Does level of hydration affect sensation? On different days we experience different levels of sensation, even though the level is the same...thanks. We have been using our new machine for 2 weeks.

I think hydration is important it does say that in instructions
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Mum M,
Your suspicion is correct. Hydration is absolutely an important factor for the intensity of the sensation that you experience. It is often the reason for noticing a differing intensity from day to day.
We find users report feeling a lower sensation as we head into the cooler / drier months when our skin becomes dry and we drink a little less water. Increasing your intake of water and hydrating the skin can certainly help keep the intensity stronger.
If you feel the variance is significant and are keeping well hydrated, please give our Customer Service team a call so we can discuss further. They can be reached on 07 5443 9767

Is this model safe to use for my 85 year old mum. She has stents in both her lower legs.

Hi Jenny,
Thanks for checking. A stent is not a contraindication as such, however we do recommend that anyone with a pre-existing condition (particularly a heart condition) check with their doctor before they use Revitive.

When revitive booster on charge,no lights come on
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Graham E.
Thanks for reaching out. When this happens it is often an issue with the power cord. Do you have a Revitive stockist close by (or the store you purchased from)? This might be Harvey Norman, The Good Guys or Shaver Shop? If so, you can take your device in and ask them to check it with one of their power adaptors to be sure.
If you have confirmation, you can either purchase a new power cord via our website or if the device is under warranty, you can call our Customer Service team for a replacement.
If testing it is not an option, please give our Customer Service team a call and they can try to work out the issue over the phone and come up with a plan to get you back up and running. Their number is 07 5443 9767

Hello can you tell me if it’s best to use revitive before a walk or after?
2 answers
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Angie R.
There is no right or wrong answer to this one - it comes down to what works best for you. We do have some people say that their legs feel better after a session on their Revitive and are then more able to go about their day. Others prefer to have a session at night while watching TV. It comes down to what works best for you.
Hope this helps - if you'd like to discuss, please feel free to call our helpful Customer Service team - they'd be happy to chat to you further. 07 5443 9767

I am no expert, but I would say before to get the blood flowing . I permanently leave it next to my couch & I use it nearly all the time I am sitting down, as I find it relaxing .

Is it safe for a child under 6 to use?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Adella,
Provided that the child has no underlying medical conditions, they can communicate effectively and that you have checked the contraindications for use (link below), it is safe for use. It is important that the child is supervised by their parent or carer.
We would strongly recommend that the stimulation is kept low and remains very comfortable for the user.

Toniasked
Hi when using my machine I see movement / sensation in my left foot and toes but not my right foot, is this normal ? Also when I have the arthritis pads on I don’t see my muscles contract? Thanks
2 answers
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Toni,
This is a good question and one we get quite a bit. It is not at all uncommon to experience a stronger sensation in one foot and less in the other. We recommend that you use a setting that is strong but comfortable for the more sensitive side. The less sensitive side is still receiving the benefit of the EMS.
With regards to the arthritis pads, are you feeling the sensation? If the sensation feels strong (again, it must be comfortable - no pain) then you will be working the muscles. If the sensation is quite weak - you may need to increase a little. Remember that in arthritis mode, the EMS runs for 10 seconds then there is a long pause before the next wave begins.
If we can give more info, please feel free to give us a call. We can work with you while you are using the device to make sure you are getting the most out of it. We can also answer any questions you may have. Our team can be reached on 07 5443 9767

It doesn't really matter if your foot moves or not ( as my left foot moves more than my right ), as long as you "feel" your muscles contracting .

I have just received mine and need to know if I can use it as I had a PE last year and take apixiban?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Margaret S.
We would need to refer this question to your Doctor. While it is not a specific contraindication we recommend that anyone with a pre-existing or ongoing underlying medical condition seek advise from their treating physician. Your doctor will be in a better position to advise with a full picture of your current condition, state of recovery and current treatments (such as your medication).
If you find that the device is not suitable for your condition, please be in touch so we can assist you with a return under our 60 Day money back trial.

