Circulation Booster Medic

Hi, after chemo I have neuropathy in my feet and cramps in my calves. I bought a Revitive 3 months ago and it has helped the condition. However, on occasion whilst I am using it I feel electric type shocks in the sole of my right foot causing me to lift it off. Reducing the power seems to have little effect. Why the electric shocks?

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Chris M,

Glad to hear that Revitive is assisting with the Neuropathy. The device is not able to produce electric shocks but you may experience a sharp sensation when you have a crack or abrasion in the foot or heel or even an area of extreme dryness. Dry feet are very common at this time of the year as the weather cools and our skin dries out. If you do have a crack or cut you can cover it with a plaster and this should do the trick until the broken skin heals. We also recommend that you apply moisturiser to the feet and keep the skin well hydrated. Taking a glass of water before and after use can assist.

If this does not help, please give us a call so we can get some more information and try to assist you further - 07 5443 9767

Warm Regards,

Hi Chris,

Good plan... Give us a call if you are still having issues after a few good hydration sessions (although we generally lean more towards moisturiser and water ;-) ;-)

Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Mum M,

Your suspicion is correct. Hydration is absolutely an important factor for the intensity of the sensation that you experience. It is often the reason for noticing a differing intensity from day to day.

We find users report feeling a lower sensation as we head into the cooler / drier months when our skin becomes dry and we drink a little less water. Increasing your intake of water and hydrating the skin can certainly help keep the intensity stronger.

If you feel the variance is significant and are keeping well hydrated, please give our Customer Service team a call so we can discuss further. They can be reached on 07 5443 9767

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Yunus A.

Thank you for checking. We would recommend that you have a talk to your doctor before you consider use. A stroke is a serious medical condition so it is best to get professional advice. Your doctor will consider how long ago the stroke was, if you are on any medication or have any underlying medical conditions that may be a factor.

There are a few people who should not use Revitive - you can check these here:https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi pauline m.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition we do recommend that you speak to your doctor before using Revitive or in this case it may be wise to wait until you have recovered.

You do not want to apply EMS directly to areas of the skin that have open wounds or rashes, swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions. This may be the case with this condition depending on the areas effected by Cellulitis.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of any further assistance - our Customer Service Team can be reached on 07 5443 9767.

Hi Kitchen Connection,

Thanks for your question. REVITIVE is not suitable for people with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). If this is the condition causing your blockages we would not recommend use. For any other blockages or pre-existing conditions you should certainly have a discussion with your Doctor to determine if it is safe for use in your case.

Hi Johnj

REVITIVE Medic is registered to assist with conditions relating to the lower limbs. Use of the body pads on the arms and hands is to be at the discretion of the user. If you choose to apply EMS to these areas we would recommend that you start on a very low setting and gradually increase to a comfortable level. If any discomfort is experienced, please cease use on this part of the body.

Does Revitive extend to relief of pain in the hips during walking?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Don and Carol,

REVITIVE Circulation Booster is a drug-free medical device that may improve the circulation in your legs and feet. The effects of the stimulation from the foot pads is generally felt as high as the knees. While the overall benefit of improved circulation may result in improved mobility for some users, the device itself is not specifically designed to provide relief to the hip area.

Hope this answers your question. If we can give you any more information please feel free to ask or you can contact our Customer Service Team on 07 5443 7967

I have stasis dermatitis in both legs and have been assessed as being unsuitable for compression stockings, would this device help my condition?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Dave M,

This is a good question. There are several things to consider. Firstly we recommend that anyone with an existing medical condition checks in with their doctor before using REVITIVE. Your doctor will be best placed to advise if it is right for you with a full view of your medical history.

Stasis dermatitis can be a symptom of other underlying conditions, so please also check our contraindications to ensure that there are no other reasons why REVITIVE may not be right for you -https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

One caution with your condition would be to ensure that you do not have ulcers or broken skin on the base of your feet and not to apply the body pads directly to areas effected by the dermatitis.

Hopefully your Doctor can assist further in advising if REVITIVE will assist you. If we can give you any more product information, please feel free to contact our customer service team on 07 5443 9767.

Had a tkr 7 weeks ago and I can’t feel any of the pulses from the machine in my operative leg. Why is that?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Marion,

I hope your recovery is going smoothly. Are you feeling the stimulation in your other (non-operative) leg? If yes, I can assume your device is working ok? If you are not feeling it in either leg let me know and I can talk you through some trouble shooting.

If you are feeling stimulation in the other leg, then it is hard to say for sure why you are not feeling it in your operative leg. We recommend using caution when using REVITIVE within 6 months of a surgery to ensure your healing process is not interrupted. Perhaps your recovery may be a factor. We would recommend that you check in with your Doctor before continuing to use REVITIVE. They may be able to give you a more effective response with a full picture of your procedure and the progress of your recovery.

can I use a Revitive Medic while suffering a fractured Clavlcle?

