    Failed at 4 years

    published

Led lenses are falling off leaving white dots the size of a 20 cent coin all over the screen. Contacted Samsung and they state it's normal wear and tear and not willing to assist repair or replace. This was already a replacement t.v. from the previous model that failed. I guess no more buying Samsung.

    Avoid Samsung TVs

    published

Television was great but in the forth year, a dark shadow appeared on the screen until the entire bottom half of the screen was in darkness. Despite numerous customers complaining about the issue, Samsung head office maintained that it was normal 'wear and tear' and that we were just 'unlucky'. Even worse, the quote to repair was $754 when the television was $600 brand new. So the learning here, by Samsung's own admission is that their televisions are made to last about 4 years and that their quality is inconsistent. They also reserve the right to charge exorbitant repair costs even though it's at Samsung's authorised repair centre. Last Samsung product for me.

So 4 years is an 'extended period of use' for a television? Thanks for your reply, but typical of Samsung, you haven't offered to assist me. You just admitted that your televisions can fail after a short period.

    rubbish tv

    published

yes this tv was cheap and that's why i was lured into buying it and opt for this one over other brands. now after less than 5 years of moderat usage (2 to 3 hours and even not everyday) the picture has a nasty black strip across the screen and when you call the customer service they tell your tv is out of lifespan to price guarantee so what they say means you shouldn't expect samsung tv to last more than this.

    The worst tv

I’ve had this piece of crap! For 4 years and it’s dead and you call Samsung customer support the are nothing but arrogant and rude! Stay away from all Samsung tvs and stick to LG and under Australian consumer law if the tv is under 10 years and it’s a manufacturing fault they have to fix it or replace it and they didn’t do nothing to fix my problem

    engineered to fail

    published

Like all Samsung product they engineered to have a limited life time. For their tvs, if you are luck 5 years, that is all mine lasted, 5 years on the dot it failed, and it is a TV that is only used once a week, just keeps turning it self off after 5 minutes. Same issue with washing machine, same issue with air conditioner, Mobile phones they don't last more than 3 years. They are kings of the create waste consumerism that is killing our world filling it with waste.

Best to avoid Samsung in general. And their service is 3rd rate. Cheap re branded TVs like Kogan or Palsonic last longer and are less than half the price.

    Great Smart TV

    published

Very good Smart TV with decent speakers and multiple inputs connector.
The Screen color is beautiful and the built in apps choices is very diverse, plus it supports the Samsung SmartView apps on my iPhone.
I bought this from JB HiFi and the price was good at that time for AUD $ 900.

    Rubbish Tv

    published

Had this tv for a week and it stopped working wouldn't power on, had to get it replaced. Then had nothing but trouble with it so called smart apps that would never load and had to reset the smart hub all the time. Now its out of warranty one of the leds has just cooked the screen and will cost over 1K to fix it. Would not buy a Samsung tv again.

A great TV has been very good and not missed a beat I would say that I would of thought some of the colours could be a bit brighter and more defined picture but other than that it has given us hours of entertainement and use watching many DVD.

It also helps with the warraty for peace for mind. Overall I am a satisfied customer

    Not bad

    published

I bought this tv because the price was pretty good compared to other models, i have to say there are so many functions im a little confused and they offical manuel is 222 pages,so much to read!! Sometimes the pixs are blocky but people say thats a antenna issue. The 3d is good for some shows but i find those non 3d dvds not so great but then again im not expecting much. The 3d glasses work well on the tv but i feel the battery gets sucked up pretty quickly. So far so good!!

    Poor technology

    published

Got this TV brand new, and complained about TV taking a long time to load the information on EPG. They got technicians to assess the problem; technician agreed that the EPG loading time is sluggish but said there's nothing wrong with the TV. Therefore, Samsung unable to do anything. I had a Sony TV before and had never encountered such problem. Lately, I noticed freezing on the EPG page, and I had to turn off the TV. Also, the OK button sometimes doesn't respond on smart apps... have to return to previous page and retype then press OK. Not very smart after all. Very disappointed with the purchase. You should be able to purchase a better TV with less money. Avoid Samsung TV at all cost......

    Great for gamers

Bought this TV last week, really good quality. The sharpness of each image is far greater than any of my previous/mates TVs. Would really recommend to anyone in the market for a new TV. It plays Hd movies really well. My Xbox one connects really well. I was playing COD & it was soo realistic I had to send my kid to bed. I flinched many times. Not for the light hearted.

With Samsung tv app on my tab, it can play 1080 p by wifi,, so no hdmi cable needed. I can control on tv remote or tab. Pretty smart tv

Yep have to agree with the above comment. Dead pixels on screen within first 2 months of purchase and the colours whilst watching TV are very cloudy. Not impressed with it to be honest.

    Great TV

    published

It's kind of embarrassing to admit this but I purchased this TV to replace my 15 year old 59cm Panasonic CRT TV!

Great TV, no problems thus far. Easy to set up, guided by on-screen prompts. 4 x HDMI & 3 USB ports.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all.
