Decent affordable dryer
I bought this dryer almost 2 years ago, and I am very satisfied with my purchase, it was affordable at $600 from goodguys, it's also a condensed dryer so it won't steam up the laundry walls. I would still suggest to open the back door in the laundry because the dryer heats up the room. I put all my clothes and towels and bed covers in the dryer and they all dry well. I love how it takes off all the lint and pet hair and leaves everything looking fresh and new. There are many different settings, from quick dry to mix and it also has a memory set...
Read moreting where you set a personalised setting and it will remember it so you dont have to redo it everytime you go to dry. It also has a anti crease function. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is putting any delicate clothing in the dryer, as I've seen some small holes in a couple of my tops, so I just leave delicate clothing out to dry on the clothing rack.
Purchased in at Goodguys for $600.

Perfect compact dryer
I must admit I was a little hesitant buying a small dryer, but I don't have room for a full size version. But this compact unit exceeds my expectations. It might not have all the bells and whistles, but who really needs them drying clothes! The unit is surprisingly quiet (mine is wall mounted) and always dries my laundry perfectly and in a much shorter time than expected given the wattage. Having had the "big brands" in the past, which generally always disappointed me, I have only praise for this dryer. Going strong for almost two years now.
Purchased in for $245.

Perfect size
This dryer fits on the wall above the washing machine in my small laundry very well. It holds 4.5kg of clothes and dries them perfectly. Good range of settings for the variety of fabrics I need to dry. Relatively quiet for a wall installed dryer.=, it could also be a free standing if a laundry has space. Good value price too.

Questions & Answers
Using my Solt dryer for the first time and the drum isn't spinning. Is that normal? Does it only spin on certain cycles or after a certain amount of time?
Hi Richard, no, this is not normal. The drum should be spinning immediately after you close the door, select the drying time and press the start button. As the dryer does not have any lights, I'd sugg...
Read moreest you test your power point with another appliance or phone charger etc. If ok, the dryer may be faulty. Are exhaust filter replacement items available for his dryer. If so where from? Thanks
If you are referring to the lint filter, the large one inside the dryer, not sure. You probably need to contact the manufacturer as it is a lifetime part. As for the small filter that sits at the fron...
Read moret of the dryer, any cloth filter will do, just cut to size. You'll often find them for free in vacuum cleaner bag boxes. A hardware store will also have them, but like I said, you will have to cut it to fit the grille. Thanks Joey. The Solt dryer has both a lint filter and also a circular exhaust filter which is the same diameter as the lint filter and has a hole in the centre and fits in line with the lint filter.
Do these dryers rotate both ways when drying? I.e it goes clockwise for a while then back the other way after a few mins? I've heard thats vital to look for when buying a new dryer like i am but it seems not many do it.
No, this dryer rotates clockwise only. I have previously owned dryers that rotate both ways, but to be honest I cannot tell the difference. In this wet weather, I have been using the Solt extensively ...
Read moreand load it up quite a bit, and the drying performance is always excellent. It generally dries everything in around 90min, even towels. Having said that, my washing machine spins at 1400rpm, so clothes come out quite dry to start with. I am glad it doesn't have all the gimmicks the big brands have, stuff you really don't need but end up paying for. Like with all dryers, cleaning the filter after each load is key to good performance.Awesome thanks so much for that. it sounds like exactly what im after and if you cant notice a difference then even better. thanks for replying i really appreciate it :D
