Out machine died on Saturday, Lasted 16 years, never skipped a beat in that time, and it was certainly used and abused. The lid rusted a bit(normal fault) but didn't affect performance. in the end the bottom bearing wore out, can't complain about that. 16 years is good enough to make me buy another Samsung, hopefully my new one is as good.!!

I've owned so many washing machines but this one is now in its 7th year. Yes the lid is rusty - this is obviously a fault - but it is faultless - its happy when its finished - it saves water - it washes the clothes and the lint filter actually works so well that the cat hair from our four cats is removed from everything we wash. Well done Samsung - we want these tough machines - no namby pamby fall apart machines needed in the country side - something like this that will last and last. btw I'm going to get a replacement lid

Yes, the lids obviously must've suffered in the painting process. My second-hand machine had a rusty lid but I took it into a paint-shop and got them to sand-blast it and repaint. Cost was $30. Looks like new!

This machine washes 6 sets of mechanics dirty clothes plus the normal household laundry, washes my joggers well, floor mats and sheepskin seat covers from my car are handled no problem.Apart from the paint coming off the lid edges (which was likely caused by the odd coin or nut, bolt, washer or screws left in my pockets)this machine has not let us down, maybe I was lucky and got a good one.
The best machine I have ever had, easy to use, reliable, water saving
A bit noisy,a plastic lid would have been better than the steel one which has started to rust after 5 yrs work

rough on clothes used on heavy wash that is, towels and other normal washing items. Good lint filter though i would like it to be easier to take out bowl and get stray lint underneath
    attractive, water efficient

I would not recomend this washing machine to anyone, its faulty and Samsung customer dont care when you ring up, they lie and deny calls back, WILL NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG WHITE GOODS EVER AGIN....DONT BUY THIS LEMON !
    it looks nice thats it!
it marks all the dark clothes, with white streaks and they dont come out, even with hot water, its the most useless piece of rubbish they have ever made.
