Mower wont drive forward or reverse when in gear. Please advise?

My brand new one did the same thing on its maiden work. Seems there is an issue with belt tensioning somewhere but I cant see where. Go back to the dealer and if its a spring buy more than one as it may be a recurring issue.

Looking at buying one for $1200....looks immaculate, don't know anything about ride ons but need one.