3 answers
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your question. I just want to clarify - are you looking for relief for your injury or enquiring about the safety to use or continue to use REVITIVE while recovering?

If you are using REVITIVE via the foot pads to assist you with circulation or other indicated purposes, then your injury should not impact this. EMS delivered via the foot pads will stimulate your lower leg muscles, We do not recommend applying the electrode body pads anywhere near your injury.

REVITIVE is not indicated to assist you with your clavicle injury. If in any doubt it would be worth discussing with your doctor - they will have a full picture of your condition and stage of your recovery. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767

My dad has a non cancerous spinal cord tumour, can he use circulation boost medic machine for his back or will the vibrations cause damage?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Joanne,

The short answer is that we would need your Dad to check in with his doctor before using REVITIVE. Anyone with a pre-existing medical condition is recommended to consult with their doctor to ensure that the device is right for them with a full picture of their condition and medical history.

Just to clarify the vibrations - REVITIVE does not vibrate as such, the unit delivers Electrical Muscle Stimulation which will contract and relax the leg muscles. Most people feel the contractions in the lower leg - possibly as high as the knee. He should therefore not feel the stimulation as high as his back, but again with his tumor, his doctor should be consulted.

Hope this is helpful. Our customer service team can assist if you require any further clarification - 07 5443 9767

Hi, I recently purchased the Medic model, which I thought at the time was the OsteoArthritis model. Recently, meaning last week. Am i able to purchased the pads seperately and use the medic model for knee OA? If not, can you suggest how I swap?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Dorian Z.

The Osteoarthritis-knee has a specific mode that is designed to target the larger quadriceps leg muscles that works with the thigh pads (versus the smaller electrode body pads that come with the medic). The Medic does not have this mode.

So our best bet would be to find a way to switch out your device. To do this I will need to know where you purchased the REVITIVE Medic. I am going to send you a private message through this page to get some further details on your purchase and see what we can come up with.

Circulation Booster Medic

Hi, I have been using the Revitive Medic for a week and now have cramp in my upper right legs I would like to know if this is normal and if it will calm down on its own. I have visited my doctor and he thinks the use of the machine has caused this, but I am not sure. Can you please advise if I should stop using the machine?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Reeta,

Thanks for your enquiry. There are a few factors that may be at play here. To begin with we recommend you start off on a low setting to get used to the sensation for at least a few days. We then suggest you slowly increase the intensity to a point where you are getting muscle contractions but it should always remain comfortable. You should not be experiencing any discomfort or pain while using the device.

Secondly it is possible to get some muscle fatigue if you are using it too often to begin with. Just like when you start off with an exercise program - it can take your muscles a little while to get used to the stimulation. For this reason we suggest you begin with one 30 minute session each day (at the lower intensity) and build up. If you feel like this is too much, you can always start off with shorter sessions - this comes down to the individual user. You can gradually increase the number of sessions when you are comfortable.

With all of that said, we don't know your medical background so your Doctor may have reasons we are not aware of to suggest you cease use. If anyone has a pre-existing medical condition we do recommend that they discuss this with their Doctor prior to use and follow their advice. There are contraindications to using REVITIVE so it is important that you check these - they can be viewed here - https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

I hope this answers your question. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team on 1800 505 108.

Where do I position the medic pads to help treating numb hands?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi John,

Thanks for your message. There are a few points to cover here. The numbness in your hands may be linked to an underlying health condition. As such we always recommend that anyone with a pre-existing condition consult their doctor before considering the use of REVITIVE. There is more information on this here - https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

Next thing to mention is that we do not recommend the electrode body pads are used directly on areas of numbess so check in with your doctor on this. They might be able to make a suggestion for the best positioning (if they deem REVITIVE to be suitable for you). And lastly, if your doctor does decide REVITIVE is suitable, we do have gloves available that may assist your hands - perhaps another option to discuss with your doctor.

I hope this is helpful - please feel free to contact our customer service team if we can be of any further assistance. 1800 505 108

What should I set it at for planter fasciitis? Right now it’s on 33.

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Rita,

Thanks for your question. Everyone is different and will react differently to the intensity level settings. It is advisable to start off on a low setting and work up slowly until you can feel the mild electrical impulses in your feet and the muscles in the calf visibly contract and relax, and always at a level that is comfortable. If your feet lift off the device or your legs ache after use, you may need to lower the intensity setting. REVITIVE is not indicated to help with plantar fasciitis specifically. Using REVITIVE Circulation Booster could help with improving blood circulation in the legs and feet, and reducing swollen feet and ankles.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service team if you have any further questions or need more information.
