Failed at 4 years
Led lenses are falling off leaving white dots the size of a 20 cent coin all over the screen. Contacted Samsung and they state it's normal wear and tear and not willing to assist repair or replace. This was already a replacement t.v. from the previous model that failed. I guess no more buying Samsung.

Avoid Samsung TVs
Television was great but in the forth year, a dark shadow appeared on the screen until the entire bottom half of the screen was in darkness. Despite numerous customers complaining about the issue, Samsung head office maintained that it was normal 'wear and tear' and that we were just 'unlucky'. Even worse, the quote to repair was $754 when the television was $600 brand new. So the learning here, by Samsung's own admission is that their televisions are made to last about 4 years and that their quality is inconsistent. They also reserve the right to charge exorbitant repair costs even though it's at Samsung's authorised repair centre. Last Samsung product for me.

So 4 years is an 'extended period of use' for a television? Thanks for your reply, but typical of Samsung, you haven't offered to assist me. You just admitted that your televisions can fail after a short period.

rubbish tv
yes this tv was cheap and that's why i was lured into buying it and opt for this one over other brands. now after less than 5 years of moderat usage (2 to 3 hours and even not everyday) the picture has a nasty black strip across the screen and when you call the customer service they tell your tv is out of lifespan to price guarantee so what they say means you shouldn't expect samsung tv to last more than this.

The worst tv
I’ve had this piece of crap! For 4 years and it’s dead and you call Samsung customer support the are nothing but arrogant and rude! Stay away from all Samsung tvs and stick to LG and under Australian consumer law if the tv is under 10 years and it’s a manufacturing fault they have to fix it or replace it and they didn’t do nothing to fix my problem

engineered to fail
Like all Samsung product they engineered to have a limited life time. For their tvs, if you are luck 5 years, that is all mine lasted, 5 years on the dot it failed, and it is a TV that is only used once a week, just keeps turning it self off after 5 minutes. Same issue with washing machine, same issue with air conditioner, Mobile phones they don't last more than 3 years. They are kings of the create waste consumerism that is killing our world filling it with waste.
Best to avoid Samsung in general. And their service is 3rd rate. Cheap re branded TVs like Kogan or Palsonic last longer and are less than half the price.

Great Smart TV
Very good Smart TV with decent speakers and multiple inputs connector.
The Screen color is beautiful and the built in apps choices is very diverse, plus it supports the Samsung SmartView apps on my iPhone.
I bought this from JB HiFi and the price was good at that time for AUD $ 900.

Rubbish Tv
Had this tv for a week and it stopped working wouldn't power on, had to get it replaced. Then had nothing but trouble with it so called smart apps that would never load and had to reset the smart hub all the time. Now its out of warranty one of the leds has just cooked the screen and will cost over 1K to fix it. Would not buy a Samsung tv again.

Has been a solid TV
A great TV has been very good and not missed a beat I would say that I would of thought some of the colours could be a bit brighter and more defined picture but other than that it has given us hours of entertainement and use watching many DVD.
It also helps with the warraty for peace for mind. Overall I am a satisfied customer

Not bad
I bought this tv because the price was pretty good compared to other models, i have to say there are so many functions im a little confused and they offical manuel is 222 pages,so much to read!! Sometimes the pixs are blocky but people say thats a antenna issue. The 3d is good for some shows but i find those non 3d dvds not so great but then again im not expecting much. The 3d glasses work well on the tv but i feel the battery gets sucked up pretty quickly. So far so good!!
very energy effiecent rating

So far I like it
I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago and found it amazingly simple to set up. I had downloaded the e-manual from the Samsung site in advance just to have a look at what you got in the TV which was good because the manual in the box is very basic. The e-manual is of course available on the TV - once you know where to look. You can get by without it though I think by just following the prompts.

