Is revitive safe to use after having 2 screws in my foot after surgery?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hello Shirley F.

Yes it is safe to use Revitive with metallic implants. There is a chance that the stimulation may feel more intense close to the location of the screws. If this happens you are advised to reduce the stimulation to a comfortable level. If it is uncomfortable you should cease use.

Hi Chris,

Given that your injury is recent, it would be a good idea to check in with your doctor before use to ensure that he or she is comfortable with your healing. If the break required surgery we do recommend using with caution within 6 months of a surgery - listen to your body and reduce intensity or number of sessions if needed.

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Chantal,

Thanks for your enquiry. REVITIVE uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to contract and relax your muscles, increasing the blood flow in your legs and feet. It has been scientifically tested and shown to actively improve circulation and reduce swollen feet and ankles. It has not been specifically indicated to assist with plantar fasciitis, but I encourage you to take a look through some of the reviews left here by users for some real-life experiences. As Jon suggested - a chat with your Doctor might also be advised - they are in the best position to advise with a full picture of your condition and history.

Can I use recite circulation booster with pad disease

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Chirs,

Thanks for your question. From our knowledge, peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs and extremities, usually the legs, don't receive enough blood flow.

REVITIVE Circulation Booster uses EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) to contract and relax calf muscles. It is this action that helps to pump oxygen-rich blood to your legs and feet.

If you would like to try REVITIVE, we recommend a discussion with your doctor regarding your medical condition before using the device.

I hope this helps, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team if we can assist further - 1800 505 108.

I do not have diabetes, they say my neuropathy is caused by my feet and hands always being cold the condition is such a long word I can't even remember it. Will this Revitive work to help me?

2 answers
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Terrie,

Thanks for your question. REVITIVE has been shown to provide relief for some users suffering from peripheral neuropathy related to diabetes. Our testing is limited to this condition so we cannot specifically comment on other forms of neuropathy. Anyone with a pre-existing condition is recommended to chat with their doctor before using the device to ensure it is appropriate to the users' specific medical condition / history.

Generally speaking REVITIVE uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to contract and relax your muscles, increasing the blood flow in your legs and feet. It has been scientifically tested and shown to actively improve circulation and reduce swollen feet and ankles. Perhaps with this information, and a complete picture of your medical condition, your doctor might be able to advise if they think it can offer you benefit. It is also worth noting that there are some contraindications that need to be reviewed before considering the product. You can read about them here - https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

I hope this is somewhat helpful. To discuss further, you are welcome to contact our customer service team on 1800 50 108.

Note I am not a doctor and you should always seek medical advice before commencing any treatment for a specific condition. I am a Neuropathy sufferer and get significant pain and burning sensations in my feet. I have used the Revitive machine for approx 2 months and to date there has been no reduction of Neuropathy. I believe the revitive treatment needs to be longer. Provided the setting is not too high I do find the EMS stimulation quite soothing and relaxing. Currently this relief is very short term but I am hopeful that longer use will aid my condition.

If u have metal pins in leg or ankle will u feel this as they conduct the electricity?

1 answer

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Kristy,

Good question - generally speaking it is fine to use REVITIVE with metal pins, however there is a chance the electrical stimulation may feel more intense close to a metallic implant. It is safe to continue use provided no pain is experienced. You may need to adjust the intensity to a comfortable level. There is more information on this available here - https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/ .

If you have some time to look through some of the posts on this site there are a few real-life reviews from people with metallic implants. I hope this helps, please be sure to reach out if we can provide any further clarification. We also have a Customer Service team that can be contacted on 1800 505 108.

Hi Summ,

Thanks for checking in. If you had an electronic implant such as a pacemaker you would not be recommended to use EMS or TENS. With a diagnosed medical condition such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, we would recommend that you check in with your doctor before using REVITIVE - they will be able to advise with a clear picture of your condition and any other relevant medical history.

My Revitive lights up and I can change the setting, but it will not move. Why not?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi pominoz,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry to hear you are having some troubles. There are a few points I'd need to clarify with you:

1. The device will not actually move on its own - any REVITIVE device with the isoRocker feature will move as a consequence of your leg muscles contracting as they receive the electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). To make this happen, both feet need to be on the device receiving the EMS.

2. If you mean that you cannot feel the electrical muscle stimulation when you place both feet on the device, we have some simple trouble shooting exercises we can run through with you to try and determine what is happening. It may be easier to run through these with you verbally. If you would like to do this, you can contact our customer service team on 1800 505 108 or you can send us your phone number (private message through this site) and we can call you. If you prefer email, please let me know and we can email you the steps to try - our email address is [email protected].

I hope this helps.

Can I use my circulation booster after ankle fracture and surgery to stabilize with a metal plate?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your enquiry. There are a few things to consider before you decide if REVITIVE is right for you:

1. We recommend caution when applying stimulation after a RECENT (within the past 6 months) surgical procedure because stimulation could sometimes disrupt the healing process. If surgery has been recent, a discussion with your doctor is strongly encouraged as he/she would know your history eg. specifics of the surgical procedure, healing progress, complications, etc, and be in the best position to advise if REVITIVE is suitable.

