km to a tank mixed driving, (average speed 45kmh). Taking on a long trip soon (1000km+ run) so looking forward to seeing how economical it can be - maybe it'll return 5L/100km? Interior is good, comfortable and well fitted, leather is high quality. Handling is good thanks to double wishbone suspension. Highway drive is great, feels weighty and solid/safe. ICE system is pretty average as it won't sh...Read more
ow me a connected bluetooth device track details. Idle noise is higher than my last car (mondeo) but driving at highway speeds it's quiet (really nice). Auto is good. Styling is good. Overall quality and workmanship is good. Has what might be known as a model wide design fault that stops heated seats from working - apparently expensive to fix. **Doesn't have** Auto Cruise Control impact warning protection and Lane depart warnings. This Peugeot GT offers a superior drive to the Mondeo, which it seems to compete with in European markets. At this early stage of ownership I'm happy with the car.Similar opinion? Great car.
I've had this car for over a year now, bought second hand with about 50000km's on the clock.
Things I love about this car:
- Great stylish interior, good quality feel of instruments etc.
- Great features: ABS, anti skid, tiptronic with gear change paddles, auto headlights, auto flood light turning, auto-windscreen wipers, etc.
- Stylish exterior, will turn heads - nice european styling.
Things I'm not so happy with:
- Seems to have a high service cost, but not frequent ($600 p/a)
- Very, very firm ride - the norm for most new ...Read more

Brilliant value
I purchased one of the last of the GT sedans with the 2.2 diesel motor (2014-15) for the extra power.
The spec on this by far exceeds premium European models sold around the same price when new e.g. Audi, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C class equivalent models etc.
Great power to weight ratio, really enjoyable to drive, double wishbone suspension is a delight, economical to use, good boot space, lots of features, love the genuine leather upholstery smell .. and it looks good!
I suspect that most Peugeot owners benefit from a wee bit of an anti Fr...Read more

Peugeot 508 sedan
Beautiful to drive, running costs are amazing!! It has a 1.6lt turbo engine that uses the same amount of fuel if not less then a Mazda 3 sp 23 2.3 litre. this is the first European car I’ve had & im totally sold! The only thing I could fault is the lack of space in the console.. so small! As is the glove box.

Love this car
Coming onto 170k never missed a beat.
Absolutely lovely to drive, very well finished and comfy.
I had a Lexus before this and was worried about stepping back to a "non luxury" car but I do not regret it at all.
1200kms to a tank
Only thing I didn't like was the sterio but I have since upgraded.

Not perfect but so very very good
The GT spec offers acceptable performance but it’s real strength is just how well it performs as an easy to live with every-day prospect.
Quieter on the highway than many of the German similar size sedans, and way better ride.
GT spec gives lots of options, which unfortunately occupy storage space. For this reason (and probably more so in RHD configuration) storage is awful.

Great car but as all European cars, very troublesome
Very nice car, with great leather interior and dashboard but as with all European cars you must be prepared for some trouble and expect to pay a bit for repairs. I would recommend this car to those who can afford it and afford to have it consistently serviced. The diesel fuel also helps reduce the cost of fuel.

Great economy, great to drive but have had some issues
I have really enjoyed the very efficient fuel economy, (currently 5.5lts/100km). The car is comfortable to drive and has great pick up when passing. The boot space is very plentiful and love the ease of opening the boot. The car has been serviced at all scheduled intervals and meticulously cared for. Problems that have occurred are - * failing window motors, the service centre tell me it's from over use, but they are hardly ever used, (the window drops into the door $600 repair) this has happened 4 times, * keys not being detected (now have to...Read more
carry both keys to get it to lock/unlock/start), * every time I get new tyres, wheel nut covers are lost because they don't fit tight, * within 12 months of purchase had to have the rear door seals replaced due to gross fading/colour change (covered under warranty) and now my lion on the bonnet is falling apart. Going in for it's 140,000 km service this week, but I think I should have traded in by now. Overall I have enjoyed the drive and comfort of the 508, (my first European vehicle) but I'll try others.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Car
I have now done just on 80,000ks and could not be more happy with the performance and economy of the diesel engine. We do a fair bit of highway driving and and engine is just on 2000 RPM when sitting on 110km/hr. Seats are very comfortable with lots of leg room front and back for 4 adults. I have previously had 307 & 308 cars and the 50-8 is just great and I can not understand why it is not a lot more popular. My only gripes are the cup holder positions and the small glovebox Regan Motors have been very thorough with both their sales and servicing.

