Not so great
We switched to S26 Comfort due the the Aptimal HA shortage. I did quite a bit of research (and also took the advice of a pharmacist) and found this formula which is 100% whey partially hydrolised just like our previous HA formula.
The nutrient list also looked very similar. Unfortunately for some reason it just did not agree with our Bub. We had a miserable week with her while she was on this formula. She was spewy, cranky and just generally unsettled. I managed to source some of her old formula and by that afternoon she was back to her norma...Read more

Not good for colic or reflux babies
Since trying this product with my 3month old girl who has colic and reflux, I've found my daughter to be quite unsettled! She usually drinks 6-7 bottles a day, but now only takes 2-3 with nappies not being as heavy! Still trial and error with most of these formulas! Don't be content if it's not working after 2 weeks!

I will be switching back to Lactose Free
My health care nurse gave me a sample tin of S26 Comfort Gold as my 3 month old son suffers from colic and I believe a bit of reflux too. He was previously on S26 Lactose Free and still quite windy and occasional vomits, The nurse suggested I try S26 Comfort. He is drinking it happily but he is still windy and I have noticed an increase in the vomits. My main concern is the dark green runny poos and they smell so bad. I have tried a couple of formulas but never experienced a smell so bad. I have noticed when washing the bottles they are r...Read more
eally oily. I have to use really hot water and lots of detergent to wash them properly (I am using Dr Brown Bottles so there are a few components to clean). I did add a thickener as suggested and it has helped with the vomiting. I am going back to S26 Lactose Free with the thickener.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

can live without it
I am currently feeding my daughter breast milk but from time to time she wants more than i can produce. Heard great things about S26 Gold for newborns so decided to try it. For my daughter (each to their own) it was horrendous. Worst product ever. Not only did she have a 30ml top up (not even a full bottle) she projectile vomited twice and i mean vomited. Entire breast feeds wasted, not to mention green liquid poos. Thumbs down... The quest continues! Good luck ladies!!

Lighter than regular S-26 Gold formula. Happy with it
Changed over the S-26 Gold Comfort after using regular S-26 Gold. At first (like all formula changes) she was gassy and constipated, but after 5 days she's used to it and it's working well for her. She's not constipated anymore but gets a bit of wind. Vomits sometimes but she also did that with breast milk... Have noticed that her stools are runnier.

Wouldnt bother
This formula gave our son constipation. It also gave him strange looking pooh. He never felt full on it at all. Didn't give my son or myself any comfort what so ever. It was suggested by a chemist worker who said they had heard good things about it but I feel that maybe that was only from the actual sales rep.
Pretty packaging
Constipated, funny poohs, gives baby pain

Started good and then turned bad
After a week of using this product my little girl seemed to become constipated dispite following the manufacture recommendations. scoops were measured accurately not over packed. Correct amount added to correct H2O volume. Had to change to NAN and have not looked back. We only tried it because we had tried other brands and bub did not like the taste. S26 has sample packets available unlike other brands. but didn't make it the better one.
Had sample packets to try
Made my girl constipated

Bub not experiencing colic or unsettledness
I thought I would try this formula as my son was screaming after 30mins of any formula which contained a prebiotic that I tried (Aptamil, Heinz Nurture) and was pooping every 3-4 days.
Since taking this he no longer experiences colic or unsettledness though he still takes 3 days to poop but I'm told it takes two weeks for a newborn to adjust to a new formula.
The scoops are made to 60mls per water, and the formula is a darker yellow colour than most other brands and is 100% whey, Contains omega.
Whilst my bub isn't unsettled after his feeds ...Read more

Great formula for our bubs!!
Our Daughter was on S26 gold and wasn't able to keep any feeds down and was constipated and lots of wind and very unsettled, a friend recommended the AR formula but still made DD constipated and unsettled after reading formula reviews at 3am I decided to try Comfort, DD still projectiles vomit but was not constipated and settled easier.
I add a formula thickener to her bottles and have never looked back, this formula is great for my daughter

So Far So Good
We have tried every available store bought formula and have found out along the way that our bubs of 4.5 months is allergic to not only casein but also soy. We are currently waiting for a gastro appointment for a prescription formula and in the meantime have started on S26 gold comfort. Bub settles well without arguments since starting on this formula but is having about 5 very soft bowel movements a day. She burps well after the feed but also we have found she is waking a short time later to burp again. She very rarely vomits on this formula a...Read more
nd it seems only if it is some follow through after a burp. These are very small problems considering what she has had on all other formulas. It mixes well and only needs 3 scoops to a 180 ml bottle. There is no scoop leveler in the tin. She wakes for an extra feed then normal at night now so not as filling as some other formulas. only available at coles, some pharmacies and online. baby settles well, mixes well, no smell, rare vomits not as filling as some other formulas, frequent bowel motions, not avaliable at all supermarketsSimilar opinion? My bub had green stools for months on S26 gold. Had all sorts of tests done. All was clear. It continued until we started solids.
