Great headphones, great sound, comfy and reasonable priced.
I bought these headphones to listen to music without bothering my housemates and co-workers. I purchased these for $100 which is an amazing deal, you could easily pay twice that for this quality.
The headband and earphones and well padded and comfy to wear, they don't squish my ears at all. The design is nice and understated.
The downsides to this model are that you cannot listen when the headphones are charging with sucks if you forget to plug them in. However, this is acceptable at this price point.
Most importantly the sound qua...Read more
lity from these is quite good, well balanced and a good volume. As you would expect from Sennheiser. You can find better of course but for the price, I think these punch above their weight. I found these work at a good distance from the transmitter, I can keep them on and the signal remains clear anywhere in my house, even outside through several walls/windows, which was unexpectedly pleasing. I definitely recommend this model.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Two heads are as good as one, Audio
These headphones are excellent, I sit back and watch the movie using my head phones with separately adjustable volume and my wife can use the TV or stereo speakers to listen to it with adjustable volume . my hearing is no so good so it all works perfectly, especially background noises or when the scenes suddenly change from bullets and bombs to a faint whisper .Super happy . only downside the ear muffs wear a bit .

Amazing sound quality. Nice look and comfortable feel.
Premium sound for a premium price, it offers strong wired performance.
On to noise-canceling. I think the noise-canceling is quite impressive. Somewhat pricey.
The sound is richer, more vibrant; it is also more comfortable, being lighter, and the earpads actually feel good when placed on the head.
It is more comfortable than others brand like sony, Sennheiser is probably better built but a little bit more heavier.

Great sound quality
I use these headphones on my PC. The sound is CD quality, and the wireless is RF, meaning it will go through walls and has a great range. I had a couple of problems with mine: the plastic ear covers deteriorated (I initially wondered where all those black bits stuck to the side of my head were coming from), but this was easily fixed by ordering a set of felt covers from the manufacturer (they're MUCH better than the originally supplied ones), and the "Y" cable used to charge the headphones (from the transmitter) became faulty (probably due to t...Read more
he plugging/unplugging cycles to charge the headphones). Again, ordering a replacement from the manufacturer was simple. Volume and quality are excellent, but as always this is dependent on the source.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic especially for the older generation
Bought these after checking reviews, checking prices online then went to my favourite store where they were $100 dearer. Once told I could get them cheaper they matched the price. Why did I buy them? Well I actually needed them for the TV. Aussie shows are fine but when I listen to most of my favourite USA series their voices are usually muffled and fast talking and I usually miss 1/2 what they are saying. This is because as one gets older it is hard to block out background noise and we take longer to process speech. So, great for only older people and with this brand I have clear speech without any interruption at all. Easy to use, easy to charge and comfortable on the ears.

Best wireless for under $200
4 and a half stars. The sound from the RS160 is very clear. Only issue with sound quality is that higher frequencies are harsh. Bass is also a tiny bit lacking I guess. Mind you, compared to the last pair of $100 Philips wireless I had, these are superior bass wise as well as in every other respect. The Kleer transmission technology is definitely an improvement from traditional RF technology - there is no hiss at all in the background, just clean, clear audio.
These do not need line of sight, I listen to them on the other side of concrete wa...Read more
lls. Shop around as these are still overpriced at most places (e.g HN, JB Hifi, Dick Smith etc.) Don't pay over $200 for them. You can find them for $100 on Catch of the Day every now and then (local stock, full 2 year Australian Sennheiser warranty.) If not check eBay and staticice, you should find them for $120-150 delivered. The RS170 are also available from grey importers for ~$170 delivered which give a bit more bass and a bit more wireless range. I'm no audio expert but the experts say these are great and I agree with them. They're not perfect but for just over $100 they are the best thing out there if you need wireless. They are a few years old now, but this is a good thing. Technology hasn't changed over that time so you aren't missing out on anything and they have proven themselves as reliable which you can never be sure of with brand new products on the market. They come with Eneloop rechargable batteries (best rechargable batteries out there.) Very good battery life. Reasonably comfortable. High quality feel. Highs are harsh. Cables could be longer. A bit more bass would be good.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Wireless Headphones
These headphones are a good wireless setup without being professional. They are powered by two AAA batteries, one in each ear piece, and if there is any weakness is that's the battery life is measured in days. However, you can put rechargeable batteries in there and connect the power adapter to the headphones, allowing the batteries to recharge. Downside is the power adapter is the same one used for the transmitter unit, which takes two AA batteries.

designed as a Bluetooth alternative to allow clear listening. My impression is that the sound quality is exceptional for wireless headphones, and very good even when compared with regular headphones. They also keep out external sounds very well. They are comfortable and easily adjustable. There are small volume switches on one headpiece, but I found them too small for my fingers and ended up using the television's volume control. Still, once set up, which is straightforward, you can just settle back and listen. If I had any concerns, it was taking the padding off each earpiece to replace the batteries. If you are using regular batteries that need replacing, I can see the plastic here snapping... probably another reason to use the rechargeable batteries. I bought these for $240, and they were discounted from $399, and have been well pleased with the result. Definitely recommended. Comfortable. Good sound quality. Needs line of sight. Goes through headpiece batteries.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

i have a problem in adjusting the volume in the ear phones. There is little difference if I adjust in the earphone - all stays very soft and i don't know how to turn it up louder. Any advice welcomed. Thanks

Hi. I've found mine to be adequate in terms of volume range, but fiddly for my fingers. We've found it better to adjust the volume of the tv or portable DVD. If that's not fixing it for you it could be a problem with the headphones.

Are these headphones infrared?
1 answer
No. It's a short range wireless system, so doesn't have to be line of sight. Works well across a room.
As an aside, the headphones are still going strong. A good buy.
