Hi Marisa,

You have the Revitive Medic model. The thigh pads are only designed to work on the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee model. The Osteoarthritis-Knee model has a specific Arthritis-mode that delivers a more intense stimulation designed to work those larger quadriceps muscles that can assist in strengthening the area and supporting the knee.

We have some great exclusive offers on our website - these tend to change every 4-6 weeks so it is worthwhile keeping an eye on these. We also have refurbished models available (these have usually been a part of a brief home trial - we fully check and restore each unit). These are sold via our eBay outlet store.

If we can be of assistance in this decision please feel free to call us for a chat - 07 5443 9767

I'm using my circulation booster on 70. This is as high as I can tolerate on my feet, but I still can't feel any muscles contracting anywhere above my ankle. Any ideas why?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Gayle,

You've done the right thing - you should not be increasing the intensity too high - it needs to stay at a comfortable level.

Revitive is intended to work the muscles of the feet and lower legs. The level to which the sensation is experienced can vary from person-to-person. Do you have any underlying medical conditions? This may impact the sensation felt. In either case, it might be worth checking in with your Doctor to be sure.

IF we can help any further please feel free to have a chat with our Customer Service team on 07 5443 9767

My father is 90, has COPD and due to breathlessness is in a wheelchair most of the time. His feet are very swollen and he tries to keep them raised as much as he can which helps a little. Recently the swelling has spread up one leg. There is no pain but discomfort, possibly due to the stretched skin. He was tested as his doctor thought it could be a blood clot but thankfully it isn’t. Do you think the Revitive could help his swollen feet and leg?
Thank you, Sarah

Hi Sarah,

It sounds very uncomfortable for your Father. Revitive may assist with swelling and discomfort in the lower legs for otherwise healthy individuals. When there are pre-existing conditions at play we have to defer to the customer's doctor for advice. It might be a good idea to have a chat with his doctor at his next visit - also have a look through the contraindications to make sure there are no other factors that may impact on the suitability for him.

Hi Herb,

Thanks for your message. It is possible that there may be an issue with your power chord. Do you have a Revitive stockist close by (maybe the store you purchased it from)? They will usually have a replacement power chord that you could test to see if this is the issue.

Alternatively if you give our Customer Service team a call - 07 5443 9767 they can discuss the issue with you and help find a solution.

I checked the power cord with A voltmeter and got 5.02 volts. So it appears there’s no problem with the power cord. I believe the problem is with the main battery and I can’t really get to that. So what do I do now. I know of no revivtive store in Minnesota to take it too. Can I send it back for repair or exchange?

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Herb,

Thanks for investigating the issue further. You've reached the Australian head office for Revitive. The best thing to do is to touch base with the US Head Office. You can go to the local website - www.us.revitive.com - you should be able to find the contact details for your area.

I hope this helps.

Hi AntoinetteJ,

Are you finding that you cannot feel the sensation at all on the right leg or it is a lower sensation? It is not unusual to have to increase the intensity over time as you get used to the stimulation, but it does tend to level out after a while.

I'm not 100% clear on the settings you are asking about - would it be possible for you to give our Customer Service number a call - it may be easier to have a quick chat to determine what is happening. I have only started using the Revitive circulation booster for 4 days as I suffer from severe leg pain and cramps in my calf’s and thighs due to fibromyalgia. I am only using it on a very low setting of 4 or 5 but have found that it is making my leg pain a lot worse and wondered if it is normal to experience a worsening of pain before seeing an improvement that I simply need to get through or if I should stop using the device?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi MarieW,

On occasion we may have users report muscle fatigue when they are starting off using Revitive - generally when they are beginning a high intensity or having longer sessions. However we would not consider 4 or 5 to be a high intensity.

Given that you are suffering from Fibromyalgia it would be best to discontinue use and check with your doctor to ensure that Revitive is suitable to use with this condition. We recommend that anyone with a pre-existing condition should check with their health care practitioner before using Revitive.

Can Revitive circulation booster cause leg cramps? I have one leg that has damaged circulation and one leg that has excellent circulation. I've worked up to having the revitive at setting 40. The damaged leg seems to be experiencing some benefit from the booster but the good leg is cramping at night.

Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Donna G,

Thanks for checking in with us. No it is not expected for Revitive to cause you any cramping after use. If you use it too often or at too high an intensity (especially if you are new to using Revitive), you may experience some muscle fatigue. When this occurs we would suggest you take a break and when you are feeling recovered ensure that you are using it on a comfortable setting - use the more sensitive side as your gauge.

If you are concerned, please check in with your doctor to ensure there is no other underlying condition.

am 90, what is the recommended intensity to start with?

3 answers
Barbara Harnden
Barbara Harnden

I would say start about 20 as this is only slight tingling and when you get used to it, boost the strength by increments of 5 until it is comfortable. If you go too high too soon, it makes your calf muscles sore.

Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Sue,

Barbara has given some great advice. The short answer is that there is no 'right' or recommended intensity. This is a very individual thing. We have users on 10 and others on 99.

What we recommend is that you start low - between 10-20 and see how the sensation feels. If you cannot feel it or it is very light, start increasing as Barbara suggested. Start slow and let your body get used to the sensation and build up. You want to work up to strong, but comfortable muscle contractions. This will be experienced at different intensities for different people.

As Barbara mentioned, if you use it for too long or at an intensity that is too much for you initially you may experience some muscle fatigue.

I hope this helps. If we can offer any more advice, please feel free to touch base with our Customer Service Team on 07 5443 9767

From what I found just use the setting that you feel most comfortable with at first and adjust it overtime that's what I did I started on an intensity of 20 and the more that I got use to the sensation and the way the device worked I ended up on 32.

I have model 2469MD. Can I purchase the thigh Padres separately and use them with this model?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Paulette,
You can purchase the Thigh Pads separately but we do not recommend use with the 2469MD model. Due to the large Thigh Pad size, the same amount of electrical current from 2469MD will be spread across a greater area leading to less effective therapy for the muscles.

The Thigh Pads were developed specifically for use with Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee and recommended to be used together with the Arthritis Mode on this machine to work the large thigh muscles.

Hope this information helps.

Revitive doesn’t rock after 40 minutes at setting 60. Any suggestions?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Jim,

The IsoRocker gently allows ankle joint movement, replicating heel-toe raises as the leg muscles contract and relax, without placing undue pressure on legs and feet. The device itself does not rock - it is the muscles in your legs that cause the involuntary rocking.

There is a flap on the back of the device that acts as a disabler - it is worth checking that this is not open (to use the IsoRocker it should be flush against the back of the device).

The IsoRocker rocks when increased to an intensity which causes sufficient calf muscle contraction. When this happens you see your toes will dip slightly to cause the rocking motion. It may be that you need to increase the intensity a little more to achieve strong enough contractions to activate the rocker. If however, intensity 60 is as high as you can comfortably go, do not increase further. The stimulation should not be uncomfortable and certainly not cause any pain. It is OK to use Revitive without the IsoRocker action - if you are achieving muscle contractions you will still be getting those leg muscles pumping.

Circulation Booster Osteoarthritis-Knee

I have arthritis in both knees and I am due to have knee replacement some time this year.
Would the machine be a substitute for knee replacement?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi eddie burney,

We do have a model that is designed to assist with Knee-Osteoarthritis however as you are currently under treatment for the condition and awaiting surgery, it would be best to check with your doctor first.

If your doctor clears you for use, the model that would be the best to consider is the Revitive Osteoarthritis-Knee. This model has a specific arthritis mode and thigh pads that are designed to assist with the larger quadriceps muscles ; https://www.revitive.com.au/osteoarthritis-knee/

It is also a good idea to check the contraindications to make sure the product is suitable for you: https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

Post surgery it is worth noting that we recommend using with caution within the first 6 months to ensure that there is no disruption to your recovery. You would also only resume use with your Doctor's approval. With regards to metallic implants - the device is still ok to use with metallic implants. There is a small chance that the stimulation may feel more intense close to the site of a metallic implant. If this is experienced you should reduce the intensity to a comfortable level.

Circulation Booster

can i use revitive after hip relplacement and what speed would you suggest?

1 answer
Revitive
Revitive M.Revitive

Hi Dot,

Provided you have no other health issues, and your surgery wasn't recent, your hip replacement is not a problem for use.

If your surgery was within the last 6 months we suggest that you apply caution to ensure it does not have any impact on your recovery. Start slow and listen to your body - if you need to, take shorter sessions and keep the intensity at a comfortable level. If you have any concerns about your stage of recovery, it is always best to have a chat with your doctor.

If your surgery was not recent, there is a small chance the stimulation may be a little more intense close to a metallic implant. If this does occur, we suggest you lower the intensity to a comfortable level.

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions you should check with your doctor before use. It is also important to check the contraindications for use to ensure that the product is right for you. You can read these here: https://www.revitive.com.au/can-i-use/

Regarding the settings - there is no 'right' intensity for everyone. It is very individual. You are aiming to have strong but comfortable muscle contractions - it is important that you start low while you get used to the sensation and build up until you can feel good muscle contractions. Remember - it should always remain comfortable.

Hi coroman,

It would be best to check with the treating doctor. Generally speaking, Revitive is safe to use with metallic implants however there is a small possibility that the sensation may feel slightly more intense close to the site of the metal implant. If this is experienced we suggest you lower the intensity to a comfortable level. If any discomfort is experienced you should stop use.

It sounds like the person is in a healing phase - it would be best to check with their Doctor before use - it is important that their current condition and future treatment plan is considered.