I am on my 3rd peugeot, and my 2nd 508 wagon
1 st was a 308 2lt deisel sold at 100000ks only issue was a nosiy turbo replace under warranty
bought 2nd 508 wagon 2.2 lts deisel, with 30,000ks on it sold it with 95,000ks no issues other than normal running costs. That car felt better than my current 508 wagon, maybe the larger motor,or the shape, duno. just did.
I mainly do highway trips about a 1000ks a week, and keep my cars till about 100,000ks and trade them in.

Luxurious car
Bought this second-hand but it had excellent and complete service records. It's my 4th Peugeot and the most luxurious (previous 504, 306 and 308) - leather seats, extras such as GPS (Sat-nav), parking sensors front and rear, excellent fuel economy, and it's powerful yet quiet. I'm only 160 cm tall but the steering wheel and seat (forward, up and tilt) all adjust to make it perfect for me - few cars that can do that. Air-conditioner also adjusts for front driver, passenger as well as for rear passengers. And it has a huge boot!

A great safe family wagon.
Traded in our 407 wagon after 5 years of trouble free motoring, to a 508 hdi wagon, can't believe how quiet it is, better fuel economy and more interior room. A great highway cruiser with plenty of power when you need it. compared to the Ford Mondeo which is the main rival to the 508 which I have for a work car the Peugeot has a more luxurious feel to it { the Mondeo still a good car}

Unbelievable luxurious comfort
I own a 508 (1/2014), second hand, import to Greece from France with 55.000 km. The car has an unbelievable luxurious comfort in every step. Everything work perfect, the GPS is very helpful, the jbl speakers play USB MP3 in a fantastic clear sound area. Stable driving with a bit harder suspension that my 406, but i prefer that, gives you safety feeling when you turn fast. I have 2 kids,13 and 6 year old. Interior feeling just like 406, big front and back. My favorite of all is the driver interior mirror that gets dark when light goes up to yo...Read more

Disappointed....
We have only done 22,000kms and have had problems with key not being detected. Dealer advised couldn't find problem or key sometimes plays up. Now we have a shudder when putting into drive. Sat Nav isn't current. Slow to take off. Disappointed for the cost. Our 8th new car but first Peugeot and I would not buy another. Dealer service is poor. Cover cracked at service by mechanic and unfortunately for him we had to look under the bonnet day after picking it up and found it. Returned with wheel nut covers missing. Three trips to Dealership to have computer errors fixed and twice it was towed. I live rural so it is a 140 km round trip. We buy a new car so we have reliability however this car has greatly let us down.

