Good little cooker

published

I bought mine used from eBay and have only cooked with it twice but it works nicely. I usually heat the insert with hot water first so it saves time heating up. I find that the 3.5L is great for one person and I usually get 3 meals from it.

not a good buy complete waste of space

published

This product is totally useless. Takes far too long to cook anything. After fourteen hours my shin on bone and vegetables along with barley split peas etc soup it still was not cooked. Then put it on high for a further two hours and finally the meat came away from the bone. The corned silverside took twelve hours and it was only 1.2kg. My okl one cooked these things in far less time. Unfortunately whilst it has a 2 year warranty I bought it twelve months ago and cannot find the Briscoes receipt. Will have to take a chance and hope they will give me a refund. Do not want another one of these. Will never buy Russell Hobbs again. Cannot get the black insert completely clean, leaves a white patch. Totally disappointing.

Dial is of poor quality

published

The RH slow cooker is slower than other brands to cook. It doesn't burn the food (plus). But the tiny plastic dial is too flimsy and cracks. This has happend 2x. One at 3 months one at 13 months. The two year product warranty is better than other brands (such as Breville who only offer 12 months).

Only lasted a month

published

Bought one of these Russell Hobbs just a month ago and has been used 3 times. Put some meat in this morning and it still wasn't done for dinner tonight, when I went to check it was stone cold. Useless brand will be going back to the shop tomorrow.

Had a George Foreman for 6'years prior to this one and am very disappointed that I bought a good brand and it only worked for a couple of weeks.

Great product but substandard parts

published

Love slow cookers and the whole concept of coming home to a meal - use them a lot during the week as we are working parents, but I've had three of them now, and all have cracked their bowls. I won't be going back to purchase a Russell Hobbs again.

Terrible

published

I had one of their big slow cookers and it was awesome. I assumed when I bought this that it would be just a smaller version, but it's not. Something that would take 8 hours on low in the large one was still not cooked to the same stage after 12 hours on high in this one. It's a waste of time, as there aren't enough hours in the day to cook in it!!

I use this slow cooker on an average of once aweek and I find it to be brilliant, easy clean and cooks the food evenly. I have no problems with it at all and would totally recommend it

I don't mind cooking now

published

I love cooking with the slow cooker whether its a casserole or roast meat. Everything tastes better when I put it in the slow cooker. It may take a while to cook (4-8 hours depending on your setting) but you can prepare it the night before and pop it on before work or at lunch time if your home to just serve up when its time for dinner. My kids are high maintenance around dinner preparation time so it takes the stress out of meeting their needs and getting dinner on the table. I would recommend this to anyone, just wish we had a larger one but if you do get a small one and are cooking roast meat you can cover in foil and it cooks just as well.
reliable, easy cleaning, time saver

Excellent

published

This is the greates slow cooker i ever found. It has a great capacity (3.5 L) which enable you to cook large meals. Even you can cook small meals since the shape is qunique. But I like if the shape is mor round since.
you can cook soups. curry and even milk- rice.
One disadvantage is you have to rinceaway the bowl straight after use. This does not allow to keep the leftover for a longer time.
You can cook many recepies with this (My grandma loves it).
Easy to use
Quality lid which fits nicely to the body
Different options of heat
Heavy interior
Shape is not atractive