than 40 inch) because it's for a lounge room in an old federation house and we didn't want the TV to be the dominant feature of the room. We have found the 32inch perfect for this situation. Now we have it I don't really notice its smaller size in comparison to our bigger TV in another room to be honest. I've also been able to record easily to a USB stick (32GB) even though Samsung doesn't recommend this - they prefer an external hard drive in excess of 5400rpm. Our wifi doesn't work that well with the TV since we have lots of brick walls in between it and our router, but the internet connection works perfectly now we've connected it via an ethernet cable. We really only use the internet to access iView and SBSon demand etc. The TV is 3D but we haven't tried that yet and would have been happy to buy one without 3D. All in all, very happy. Inexpensive, great picture, able to record to a USB stick (32gb), the central swivel stand Nothing so far.1 comment

ne as our 40 inch Sony Bravia which is in our family room. The picture is different. I think the picture on the Samsung is sharper with more vivid colours but I could also change the settings on the Sony to reflect this but I'm happy with it as it is. We have had the TV wired directly to our router as the wifi was somewhat haphazard due to all our brick walls. Our internet reception has been perfect since then. We were thinking about buying a PVR to record shows but we find that most of the time we can find something we've missed first time round on the ABC iView or SBS on Demand etc. I didn't think I needed a Smart TV. I WAS WRONG. I wouldn't be without it now.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Poor technology
Got this TV brand new, and complained about TV taking a long time to load the information on EPG. They got technicians to assess the problem; technician agreed that the EPG loading time is sluggish but said there's nothing wrong with the TV. Therefore, Samsung unable to do anything. I had a Sony TV before and had never encountered such problem. Lately, I noticed freezing on the EPG page, and I had to turn off the TV. Also, the OK button sometimes doesn't respond on smart apps... have to return to previous page and retype then press OK. Not very smart after all. Very disappointed with the purchase. You should be able to purchase a better TV with less money. Avoid Samsung TV at all cost......

Great for gamers
Bought this TV last week, really good quality. The sharpness of each image is far greater than any of my previous/mates TVs. Would really recommend to anyone in the market for a new TV. It plays Hd movies really well. My Xbox one connects really well. I was playing COD & it was soo realistic I had to send my kid to bed. I flinched many times. Not for the light hearted.

amazingly cheap monitor in my bed room
Got this 3d tv from jbhifi last boxing day for $640, no complaint. I planned to use it as external monitor for my hp dv6 laptop side by side, for gaming, web browsing, photo editing, watching movies. It supports game mode at 30 ms lag only, its perfect if you dont have animal like reflex. Highly recommended for this price point. I didn't choose lg 42 3d tv at $590. Dont like passive 3d tv for only 540p resolution only. Waiting for true 1080 p 3d tv but i watch avatar 2009 and some imax deep sea stuff only.

BEWARE
I purchased this tv from Harvey Norman. Before i purchased it i wanted to be sure if the resolution will change or effect when i connect HDMI cable from pc to the tv. The sales assistance told me that it would be all good. Came home with it and connected it straight to my pc which was the main reasson i purchased it. The screen was blurry and the writing, tv isnt good as well even on dynamic mode,i tried playing a game found lots of lagging and not strong enough. The resolution not exactly 1920x1080. 00. When i took it back to Harvey Norman they told me not to use it on this resolution but on 1600x900. I brought this tv for it being full HD and for its resolution and the fact that they told me it will be all good. Even though they gave me the wrong info i ended up leavıng -$90 just because the box had been opened. So be aware us as consumers dont have the right to use reasons like didnt like performance or doesnt do what you told me it does etc. The big company Samsung and Harvey Norman won again. nothing wrong information doesnt give me the full HD as the brag about.2 comments

Great TV
It's kind of embarrassing to admit this but I purchased this TV to replace my 15 year old 59cm Panasonic CRT TV!
Great TV, no problems thus far. Easy to set up, guided by on-screen prompts. 4 x HDMI & 3 USB ports.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all.
Easy to set up
Nothing
