Gone faulty after 20 times in use. Each time only used for 20 minutes Not able to test or fault chase without a total removal out of the building. Poor design & workman ship from China

Broken after three years, cost a fortune to fix
Broken after using three years. Called the company and they got me someone who is specialized in fixing it, however it cost even more than installing a new one. Ended getting a new one considering that it was never that good even when it was working (my kitchen is still oily while I don't cook with too much oil at all), and it cost 550aud to fix what is essentially an overprice and badly made fan.

Robinhood doesn't sound Chinese.
We didn't want a poor quality Chinese rangehood and were offered a good deal on a New Zealand brand: Robinhood.
But when we received the box, it had "MADE IN CHINA" in big letters on it.
This model has 4 x 10W halogen 'puck' lights that struggle to fill the shadow of the hood. The first light burned out in 6 weeks. The pucks are manufactured by a Chinese electrical company and are not physically interchangable with any of the sizes of LED puck lights currently on the market. bulbs cannot be fitted to reduce the shadow. Robinhood also advertise LED kitchen lighting so I rang them to see if they have an LED upgrade for their range hoods: they didn't want to talk to me and told me that no substitution is possible. It appears that the only part of Robinhood in this unit is the name. With halogen bulbs following in the demise of incandescent bulbs, I have armed myself with a carton of (quality) 12V, 10W bulbs. The best way to change the bulbs is to remove the filter, disconnect the puck cable at the connector, push out the whole puck and change the bulb on a table. This is much easier than trying to change bulbs in-situ and removes the risk of fingerprinting the bulb or dropping it on the cooktop. Great when it was working
Looks proved decieving .the great design is flawed.does not allow access to mechanical components for repairs i.e. If you can find someone willing to fix it .it will also cost a fortune, even if a simple problem.the whole thing has to be dismantled to access the motor /switches etc.the cost in labour exceeds the purchase price.can't recommend this product to anyone. The installer would not help with back up service to this product when it had a fault.
