Ryobi 18V ONE+ Multi-Purpose Mister & Fogger OFG1800

I purchased this a few weeks ago. The first time I used it, it squirted out a stream of water before eventully (and intermittently) misting. Second time I used it, it sent out a weak stream of water but no mist. Both times, the cap O-ring was clean and correclty seated and the cap screwed on tight. Given the number of negative reviews about this mister which all describe the same fault, clearly it is a design flaw and Ryobi should recall the product.

Fogger my back. This unit pumps a jet of liquid. It does that well and to a good distance of 4-5 metres. There is some misting but its incidental to jetting a strong single stream of liquid. It does not fog or throw any mist without the jet flow. But its called a fogger and I want to lightly apply pesticide to my troubled plants just like my hand sprayer does in small droplets at close distance but to a greater height and area. We live in an area that can be plagued by mosquito's from time to time making outdoor eating etc. a bit difficult.
