didn't last long
my Top Load 7.5kg Washing Capacity (SW75USP) it stopped taking cold water in after 3 years (got it in Sep. 2008) and had it repaired with a new panel ($300+). Now the same problem has happen again (1 ½ years later) not worth fixing again, thinks I'm getting a front loader this time. This machine only lasted 4 ½ years. Saying that I’ve been happy with its washing performance.

Never buying a Samsung product again!
I have the Samsung washing machine model SW75USP and it is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. I the second year of owning the machine black mould flakes would end up all over our clothes. Samsung reluctantly came to clean the machine and tried to say we wee the problem for using fabric softener! Why would we ever buy a machine where fabric softener couldn't be used! In the third year of owning it the problem arose again, Samsung came to clean the machine and again tried to blame us. The problem has happened again (twice in the same ye...Read more
ar) and the rule with Samsung is that once the problem happens 3 times they replace the machine. Only catch is they don't care what happened in the manufacturers warranty when we are using extended warranty. The repair mob that samsung use in brisbane are incompetent and actually made the machine worse (water was black) and have now broken parts of the machine (currently waiting on approval from extended warranty). Samsung are trying every which way to get out of being liable for this heap of s$@t machine! I own several Samsung items, however I will NEVER buy Samsung again! Very sneaky warranty rules, continuous problem with mould, poor Samsung repairmen, poor customer serviceSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent
An excellent machine that represents value for money compared to equivalent size machines of other brands. I especially like the fact that there are no agitator fins to accidentally tear clothes. Also the fact that the circuitboard is embedded in a protective gel. This would eliminate moisture corrosion problems of the circuitry. The machine also appears to take up less space than other equivalent 7.5kg wash machines. This is perhaps because it doesn't need the space taken up by the agitator in other washing machines. Hihly recommended as value...Read more
for money Samsung SW75USP washing machine. We have owned and operated this machine daily (sometimes 3 to 4 washes)since 17/1/10. The first thing I did when we bought it was to open up and check the circuit board. (Our previous machine was a Fisher and Paykel 7.5kg machine. The main circuitboard as well as one underneath the machine suffered from corrosion on the F&P). I intended to spray the circuit board on the new Samsung with circuit board varnish to help protect it from corrosion. I was plesantly suprised in opening up the Samsung. The whole circuitboard is encased in a gel like subtance about 10mm thick. There is no way moisture, salt air or water will be able to corrode any circuits. This is definitely a plus as far as I am concerned. The other plus for the Samsung washing machine compared to our previous F&P is that it does not have an agitator with fins. The F&P would occasionally leave a slash in a towel if it got trapped around/under? one of the agitator fins. No agitator in the Samsung means more space for clothes in the washing machine tub as well. The Samsung washes the clothes clean and also has a lint filter that efficiently traps lint during the wash. You are also able to view the progress of you wash through a clear plastic section of the lid. There are enough programs to suit the type of wash you need to do as well as enabling you to manually select water levels if you don't want fully automatic selection. The washing machine lid is a cocertina affair but this has not given us any trouble to date. In fact it has the advantage of not having to lift a lid right up.The machine plays a tune when the wash has finished to remind you that it's time to get the clothes out. The lint filter light comes on nearly after every wash but the lint filter isn't necessarily full or even half full. However, you end up checking just incase. The lint filter is all plastic and hinged at one end. I'm not sure how long the plastic hinging will last with constant opening after nearly every wash. I suppose if it does eventually break a replacement should not be too expensive. The washing detergent/powder receptacle is a slide out plastic tray. It is a bit clumbsy in that it can get out of square if you don't pull it out evenly. It also tends to stick on ocassion when it is pulled out unevenly. It seems a bit flimsy but has not broken or cracked after 12mths of solid use.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi ol mate.
In the whole time ive had the machine iv'e never had any black crud anywhere inside the bowl, nor the rubber that surrounds the top of stainless bowl. Iv'e been lucky as it's always had tank/rain water in it n i use only liquid detergent.
So am.sorry, but i wouldnt even know what this black stuff looks like. Sounds like a mould.
Use cap of bleach & cup white vinigar once a month on a sanitation cycle.
Good luck with it.
My still going strong. (1 load per week)