2. REVITIVE’s electrical stimulation may feel more intense close to a metallic implant. It is safe to use provided no pain is experienced however, users may need to adjust the intensity to a comfortable level. If pain or discomfort is felt near the area of a metal implant we would request that use is discontinued and medical advice is sought.

I hope this helps. Please reach out to us if we can be of further assistance. Our customer service team can be reached on 1800 505 108 or [email protected]

When I use revitive with the pads I am up to 100 and can take it with ease, without the pads I am only on 42, is this normal?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi there June,
Are you using the body pads in the same body part eg. calf?

Some parts of our body have more receptor cells than others, making some body parts more sensitive and other less sensitive. This helps explain why a person would likely need a higher intensity if they use their body pad on their calf muscles compared to using the REVITIVE foot-pads on their feet.

Also, REVITIVE only goes up to 99 intensity levels (not 100).

I hope this helps answer your question. Feel free to call us at 1800 505 108 or email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

I broke my foot 4 weeks ago. It is healing well. Can I use my circulation booster in a low power?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Csear,
Did you have any surgery on your broken foot?
Caution is recommended when applying stimulation after RECENT (within the past 6 months) surgical procedures because stimulation could sometimes disrupt the healing process. A discussion with your doctor is encouraged as he/she would know your medical condition eg. surgical procedure, healing progress, complications, etc, and be in the best position to advise how early you can start using REVITIVE again.

If your doctor clears you to use REVITIVE Circulation Booster, then we would suggest starting with a low intensity and a shorter time (less then 30minutes) to avoid overstimulation or muscle fatigue. This is especially important after a long period of immobility or inactivity. Look for signs of skin irritation (redness), bruising or pain. If in any doubt, consult your doctor.

If you have any other questions, feel free to call us at 1800 505 108 or email us at [email protected]

Hi mel,

Thanks for reaching out to us. From what we know about postural low blood pressure, it can be a symptom of an underlying condition. As such, it is important that your doctor is consulted before using REVITIVE as he or she will have a full understanding of your condition and will be able to advise if the product is suitable. Revitive M.Revitive

Morning Brenda,
We are sorry to hear about the pain you are feeling from arthritis in the neck.

While we have Body Pads which can be used on many different body parts, it is NOT recommended for use on the neck area as that is very near major arteries.

We would recommend consulting your doctor on the best pain management for your condition, to sure you are safe.

Will Revitive soothe my feet when the nerves in my toes are activated and tingling from Morton's neuroma?
Is it like a Shiatsu massage?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi there Mahar,
Thank you for writing in with your question.

From my understanding, Morton's neuroma involves a thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves leading to the toes, and it seems to occur in response to irritation, pressure or injury to one of the nerves that lead to your toes.

REVITIVE uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) and is not like Shiatsu massage. The EMS helps to contract and relax muscles in the legs and feet, and this helps to improve blood circulation in the legs and feet. With this underlying medical condition (Morton's Neuroma), we would recommend a discussion with your doctor before purchasing or using REVITIVE.

I hope this has helped you.

A family friend gave me their revitive to use to help ease my restless leg syndrome, I have found out that I’m pregnant (early stages) and am now concerned about having used it. Why is it not recommended in the first trimester?
Thanks,

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Jess,
Firstly, please accept our apologies for the delay in reply and congratulations.

Pregnancy (first trimester until last trimester) is listed as a contraindication as there is insufficient medical evidence on how safe the technology of EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) is for pregnant ladies and their babies, and it is of utmost priority that your baby and you are completely safe throughout this journey.

Warn Regards,

my dad insists on turning the Revitive up high, to me anyway..up at 60-80...i feel it strong at 20 but anyway, the bottom of his legs have turned black and blue right around the bottom of the leg with spots of blood visible through the skin, i was so shocked when i seen this, like because the instructions tell him it is safe to put it up high, he does."it wouldnt say it if you couldnt do it" was his words, and he is right...looks like his legs were in a constant state of contraction and forced the blood outward through the artery or vein walls..ive convinced him to stop for now till i find out whats going on.my question i suppose is "Whats going on"?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi John,
The fact you could tell that your Dad's legs were contracting, does indicate that his muscles are being given a work-out ie. they are contracting and relaxing to pump blood upwards back to his heart. However, while REVITIVE can be turned up to a maximum of 99 intensity, the aim is not to get to 99, but to find an intensity level that is comfortable for him.

We strongly recommend for you to consult your Father's medical doctor to check on why his legs could have turned to a black and blue colour. With comprehensive information on your Father's full medical condition, he would be able to provide you with the appropriate medical advise. You are right to stop him from using REVITIVE until you see his Doctor.

Do let us know how this turns out. It would be great to hear back from you.

Best regards,
Actegy Health Team
