Dodgey dodgey dodgey
Totally agree with the fake bidding. My bid instantly was out bid, then the exact same item showed up with a couple of items from the same lot again.... The next week.... In a new auction.
Also took payment then didn't reply that they won't send unless I pay postage. Should have let me know before taking my money?!?

Fake bidders
Every time you bid on an item with seconds to go there always seems to be another bidder that bids over you with a second left, apparently Lloyds have bidded on items to bump up the sale price then if thats the case STAY AWAY!

Fake pearls from china - do not buy
Do not buy any jewellery from Lloyds auctions, pearls are fake. The 7-8mm Genuine Natural White & Pink & Purple Akoya Cultured Pearl Necklace were fakes from Aliexpress (China) for $5. They even used the same photo as Aliexpress, just lazy fraud.

Took my money and refuse to refund
Won at auction and after they were unable to deliver items they just kept my money. I wont on the 03/03/2020 and it is not 17/04/2020
Don't hand your money over to this company. If they can't supply the service or goods they will just keep your money.
Their customer support is also a total joke. Insulting at best and completely full of crap.
Good luck! And steer clear of this company. If you like money or the items you can purchase with it then this is not the place for you!

Shill bidders Paradise
Lloyds auction online is full of Shill-bidding trying to push the prices up. (Most likely the vendor) Even if you are the highest bidder, no guarantee you have actually got won item. Out of nowhere, there is apparently a reserve on items.
I will and would advise others to avoid this shonky online auction place.

Exceedingly POOR customer service - A perfect example of what not to do in a service industry.
I wanted more information on a classic car up for auction, and the auction notes stated "contact for a video inspection". I left 3 voicemails for Frank at Lloyds, called the office twice and left him a further 2 messages and even sent an email with no return communication at all prior to the fall of the hammer. I was the final bidder but my bid fell short of the reserve. Frank then called me, told me the offer was well short so I made an increased offer and have not heard from him in 48 hours. Seems this might be their operational model.
I expect I will see this car back on line again in future.

Misleading and deceptive by ommission
Bid and won an electrical item (dedicated paper scanner) but elected to pay on collection. Power transformer/cable was missing on collection which is a critical item to allow use. Was told tough luck, if not specifically mentioned in the description as included then its not (I could accept a missing USB cable, but not a specific power supply). The next lot (same scanner but different model) had same description (no mention of power cable included) but did have the power transformer and even the USB cable with it. They couldn't explain that. I ...Read more
refused to complete/pay for item on the basis that such an obvious omission was misleading and deceptive conduct. Lady at counter was most unhelpful (wouldn't tell her first name - just said to refer to her by a generic description as the office girl out the front - which there were 3 of). She eventually went into the back and came back saying she had good news, she spoke to the top manager (who she previously said wasn't available) and he agreed to remove my bid. Thanks - guess I will write off driving from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast to collect. Was told it would all be taken care of. Got a couple of emails later reminding me to pay - which I ignored. Then got a call about a week later asking why I hadn't paid and collected item. Went through the explanation of events and reinforced that the description of the item was misleading by omission of information that would have be a critical factor to a person deciding to bid or the amount to bid. Told me he would fix it which he did and item was removed from my account and said he would investigate the item and description. About a week+ later, saw the same item with the exact same description (no mention of the missing item to allow the scanner to work) listed in one of their other auctions. They obviously do not care about properly describing items which they are responsible for as it is them, not the source/supplier of the goods, that are presenting/marketing them to the public. The obvious impression one gets is that proper description would result in lower auction prices which means lower % for the seller and buyer commissions they charge. For reference, a replacement of that transformer cable was $250+, more than the value of the second-hand scanner (and combined being more than buying a similar brand new). Read all the other reviews here and elsewhere - the clear impression you walk away with is that anything electrical, more likely than not, will be defective in some way. I'm much more critical in looking at auctions with this company and now ignore anything that is electrical. Just not worth paying money for junk unless you are happy to write that $ off and take it to the rubbish tip as trying to deal with this company afterwards is frustrating to say the least.Similar opinion? Intentionally misleading advertising
Advertises 2013 model when its actually 2006 model, was the highest bidder on item and communicated various times with staff as to actual age of machine. After auction was subjected to sudden "reserve not met" and even after raising my bid - was not even communicated that bid refused. Back on auction - STILL advertising as 2013 model!! that's just plain underhand!

Why does it take over a month to receive your goods?
This is the third experience I have had with Lloyds. the only positive one was when I went to a factory unit to physically pick up my goods.
The other two times I have had to send numerous emails and make long winded phonecalls just to find out when they will shipp my goods, not to mention also being hung up on by some upstart in accounts.
These guys are a classic case of left hand does not know what the right hand is doing type of operation.
What a shame.
If you like waiting long periods for your goods then purchase your items at Lloyds auctions!

