We purchased a scandia edge 70 July 2018 and it Omits excessive smoke when opening the door, scandia wasn't very helpful in resolving the issues & warranty, the door to flue ratio is incorrect don't buy it's hazardous

Excess smoke and Ash
Bought a Scandia Edge 70 last winter 2018, and could use for the full winter. Upon opening the door to add wood to heater, excess smoke and ash would pour out and fill our house with soot. Also welds on the rails that the baffle plate sit on broke.

can I install a hot water jacket with the EDGE 70 ?
We noticed the top vermiculite at the top of the wood heater is cracked and a bit is hanging down. Can we still use it? Should we remove the top vermiculite before lighting it? Is it common for it to crack?

Ours also cracked and broke, we had it replaced under warranty.
If you remove it, the flames will go up the flue
