Perfect
Very good straightener. I got one as a gift and ended up buying another one for my mother.
I have long wavy hair and it works perfectly for me and doesn't take long time.
Purchased in May 2021 at The Good Guys for A$58.00.

Wow!! What a great straightner at a great price!
I paid $47.20 for this straightener at Target it was on special from $59. I was sold based on the reviews on targets website. Ever since using this straightener people gave complimented my hair so much! And I now wear my hair down more often before I use to keep it up as my hair looked so dull after straightening it. I'm so glad I tried this product and I highly recommend! It took about 15-20 mins to do my hair and I have medium length thick hair.
Seriously who wants to pay $200-300 on a hair straightener that does the same job as a cheaper (in my case the cheaper one has done a better job).
Purchased in April 2021 at Target Australia for A$47.20.

Great Budget Straightener
My trusty Diva lasted 8 years and recently bit the dust. I didn't want to spend a lot and bought this one from the good reviews. Its excellent. The large plates make straightening time shorter by about 10 minutes. It has a variable temperature button and I use it at 210. I pass it through each section twice and my hair is left very sleek. For $59 its a quality straightener and I couldnt be happier.

So worth it
I took the plunge and got this straightener to experiment with straightening my hair (was contemplating investing in a GHD or Silver Bullet but they're so pricey). Honestly, I'm extremely impressed and pleased with how it managed to tame my hair. I've coarse, thick, and unruly curly medium-length hair - it got the job done. My hair was soft, smooth, and shiny in the end. I set my temp at 190°C, one pass each - took awhile but it's still silky straight after a whole day of errands :) The straightener did turn off 3/4 way but it heated back up within a few seconds. Overall, such a good buy!

Excellent product!
Love it! Very easy to use and doesn't snag or pull the hair. You don't have to go over and over the same patch. It does it first go. Should have brought it long ago.

Can't live without this
I love this...easy to use and makes my hair so straight n shiny. I take it with me whenever I go away because I will not use any other. Does not snag my hair and heats up really fast. I have had this product for a few years now and still works well

Dud for fine hair; tears and rips as plates don't close well
I really wanted to love this product and have been anxious to try it. I actually emailed Remington AU about four years ago to ask if they'd bring out another wide straightener because I loved the old Ceramic Pro* so much, but at the time I received a bored-sounding response saying there were no plans at all for a wide straightener. I feel like this one has been a long time coming and has received generally positive reviews here on PR and elsewhere.
What a shame, then, when I tried it out this morning and found that the plates are not smooth...Read more
and don't meet together properly. The result was a lot of pulling and snapping of strands and about six (!) passes to achieve straight locks. Yes, my hair looks quite nice now, but for plates not to meet and then to snag and snap hair is unnecessary in this day and age. I feel that I cannot recommend this to anyone with fine or thin hair. Even though my hair is very long and should respond well to larger plates I won't be able to use this on a any sort of regular basis as my thin hair essentially just slipped out of those odd, scratchy plates. For those wondering, heat-up time is a tad slow compared to even the oldest GHD, but on the plus side it locks closed (which is always welcome). It also has a sleek design and isn't particularly heavy. Please pull yourself together, Remington. You used to be the market leader for the affordable wide-plate straightener. This thing is a real letdown when it's the ONLY non-salon quality example available. To those thinking of purchasing a Pro Ceramic Max, consider trying something else unless you have thickish, longish hair that's already smooth. Otherwise, this thing just ain't for you. As for me, I'll keep searching. I refuse to believe that Australian hair straighteners will continue to devolve in the same way they have been for the past six or seven years.Similar opinion? Beautiful salon like hair at home
I bought this hair straightener after reading a lot of good reviews about the product and I am very happy with my decision. Its perfect for my thin, wavy hair and straightens it very quickly to give it a smooth, sleek look. I personally do not like to subject my hair to harsh heat treatments but the best part about this straightener is that I can control the heat settings from 150 - 230 degrees and it heats up in no time too. I use it at 190 - 200 degrees and in 8 -10 mins, all the magic happens and my hair is all shiny and silky and straight. I am very happy with the product and would definitely recommend it.

Bought this and sold my ghd!
I bought this after my mum was raving about it. She does her research when it comes to spending money on anything! I wasn't completely sold till I tried it and yes my hair felt very smooth as well as being straightened effortlessly. In fact it felt better than my ghd classic! She convinced me to sell my ghd and buy this instead which is a much better price might I add. It lets you set the temperature, unlike my ghd, which means you can set it low for thinner hair etc. I keep it at 190 which is the optimum temperature. I think ghd is mainly popu...Read more
lar because of the brand, I'm telling you ladies forget the hype, this deserves to be up there. It turns off after 1 hour which should have been 30 mins in my opinion like ghd, but its better than nothing! Best not rely on that to stop your house burning down. I always unplug it after use. It works faster than my classic ghd because its got a wider plate. It also has newer technology with the tourmaline in the ceramic, which is meant to be better than your hair as it rebalances the positive ions to negative. Overall, so far so good - Ide definitely recommend it!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good product for its price
I've used many hair straighteners over the years, most of them very costly. I bought this Remington one after my last expensive brand stopped performing well (less than 2 years old too). Because my hair is very thick and curly, I use a round brush and hairdryer to straighten my hair first. I then use the Remington Pro Ceramic to glide over my hair for finishing touches, to make my hair sleek and thinner. Compared to the expensive brands I have used (Muk, Evy and GHD), this one is very good and much cheaper. The wide plates are great if you...Read more
have a lot of hair. I also use it on my teenage daughter's hair. She has thick wavy hair and it works well on her hair - especially if you use a comb to glide down the hair and the straightener immediately after it. The slight negative is that it can dry your hair, but I always use a heat protector spray in my hair first, which helps limit the heat damage. The variable heat temperature setting is great, it heats up fast and the swivel cord are good features too. For under $60 this is a great hair straightener.Similar opinion? Good price
It has big plates which straightens my hair really quick but leaves it bit dry though. It feels little bit heavier compared to straighteners. I would definitely recommend for thick hair. Affordable price as well.

Amazing and quick on thick wavy hair
Very quick to heat up then I slide it through my hair and it's practically straight on first go. I did go over some stubborn hair a couple of times as my hair is very wavy and super thick. It took about 15-20 minutes to go from curly to straight. I also noticed that my hair feels softer and smoother after straightening. Highly recommend if you want an affordable straightener.

Excellent value.. results as good as GHD!
I purchased this product from The Good Guys (approx $60) and it's great. I previously had a GHD which died after 5 years and didn't want to spend as much this time. I'm so glad I gave this product a go. Excellent value for money and I love the wide plates which makes straightening my thick hair a much quicker process. The straightening results are as good as GHD (maybe even a little better!). Remington also offer a 3 year warranty on this product. Great buy and very happy!

Does the job quicker!
Bought this hair straightener for around $60 from Target. Wide plates straightens you hair much faster, especially if you have thick hair. Quick to heat up ( Remington claimed it takes 15sec). All in all, very happy purchase as it does what it claims to do.