Sucked in and ripped off
I won an auction for a Samsung watch. on the day I collected it I opened the box and the watch inside was totally smashed beyond repair.
I returned to the counter straight away to report the condition of the watch, but the counter staff was not interested in my concerns and sited the goods were purchased "as is" and no more can be done.
I was originally the highest closing bid at the end of this auction, but I was informed my bid did not reach the sellers reserve. I was encouraged to increase my bid on the watch and Lloyds Auctions "will go in ...Read more

Complete waste of time and money
6 Items bid on and won, paid $10 each for delivery totalling $60 delivery. All arrived in one box a week and a half later. Items didn’t work(electronic). Don’t bother with these auctions unless you inspect before you bid. You will seldom get a good deal only pay extra for rubbish.

Not to be trusted. go elsewhere
Bid on an auction. Won the auction, Got payment advice. paid for item and freight well before due date. Then started to get emails saying payment is due, etc. I sent proof of payment, only to be told there has been some confusion and they will have to refund my money. I replied that i wanted the item i had won fairly and squarely. LLoyds rep said we cant do that, but couldn't tell me why. Kept on saying we will refund you. I can only think one of their staff stole the item, and thats why they mucked me around. I ended up giving them my bank details and it still took over a month to get my money back. Would advise against dealing with these crooks.

Worst online auction service I have experienced
Site doesn't honour the highest bid as winning price. Site has reserves not advertised. Sales call tried to sell at there "special" price. This site is misleading and waste of time.Avoid this site.

Biggest joke in the auction game
Recently there was a auction in my home town and I bought a few items totalling $30 and Lloyd’s wanted an extra $150 for shipping to their warehouse 100km away . There was no option to not pay the shipping and then I was expected to drive a hour to collect my items during office hours . When I lived only 2 minutes from the action auction location . They are simply using the shipping to make $$$$ . It’s also easy to see they use postage stamp low res photos so bidders can’t get a clear look at items . Customer service is horrendous and their so called 24/7 customer service line is never answered after hours . I can’t see how companies like this stay in business as long as they do .

Buyer Beware when purchasing any item from Lloyds auction house check the product first as they are not as advertised
I purchased a new golf cart (2019 unused) 4 klm on clock, one would expect batteries to be new and unused.
Buyer beware currently 3 x 2022 model Lion golf carts on auction site (lot 1845, lot 1846, Lot 1847) please check batteries first not unused and possible other problems consider whether you want a Lion brand golf cart
Buyer beware as expected from Lloyds auction house
I have purchased new batteries and still not going, have found a solenoid problem and currently waiting on part, by the time I get it going it will have cost me an extra $2...Read more

Bad Quality
I have been purchasing from Lloyds since approx. 2009 when the auctions were held on location, since either change of ownership or management that place has changed the quality of products have gone down, the descriptions and pictures don't match the item I was looking online and my husband was at carrara I told him to look at the lot number but the product wasn't what the picture had or description so I made him put a worker on the phone and they said it was a mistake but hen nothing was changed before the auction started in 20 minutes. we br...Read more
ought stuff over the last weeks and description states includes shelves but didn't I have had a lot of issues over the last few weeks with them and I get the same email to info@ but sometimes I get an email back 4 days later with nobodys name attached but they don't even fix the issues I have emailed back and request a phone call but you don't get one. we just purchased an item which I believe should not been sold as I am currently talking to the distributor and giving him serial numbers to fix the issue no thanks to Lloyds selling stolen stuff now, they only look after the big customers and suppliers as if it was just a every day person selling you can have a reserve on the first time if you place again your reserve needs to be lowered to there price and third time unreserve, but with there good suppliers of equipment they have had the same item for over a month with same reserve price. very poor service the guys on the floor are mostly good to talk to the girls 70% are nice to talk to but management is crapSimilar opinion? HORRIBLE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE
I bought one set of "SHERATON" super king sheets at auction and another set not at auction. When I took the sheets out of the packet I noticed there was a 10cm join on the top and bottom of the fitted sheet. When I washed them the stitching came undone. I returned the first set as faulty and the second set as faulty but not washed. The manager of Manchester noted that the Super King Sheet sets have this join and agreed they are faulty. This 10cm join on a fitted sheet is faulty and I have never seen a join on any fitted sheets I have previously...Read more
purchased. I was told I would get a refund. This was on 11th November 1st set and 14th November 2nd Set. After I did not get my refund I enquired when it would be done. I was told 10-14 days after it was processed. Also everytime I call I can only speak to the office girls, who are lovely but am constantly told to put in a email to INFO@ I did this and still no response. I was then told to put in a email to CUSTOMER SERVICE @ still no refund. Although I have been promised one. Also Lloyds will not tell you who is INFO or CUSTOMER SERVICE. You cannot talk to them on the phone and they do not return your call? Lloyds continued to sell these faulty sheet sets KNOWINGLY. I am still waiting for my refund and have lodged a complaint with Office of Fair Trading. I am appalled that a company can KNOWINGLY continue to sell faulty products and then take so long to process a refund. Also the sheets are SHERATON not SHERIDAN, VERY MISLEADING. This is very poor service and not very ethical. I cannot in good conscience do this to my customers, I too run a business.
