Good quality - instructions need improving.
Purchased the S17 bar and adaptation kit for a 2016 NX Pajero. I had read reviews prior to purchase so was aware of some people’s issues with the instructions. I purchased my from SCA on special and as the price was right I thought I’d give them a shot. Yes the pictorial instructions were a bit ambiguous, but I recommend getting onto YouTube and watching a few videos, then go back to review the instructions. I used https://youtu.be/REGM_AZDfl4 and it all made sense, fitment was then straight forward.
Purchased in August 2021 for $320.00.

Dont understand why too many complain
Bought it yesterday (May 22, 2022). Was 304AUD with Frenzy25 promo plus my new member account credit for 10 dollars. Making sure what I am telling here is true and referring to the dates, etc. I was very excited when I got them from SCA, especially with the limited edition Prorack S16GA, a gunmetal color of the rack which is identical for my indium grey car. I was first reading the image instructions, then refer it again in youtube on how to install. It didn't took me 45 minutes to finish the install. It's not a rocket science, but for those pe...Read more
ople thinking it was a chore and a torture for them to install, obviously they will complain. If u dont want hassle installing them, trying paying the professional for it. Or dont buy the rack in the first place. Nothing is difficult in life if u really want it and be happy for it. "Whinging Aussies", never satisfied and always complain.

Poor design regards fitting
Bought S Wing racks from Super-Cheap. Wife & I just spent 2 & 1/2 hours attempting to fit to a Ford Everest. Instructions are poor,no words,
little drawings . Will have to ask Super-Cheap how to finish assembly. I should have either paid to have them fitted or bought another brand! Manager at Super-Cheap was very helpful however and showed me how to finally fit the racks .

Overall decent quality rack, and quiet
Not the simplest things to fit, if only because the instructions use images that are a little hard to understand. Once you work out what actually needs to be done, it was pretty easy and everything lined up perfectly. If unsure, then I'd strongly recommend having them professionally fitted to avoid damaging them and/or the car.
Have had them on the car for a year now, and they have been nice and solid. No movement at all, and very quiet ie no wind noise (S-Wing with "Whispbar Technology") so I just leave them on the car.

Easy install, happy with product
Good buy, got them on sale at super cheap couple of months ago ....
instructions were a bit light on but I soon worked it out. Been installed for 2 months now and I’ve attached the mounting bracket accessory for fittment of an awning. All good no complaints at all ... easy to adjust the racks if need be. I think it was $250 all up on sale. Well worth it as they are good quality racks.

Ok once fitted
Fitted the heavy duty bats to toyota prado racks in supercheapauto car park. Went back and forth to salesman numerous times. Supercheapauto staff did not have time to fit. Instructions extremely confusing and made no sense at all. Lucky the salesman usually installs the product. Product seems ok once fitted but highly recommend paying for the install if time permits.

Whispbars by ProRack and bike carriers
I bought set of Aero Whispbars by Protrack and two Bike Carriers from 'Auto One' in Bunbury with an approximate 20% discount as part of their Christmas 2017 catalogue. I had first seen these bars at the 'Tour Down Under' a couple years earlier, and thought they looked good quality. My vehicle is Land Rover Discovery with extended rails and needed a Protrack K450 foot fitting kit. It took a couple of days to effect delivery as they didn't keep them in stock.
However, the instructions came wordlessly(only diagrams), making it a little difficul...Read more

Utter Crap!!!
The bars themselves look OK, massively complicated instructions are specific to the fitting kits. Poorly made don't line up holes. Very frustrating. I'm going to throw them away and get a decent product. Not going to waste anymore time with it. Cheap for a reason. Lesson learnt. Fitting kit cheap useless rubbish.

poor quality
bought the pro rack p bars and fitting kit from supercheap auto, as the other comments we had the same problem with poor instructions, the holes dont line up and the screws dont go in, after 2 hours of trying ive realised these are just poorly made and designed, you would think if one was able to be put together the other one should be ok but this was not the case.

Very Generous 3 stars
Giving a benefit of the doubt 3 stars. The price is very competitive. Tradesmen of 20 years i found it challenging to install but got through it eventually reading then re-reading confusing instructions. Im not entirely confident with the system because it secures behind/between door seals, personally i think water will leak in but cant say for sure because i only put them in yesterday. My ute is an old model so i can live with that fact because iv retro fitted other things onto it, but if your vehicle is fairly new spend the extra money for a quality system.

Poor QA, No response
Bought the S25 bars and fitting kit, one bar came out of the box with pretty bad discolouration, I emailed Prorack and expected at minimum a "sorry about that" and maybe even "send it back we will replace it", but no response which has soured everything. Apart from that they seem fairly robust, instructions are not great, will just have to see how they age. Wouldn't buy again purely because the defect out of the box.

fitting kit is cheap rubbish
Pro rack bars from super cheap auto are a ok product alloy, strong as far as this system goes, but non gutter fitting kits are total rubbish comes loose, moves and after 12mths falls to pieces as it's not UV stabilised material. Dont waste your money on door frame mounts wont buy them again.

Hard to fit
These roof racks are extremely hard to fit, we have been back to Super Cheap to get advice on how to mount them because the instructions are very confusing.I have had to redrill the holes as they don't line up, large fingers don't fit in the small spaces to tighten the screws. Worst purchase ever!!! Never again, what should have been a quick and easy fit, took a couple of hours and a trip back to where we bought it.

Good roof bars
I put the Prorack Whispbar on the existing rails of a Mitsubishi challenger . Kit was P16 bar and K328 foot kit they went together fairly easily the instructions are good (read down one column of the page then on to next column).
The bars seem well made and work well they are easy to put on and remove with a hex head that is supplied in the kit .
So far only dislike are the key locks are a bit cheap and very hard to put the locking covers back on after the bars are on the roof . All tools needed come in the box and there are some good accesso...Read more

100% difficult to attach and deattach to the car
To be fair to Proracks, they do offer different types of mounting systems. So hopefully my review does not apply to all of their other designs.
The one I'm reviewing was purchased from Super Cheap Auto and is called a "Railmount P-Bar" system, and it's difficult to install and uninstall. Extremely poor design with very unhelpful installation instructions.
My car is a Ford Mondeo Wagon with factory fitted rails running front to back. This rack attaches to the rail. Each roof rack mount comes in 3 pieces. 1/ The lockable plastic cover which...Read more

2 years now, and not yet. Car is garaged though - if they are constantly exposed to UV and/or salt water then I guess that may be an issue.....
Yup! Started falling to pieces after 6 months. Now a couple of years later rubber feet literally crumble in my fingers. Really should be using a UV stabilised rubber. It's not like they're easy to remove.
My car is garaged 99% of the time, can't believe how bad they are. Have another car in the weather most of the time with Rola roof racks over 10 years old with no issues with plastic and rubber components.