Can i use on stroke?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Yunus A.
Thank you for checking. We would recommend that you have a talk to your doctor before you consider use. A stroke is a serious medical condition so it is best to get professional advice. Your doctor will consider how long ago the stroke was, if you are on any medication or have any underlying medical conditions that may be a factor.
There are a few people who should not use Revitive - you can check these here:https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

william m.asked
Do I have to use a moisturizer with my medic machine?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi william m.
It is not necessary that you use moisturiser however we do find that it can help to improve the stimulation that you experience from your Revitive. This is particularly true at the moment - as we head into the cooler months our skin tends to get dry - this can result in a lower stimulation felt. Drinking water can also help.
If you find that you are already well hydrated and you are not seeing a reduction in the sensation you are getting from your Revitive then you may not need to worry.
Please be sure to give us a call to discuss if you would like more information on hydration with regards to your Revitive. Our Customer Service team can be contacted on 07 5443 9767

steve s.asked
I was given my mother’s Revitive ix it has power as in the lights come on when turned on. But no vibration when feet placed on.
It has been used for approximately 2 years
3 answers
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi steve s.
Revitive uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to contract and relax your muscles, which may increase the blood flow in your legs and feet. The sensation of EMS is quite different to vibration - it is more commonly likened to a tingling sensation.
Given that the lights are coming on, it is receiving power. When the device is on, you need to place both bare feet on the foot pads (you need to have both feet on to create the circuit). Then slowly increase the intensity setting until you feel the sensation in your feet and legs. As you get used to the sensation you can gradually increase the intensity until you get strong but comfortable leg muscle contractions.
If you try this and feel it is still not working correctly, please give our customer service team a call to discuss - 07 5443 9767 - they can run through some trouble shooting and if there is an issue, they can organise any necessary steps.
Warm Regards.

A stent itself is not a contraindication, however we do recommend that anyone with a pre-existing medical condition - in particular a history of heart conditions, should check in with their doctor before considering Revitive. Your doctor will be in the best position to advise if the product is right for you - with a full view of your current condition and any relevant medical history.

I would like to know if the machine for arthritic knee would help arthritic feet also does it help build weakened leg muscles? Than you
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi June,
The Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model has larger thigh pads that are designed to deliver electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to the quadriceps muscles which may help to strengthen thigh muscles that support the knee. This extra support may reduce aches, pains and swelling associated with knee osteoarthritis.
The foot pads also use EMS to stimulate the muscles in your calf and food to contract and relax - this can assist to increase circulation in the lower legs.
If we can offer more information, please feel free to give our Customer Service team a call on 07 5443 9767.

Peterasked
What is the equivalent distance on a normal walk toa 30 minute session on power 80?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Peter,
Thank you for your question.
Clinical trials on Revitive have focused on the effects of Electrical Muscle Stimulation from Revitive devices on fresh blood flow and the symptoms caused by an inactive lifestyle or certain medical conditions like knee osteoarthritis. From our clinical tests, we can say that daily use of Revitive may help reduce swollen feet and ankles in people, or relieve aches and discomfort in the knees after a knee surgery. These are two examples of the registered indications for Revitive on the TGA register.
We cannot provide information on the equivalent distance on a normal walk to a 30-minute session on intensity 80 because our research has not been in this area. Revitive should also not be used to replace physical activity. It complements a person's lifestyle by helping to improve blood circulation and swelling so that they can continue doing the things they love like walking or gardening.
There is available on the internet other research on the effects of EMS to the cardiovascular system and metabolism in humans. However, as these are not research which Revitive has undertaken.
I hope you find the answer to your question, as it is quite an interesting one.
With best wishes,
Actegy Health AU
Stephen S.asked
My 81 year old mother had a insertable cardiac monitor fitted can she still use her revitive?
1 answer
Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Stephen S,
We would need to refer this question to her doctor. We ask any user with a pre-existing condition (especially heart conditions) to ensure that their doctor has cleared them for use. They will have the best picture of her current condition and treatments.
If the cardiac monitor operates via electronic impulses it is possible that Revitive may not be suitable as it uses electronic muscle stimulation, but it is best to check with a medical professional.
If we can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to call 07 5443 9767.

I have Revitive model 2469MD to help with circulation problems and swollen leg . All caused from knee surgery 9 years ago. I know may have arthritis on my right leg and also have swelling on right leg too. Can I buy the arthritis pads as an add on and use with my current Revitive model 2469MD? Other wise I have to pay for another machine ? If you could let me know

Revitive M.Revitive
Hi Marisa,
You have the Revitive Medic model. The thigh pads are only designed to work on the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model. The Osteoarthritis-Knee model has a specific Arthritis-mode that delivers a more intense stimulation designed to work those larger quadriceps muscles that can assist in strengthening the area and supporting the knee.
We have some great exclusive offers on our website - these tend to change every 4-6 weeks so it is worthwhile keeping an eye on these. We also have refurbished models available (these have usually been a part of a brief home trial - we fully check and restore each unit). These are sold via our eBay outlet store.
If we can be of assistance in this decision please feel free to call us for a chat - 07 5443 9767
