Thank you for your response. I had 30 minutes on it this morning. I set it to 50 and it feels good as it was rocking. Hope this device will help the numbness and tingling of my feet cause by chemotherapy. I will use it daily for 30 mins.

Hi Ma Ressie R.

(Thanks Kim for your feedback!)

A hysterectomy is not a contraindication however we do recommend that you use with caution within 6 months of any surgery to ensure that your healing is not disturbed. If you feel like you are well healed and are keen to begin use (you may wish to check with your doctor to be 100% sure) we suggest that you take it easy to begin with and listen to your body. If you feel any discomfort take a break, lower the intensity and give yourself extra time between sessions.

It takes ages for wounds to heal on my lower leg and wondering if my blood circulation gets better would it help healing quicker

I am not a Doctor, just a user of my Revitive, but for me having had two new knees put in at the same time and having had very large cuts for that done on both knees, they have certainly healed beautifully, and my swelling goes down more every days, circulation and Muscle stimulation is my help to my healing I believe.

Ted Price

Hi Wedgie, like Adrianna I am also not a doctor so cannot answer your question on wound healing. I can, however, say that after about 20 years becoming increasingly immobile due to fractured bones, due to severe osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, my muscles had wasted to a great degree. The electronic muscle stimulation, after a month, has had marked positive results. All the best, Ted

Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Wedgie,

(and thank you Adriana and Ted!!). I agree - it might be worth a chat to your doctor to make sure there are no underlying medical conditions that may be responsible for the slow healing.

Revitive uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to contract and relax your muscles, which may increase oxygen rich blood flow in your legs and feet. If your doctor clears you to use the device, it is important to that you do not apply foot-pads or Body Pads directly on open wounds or rashes, swollen, red, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions (such as phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, cellulitis)

Hi Cheryl,

Restless legs can be a frustrating condition. Generally speaking, Revitive uses electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) which may help to improve circulation in the legs and feet. At this stage Revitive is not indicated to assist with this condition specifically.

If we can offer any more detail, please feel free to touch base with our Customer Service team for a chat. They can be reached on 07 5443 9767.

Circulation Booster Osteoarthritis-Knee

Hi, would you need both medic plus and osteo knee machines for osteoarthritis and neurpathy type leg swelling? Or could you just buy the osteo knee one to do both. It seems like when you are not using the sticky pads for the thighs the machine is doing the same thing as the normal circulation booster?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Julie,

You are right - the foot pads of both devices will deliver the Electrical Muscle Stimulation which may help to reduce pain and discomfort in the legs caused by Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

The Osteoarthritis knee device has a specific arthritis mode which works via the larger thigh pads to deliver a specific EMS mode designed for the larger quadriceps muscles. If you suffer from Knee Osteoarthris, this may be the better option for you.

Medic Plus does not have the Arthritis mode, but does offer a TENS mode for temporary pain relief. Our comparison page may help to identify the main differences between the machines: https://www.revitive.com.au/compare-our-products/

If you are still unsure, please feel free to have a chat with our helpful Customer Service team - 07 5443 9767. They may be able to help advise the right device for you.

Are they safe to use for anyone taken blood thinners like Plavix?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi karinv,

Blood thinners themselves, are not a contraindication, however these would be taken to manage a pre-existing condition. We recommend anyone with a pre-existing condition (especially a heart condition) seek advice from their doctor before use. The doctor will be in the best place to assess the current condition and has full view of any relevant medical history of the patient.

The contraindications for use can be reviewed here ; https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

Circulation Booster

Is it normal to need a higher setting on my retivite circulation booster when I use it first thing in the morning and a lower setting in the evening?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi WJB,

Good question. Hydration is the most likely reason. When we are less hydrated the stimulation we experience will be lower. After a full night sleep you may wake feeling a little thirsty. Taking a big glass of water and ensuring your legs and feet are hydrated can assist here. Some users report that they find the sensation stronger after a shower. If you shower in the evening before an evening session - this may be a factor.

If you are concerned, a chat to your doctor may rule out any other medical causes. If we can offer any further advice, please feel free to have a chat with our Customer Service team - 07 5443 9767

Hi Ian,

Thanks for checking - if your irregular heartbeat is managed by a pacemaker - you should not use Revitive.

If you do not have a pacemaker, we would suggest you check with your doctor before use. Anyone with a pre-existing condition should have a discussion with their health care provider before use to ensure that the product is suitable in your current condition and with full understanding of any medical history.

My intensity level seems to change each day, why is that? Somedays I use 75 and some days, I can only tolerate 65.

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Robyn F,

Great question. This can be due to a number of reasons. The first is hydration - the more hydrated your body is the more effective the Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS). When we have users concerned that they are feeling lower sensations on the same intensity the first suggestion is usually to hydrate the skin on the feet and to drink some additional water. One or both of these areas can be a contributor. Ensuring you are always well hydrated will result in the most effective delivery of the EMS.

Other contributors may be related to any underlying conditions that you may have. If any of these conditions are flaring up or causing you more or less discomfort on a particular day, this may effect the sensation you experience. If you have had an intense day and are suffering from aches or pains, this may contribute. It is difficult to say with any certainty. If you would like to discuss directly, you can have a chat with our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767. If you are concerned, a discussion with your doctor might also be a good idea.

I hope this helps. Please be sure to give us a call if we can assist further.

IS it ok to use 14months after knee replacement?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi eric b,

Revitive is safe to use with metallic implants. We suggest using with caution within the first 6 months of any recent surgery however if you feel fully recovered then it should be fine. We'd suggest you start off slow and build up over time as your body adjusts.

There is a small chance electrical stimulation may feel more intense close to a metallic implant. It is safe to continue use provided no pain is experienced. You may need to adjust the intensity to a comfortable level.

Hi Catherine,

We do not recommend applying foot-pads or Body Pads directly on open wounds or rashes, swollen, red, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions. Indirectly this may be ok, but we would highly recommend checking with your doctor first. They will be in a better position to advise if the stimulation will be suitable for you with a full view of your current condition and treatment plan.

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Barry,

We recommend 1 x 20-30 minute sessions per day. If you are new to Revitive, you may wish to start off with a shorter session. As you get used to the sensation you may increase the duration of the session. Many users enjoy two 30 minute sessions per day. It depends on the individual.

The maximum number that we suggest is 6 x 30 minute sessions per day.

I hope this helps. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767
