Hi
Our Smeg sfpa7395x2 screen has gone blank so unable to use oven at all. It’s not very old as the plastic wrap was still on it after we moved in here - the seller of the property just renovated the kitchen before we bought the place a few months ago. I don’t have any paperwork unfortunately. We turned the power of to it hoping to reset it to no avail.

Every time I have my oven on (fan forced) for over 30/40 mins, it locks itself and turns off. I am trying to cook meat for 3+ hours, and after 40 mins the light turned green, and it then turned off. Have I changed a setting somehow, and how can I stop it from dropping heat?

Give customer service a call as I found them really helpful. I did have numerous issues with my Smeg Oven though so if it persists I would be asking for an exchange or refund

If you have had the oven a while I'll presume you have been cleaning the oven shield that slides in above the top grill element so not much fat there, and the pyrolytic cleaning cycle works ring SMEG for advice; and especially if it is a new oven give SMEG a ring; they are helpful. It sounds like it is overheating and going into a safety mode or the temperature control is faulty, but one would expect an error code if that was the case. It is probably a warranty / repair call. It is good if you can reliably reproduce the problem when a service tech is there or they work blind and may be disinclined to just replace parts they cannot see as being faulty. If it is a new oven be prepared to ask for a replacement unit. Getting your money back may not be gratifying because what else do you buy that is also 70cm wide, unless your cabinet will hold a 75cm unit?

Sparks with an error code? Have you thought about turning it off at the breaker/switch for safety and calling SMEG support when they reopen?

Not too sure, I reckon its a faulty fan unit but would ring Smeg customer service direct they are usually very helpful.
