Princess Cruises Majestic Princess Questions & Answers

Not as stupidly expensive as on northern hemisphere Princess cruises. We recently came back from a Baltic Princess cruise. The cheapest bottles were $USD30 approx plus 19% service, which equates to about $AUD50. Bottle prices went up from there. Two glasses of halfway good white wine in the wine bar on board cost us $AUD37. Ludicrous.

We are going on two cruises Fiji And N.Z, in October and Nov. Have you any idea of the price of bottled white wine on Majestic Princess

exorbitant! Ranging from $40 to $300 and per glass prices starting at $15 per 150ml.

I don't know the prices on the Majestic Princess, only the Sun Princess. Cheapest bottle was $55 and $15 per glass in the Atrium and it was Spanish and I think Brazilian wine - only one Australian wine available and it had to be asked for as it was not on the wine menu.

Sorry but we haven't been on Majestic Princess - as yet! It only arrives in Australia in September so best to ask your cruise booking agent. The Sun Princess did not have Happy Hour so maybe it's the same for all ships.

Hi electro, I have been on Majestic Princess, but my sister has and she had a wonderful time, the cabin staff and crew were great, meals and entertainment were so much better than what we had experienced as this is new liner to Australia, I have been told it will be leaving from Melbourne going to New Zealand 2018, make sure you take the day excursions, to see some of the beautiful sights but it is up to you. It is a new Ship so you should be happy with everything on board be prepared for 3-4 days sea travel before arriving in New Zealand itself. Happy sailing. Mj5

Thanks jm5, Yes Majestic Princess is leaving from Sydney but stops at Melbourne and Hobart before going across and up the back side of New Zealand. Two trips in October 2018 with one going Sydney - Auckland and the other Sydney - Sydney via New Zealand.. I am waiting for the drinks package to be added before I book LOL.. the thought of being stuck and having to pay for drinks at top price scares me.. I have found a few shore excursion companies that work from the ports and am in talks with my cabin mates as to what trouble we can get up to safely on the trip ;-).
Thank you for your information.. Still trying to work out if I would get claustrophobic if I had an internal room.. I am a bit scared to have big glass window to see to much if it got rough and know I can go too a window somewhere if I want to watch LOL.. Guess we are all so very different with our needs and good they give you choices but I am unable to find a video and actual footage of the internal rooms etc.. I would have thought with a new liner they would have created a functional put your mind at rest and come sail with me video rather than a glossy OTT show case advertiser.. Oh well I have time to calm my fears on this one as it is not sailing till 2018 ggg.. Lucky me.. Thanks again :)
