Nice tv when it worked. One day the screen went black and it was the end of a good thing. You pay good money and after the warranty goes so does their TV’s . Trust is a must and many Samsung customers I have met say they won’t buy their TVs again. They have a known history of letting their customers down over the past decade now & their products have Not stood the test of time . Doubt I would buy their products again. And I’m not just talking about TVs either. Our Samsung washing machine has a known fault to catch fire. Go figure

Six and a half years of life
I have enjoyed this TV in every way but when you spend a fair amount of money you expect a fair amount of value. Just over 6 years old and a fine white line appears across the centre of the screen and then the bottom half of the picture ghosts into the top half.
After 10 years maybe acceptable but not now.
I have decided to never go Samsung again but will try LG this time as my front program washing machine is still working after 17 years and it’s an LG.

Samsung Never again.
This Television company decided to longer support YouTube or Netflix apps after years of running them for which I bought the TV for. Scam to get you to buy a set top box for your smart TV or to buy a new one. Lol Smart TV No! . Stick with Sony way better. The same year Sony TV's still support their apps. Will never buy a Samsung again. First and last.

Not Happy!
Bought this TV, and after 3 years it started to flicker. Now it turns off and turns back on automatically. To get this fixed it was going to cost me more than i purchased it, so we just use it as a spare tv now. Lucky for Foxtel and rewind, or else we would miss crucial action on tv every time it decides to turn on and off! For a named brand i was left disappointed.

Nice TV but very common to fail just after years...
Bought this TV and it was a middle of the range smart tv...3D and most of the bells and whistles.
Worked fine good picture etc etc.
Then at 3 years and 1 month..... white horizontal lines just appeared across the screen one day...and stayed !!
The result was toooo expensive to fix.
Now if I paid peanuts for a no name brand I'd be happy if it lasted 3 years BUT to pay $1600 +
3 years is not good enough for a supposedly high quality item.
After doing a little research I find this fault ?? is very common with Samsung televisions.
No where near good enough Samsung.
IF you a set on buying a Samsung GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY chances are you'll need it.

Love it!
We love our new TV, the picture and the sound are great! Like the review below, I was concerned you wouldn't be able to see from all angles either, but you can. The Good Guys were so lovely and i'm glad they recommended this model as we love it! Our friends have also bought one and are also happy with theirs too.
Reliable, looks good, energy efficient

Absolutely love it!
I bought this TV early in the new year, and have been extremely impressed with it's performance. I was concerned being an LED TV that the picture clarity would not be good from all angles and in all conditions (light/ dark) but have not had a problem. It doesn't matter where you sit in the room, or what time of day, the TV is a pleasure to watch. For one of the New generation TV's, the sound is also good. We only recently attached surround sound, which I was expecting to have to do straight away. What I most like, is that the TV is more economi...Read more
cal to run than my previous model, so we have bigger picture, better sound for less power consumption. Best of all,t he screen doesn't collect dust either, so it's good to go, all the time with very little fuss. Brilliant! Nice, big clear picture from any angle, energy efficient, doesn't collect dust. Compact design takes up little space, able to attach a flash drive, plenty of space for several HDMI cables as well as the "old fashioned" kind of cables to hook in to. Slow to load the "what's on" function, has to be put together yourself (although this is not difficult once you take the time to get your head around the instructions), sometimes takes a while to disconnect the sound coming out of the TV speakers (I run through the surround sound system) and this causes a ghosting in the sound.Kids want to watch it all the time!!!Similar opinion? Can't be beaten at this price range
I was thinking about getting a Panasonic 40" new IPS panel LED TV. I browsed around couple of stores in town and finally got the Samsung 40" UA40D6000 with 3D instead for just $1080 with 3 years on site warranty which is a stunning deal.
At this price you can't get anything better than this. TV comes with a pair of 3D glasses, even cleaning cloth. Connectivity is never a problem. Xbox, Bluray, PC... you name it. This panel is faster than my 24" Acer monitor! Picture quality is stunning with 1080p source. Hooked up with Panasonic BD player to...Read more
play Avatar to show off some colors! Black level definitely improved a lot from previous generation with adjustment for black tone and shadow details. A small problem of backlight leak at top corners however it's a common problem for LED edge lit TV. Motion lighting function is not working quite well which sometimes creates artifacts when playing fast motion especially DTV channels. Downside is the remote. It's not backlited and looks really ugly. I have an iPhone and an android tablet so I can use the remote app instead of it. Stand mount is a concern as well since it's plastic. Youtube app is a bit annoying because you can't browse what you search. It will just start playing whatever search result right after you hit the search button. Overall this TV is worth your every hard earned penny! Bang for bucks, picture quality, connectivity, Out look slight backlight leak at top corners, Remote is not backlit and looks ugly, Motion lighting function is not working quite well, stand mount is makd of plasticSimilar opinion? Nice panel, terrible remote
Nice panel, TV looks good. User experience is not very good. Menus are messy and slow to navigate. Guide is sluggish and steals the tuner - not sure why a second tuner isn't standard, but I'll give it a pass since this is par for the course. Inexcusable though is the remote, second only in crumminess to the one I got with a $10 DVD player and a big step back from our previous Samsung TV. Remote looks and feels cheap, has a plain grid layout, buttons are hard to find by touch, range is so-so. Basically, sours the whole experience. No wonder the...Read more
sales folks at the store had "misplaced it" when I asked to try it. I wish I had switched to Sony - my sister's similar priced TV also has a fine looking panel and the nicest TV remote I've ever used. Panel is bright, looks good. Horrible remote, warranty only 1 year1 comment

which turned up a page on on Samsung's site that said all 2011 Smart TV's supported it. That is not true. Smart TV features that are supported on this TV are extraordinarily slow - possibly the slowest internet connected device ever.