Great car!
We bought our 508 in 2012 after leasing a 308 Feline SW and driving it around Europe for 8 weeks. I had loved Peugeots for many years, so after leasing the 308 it was decided that we now had to own one. We decided on the 508 for its additional room as we do a lot of long distance driving. We have not been disappointed, it performs well and the acceleration is great, except for an initial hesitation at take off - which can be alarming if you need to get away in a hurry! The car is very quiet running, this is great for me as I wear hearing ai...Read more
ds,which I often need to mute in other cars. There is great legroom throughout, there should be as it IS a big car, it has more room than my 2004 Commodore! The boot is a great size and really allows me to pack a lot of stuff! I love the economy, especially on the open highways, it is amazing to watch the range (DTE) continually increase as we set off on a long run. Maintenance cost can be high, but this is NOT a cheap Asian import! I have one big beef and that is the GPS! No matter what setting I use it insists on taking me off the M2/M7 motorways when I am driving Canberra to Newcastle and return! It also at times gives strange instructions, like making a turn to return to a motorway I have NOT left. The most annoying issue though is the GPS giving the instruction to "bear right or left" when it means "continue straight" (like my cheap Navman does) the intention of the instruction actually means "don't make a turn at this intersection"! Even that is inconsistent. The GPS regularly announces "in 2.2 km at the next intersection, bear right"! That in itself is not a problem but what about the intersection I just passing, what is the difference! There have also been instances of being given totally wrong and dangerous instructions on motorways, again being told to "bear right" when actually should be done is making an exit left onto an overpass and NOT turn across the motorway! I have written to Peugeot Australia about these problems, but they just referred me back to the dealer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very impressed all round
Ok, there's the cup holder and not great storage within the consol issues, but other than that, I cant fault this car.
Done over 12,000kms. Its smooth, quiet, great power, beautiful handing, and very comfortable. You feel like you just want to sip on a glass of champagne while this car slips along so silently. At 110 kph the 2litre diesel is hardly reving, so it has very "long legs". I'm very impressed with fuel economy as well.
Just drove from Canberra to Melbourne outskirts - trip meter reads 648 kms, tank over half full on the guage, average fuel economy 5.3l/100kms. Distance to empty reads 771kms! - thats over 1400 kms out of a tank! (not sure I'll get that once in urbanville)

Great Car High Maintenance Cost (Do not buy) see my updates in the description
Love the car for its design, inclusions, size, etc, etc.
Hate the fact that brakes need replacing every 20k km. I have the automatic brakes so a parent it wears out faster. I put aftermarket so hopefully this time last a bit longer. Battery needed replacing after 40k and the GPS is useless with no updates. I live in an area where it's constantly developing but everytime I serviced they updated software but no map updates.
The sound system is crappy compared to even the cheap Hyundai i30. You expect more from a $50k car while there is a lot o...Read more

Awesome car
I purchased a second hand 2011 508 SW and I have to say what an awesome car. The value for money is amazing. What you get is incredibly. I paid $25k and probably the best car buy ever.
There is so much included, the drive is great for a wagon both around city and open road. It is so quiet in the car while driving you can talk hands free on a normal mobile and hear every word.
This is my 4th peugeot, I've had many other really good cars but this is one of the best.
The 2L disel is incredibly it is smooth, powerful and fuel efficient. Driving on freeway at 100km I was getting 4l per 100 is almost free.
Well done peugeot

This is my first time that I'm interested in Peugeot brand. I'm interested in 2012 Peugeot 508 allure auto. it's one-owner car, and has 68691kms. I'm a bit skeptical about the price which is $17600. I'm afraid if the car will break down often in the future. I mainly driving on highway, not often to drive in city. I would like to know about Peugeot reliability, maintenance cost and resale value. Any insights? I really want the car but the price is little bit dodgy.

I have been offered 2013 508 Allure that has done 39,000k. Im upgrading from 2010 Toyota Camry Hybrid (110,000 km). The 508 has had only one (old lady) owner and appears to be well looked after with all service history available. Just concerned about "European" cars and some of the issues raised in the reviews. Could someone please allay my fears

Hi Joe
I’m really happy with mine. If I was offered one with those low k’s I’d go for it for sure! If you keep in mind that every car needs servicing & Looking after I think you will be won over to the European side like I was!! Bonus is they are really fuel efficient cars aswell.
Thanks, Nin, this is helpful
If it is a diesel, grab it. If it is a petrol, factor in the possibility of spending a bit on the timing chain (do your homework here). I have a 508 GT diesel and have driven a few Allures both petrol and diesel. Absolutely brilliant value vehicles. Excellent build quality. Not dirty like VW diesels. The only glitches you should expect will be in the electrics. For some reason the country who gave us the 'Amp' unit of electrical measure don't seem to grasp modern electronics, but the possible trade off is worth it. You are unlikley to ever go back to a Camry.
