Not a SMART Tv
I had issue with tv when a wifi adapter was connected, free to air channels showed jerky imags. I reported tosamsung and had 2 tech out. 2nd tech changed the main board as he saw problem with it. The problem was still with the tv. after much of troubleshotting, i decided not to use the wifi and internet on tv. 3
months back i decided to use the internet again on tv and can see the issue still happening. I decided not to call samsung and connected a std network cable to the tv.
I can see the internet still running slow on the tv. so i cal...Read more
led samsung again and was told issue with modem and ISP. I said that i have connected a laptop at same point and see speed of over 14MBps and on tv 2-4mbps.they said tha tissue with modem and ISP . I changed my ISP and modem to a different one and still had issue. Today i called agian and a consultant said issue with the tv and a tech need to come out. He said that fee for the tech will apply as the tv is not under warranty. I said the issue is with tv and started in initial warranty period. When i said that I also have an extended warranty he said me to contact to the extended warranty provider. He assured that a samsung tech will come out even when reported to extended warranty. I called extended warranty provide and was refer to a different repairer I don't want a non samsung tech to check at the tv as the issue was within initial warranty period and want samsung to look into I spoke to extended warranty repairer again, I was told that as the issue was previously dealt with Samsung they will not be able to see what happened in the past andSimilar opinion? Wow wow wow!
Samsung sure got their act together with this TV
If your like me and go into a TV store you stand there just scratching your head too many makes models sizes
Its frustrating, lucky for me I have my very own TV techie my Hubby.
We have looked at and had numerous TV’s and this is the one Hubby states as the best.
It has all the technical requirements needed to run and display HD/3D pictures with excellent clarity and picture quality via normal free to air, cable and internet TV

The 3D side of it is magical, although it does take a while to get use to the vision and glasses ( which can be a bit expensive) but a great viewing exprience. Plenty of in/output plugs for dvd’s, set top boxes, Stereo and gaming which we currently have running on this TV without dramas. Very lightweight and movable great for us ladies when cleaning days come around. Soooo Easy to tune in and an uncomplicated remote often the remotes are so out there with 100 buttons, and people that like to press them all. WARNING: Dont forget to buy your HDMI leads, so many clients get their TV’S but don’t have the right leads !!!! All in all you get great value for money in a market full of choices !!!!!! Multiple Inputs, Lightweight, Easy to Use, Quality Construction, Simple Setup, Great Design

Bad
I won't by another Samsung product ever again. I just hope I can work out something with Samsung regarding my faulty TV.
I have to admit that the Samsung Tv's have the best picture.
We purchased a Samsung series 7 LED in December 2010. After 25 days the TV already has a faulty screen. ( Vertical blue line in the middle). Samsung customer service is very unhelpful, very disappointed with them. They do not take responsibility for their own product.

Can't Fault it
Almost 10 months old, and touch wood no issues at all.
Best picture in shop and my set just the same.
Followed advice to run in the set with reduced brightness for 100 hours, and no "burn in" issues to report.
Speaker sound with the rear facing speakers is poor but I run through a stereo amp system.
Also perfer to run the picture and sound from my Strong HD set top box, on 1080i setting. It makes the SD stations a little better to watch.
The Samsung remote is clumsy to operate.
The 3D I do not care about,(and wearing 3D glasses over prescription glasses doesn't work) and the internet is too fidley to use via the remote control.
The QWERTY keyboard seems to be the way to go, but it wasn't around when I bought.

Excellent
We bought this TV a month ago and I just thought I'd write a review as I'm so impressed with it, we like Samsung as our last one lasted years and was still going strong, however it was a bit big and bulky and behind on technology so we upgraded. For someone who is not all that "techy" I think its really amazing to watch movies in 3D, I just have to get a second set of glasses so my hubby and I can watch it together!
It has a very realistic and clear screen. Very slimline, flat screen. Comes with the glasses to watch 3D. Was a great value compared to everything else at the shop.
Nothing yet.

Terrible
My last plasma tv was an NEC(42")- it ran flawlessly for 5 years and is still running strong, why oh why did I blow my dough!!!!
Great image quality, great looks, great 3D.
The series 7 58" panel broke within 4 weeks of purchase - It's now been over 2 weeks and I'm stil waiting for Samsung to fix the TV - they are waiting for a replacement panel. Seriously after paying $2300 I would have hoped for a year of trouble free use...but 4 weeks and to not even offer an exchange, pathetic - never again will I buy Samsung rubbish!

Bad
The television looks great on the outside however looking deeper it has some fundamental flaws. The two biggest ones which are deal breakers for me is that it buzzes louder than any other plasma television around. I have called Samsung many times about this and been told that they won't replace the screen. If you are sensitive to buzzing avoid this television at all costs.
Another problem with it is that it sufferes from the worst image retention I have seen on any television. A bright image only has to be displayed for less than one minute ...Read more
and it will leave a shadow for the next half an hour. The quality of the image is fantastic with beautiful colours however that is not good enough for me to give it s positive review overall. Fantastic image quality. Inbuilt media player. Great menu system. Prone to noisy buzzing which Samsung won't fix. Prone to image retention.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
