What are the dimensions mainly depth please
2 answers
Hello...approx 1670mm wide x 955mm high x 65-70mm depth at deepest point (mid section)...the depth of the casing has allowed fitment of sub woofer and speakers to deliver very good sound..fits easily to a wall mounting bracket (definitely 2 person lift because of the sheer size of the thing)

Can i put this outside in an alfresco room on a wall where it is fully protected from direct sun and rain?
To watch NBA basketball

Not recommended to put std tv outside..condensation and dust will kill it..i think you can buy ip rated outdoor rated enclosures..i leave an lcd tv in my outdoor area in a purpose built box but only over summer months..outside if not covered in you will likely get condensation which can kill the tv.
Thank you for that
No problem...i did a search on the net.there are enclosures available...they want you to make a pricing enquiry..the cabinets are ip56 or higher, theft proof, cooling fans etc, surge protection, input cables etc...one site had pricing and it was about $2400 for an enclosure for a 65 inch tv..they are not going to be cheap option but if you want to have tv outdoor for a lot of viewing then maybe justifiable.

Is a QA55R750 better than a RU8000 as they are the same price and both Samsung? I’m about to upgrade

Hi Anushka, we recommend the QA55Q75RAWXXY. With a QLED screen, it displays dark, defined black levels so you view the important details and it has improved levels of brightness and contrast so you see detail in virtually any light.

Thank you. I have purchased this 55 inch you recommended over the RU8000.
Can’t wait for the Q75 to arrive.

How reasonable is the sound? Don't want a sound bar (may aswell buy a Sony with active panel) or external speakers.

Hi Jurek,
Sound is subjective, its good for me and my family though. Good upgrade from my Samsung Series 6 2014 model. I have watched couple of movies and miss the deep bass but for most applications, its good.
I have a big open living where this tv is and it holds itself decently.
Cheers,

It definitely is tough to give an objective view on a TV's sound quality, Jurek. We recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised retailer to personally check out the sound quality of our TV models that are on display :)

Late answer but for anyone contemplating the 75 inch Qled, in home the sound is very good - it has a deep cabinet and lends itself to a sub woofer and multiple speakers - I hardly ever need to put the sound bar on with this TV.
