Not bad when purchased at half price
This is a very neat, compact sound bar which packs quite a punch. It is very basic, has very few features that the user can control and best of all it will fit easily into small spaces. The wireless subwoofer works well and can be placed either under a lounge or away from the sound bar itself to give a fuller sound experience.
If you are looking to just upgrade the sound from your TV it does a good job in providing nice rich, clear, sound with very little distortion even at high volume levels (and it is pretty loud!).

e unit - in day-to-day television movie watching I do not notice any surround sound simulation which the ATMOS Dolby feature is meant to produce. It is possible that this feature just doesn't work with TV transmission. In some of the action movies I have watched it does manage to achieve a fuller and better sound but it doesn't really compare with some of the other sound bars that are in the same price range if this is purchased for regular RRP of $449. It was extremely simple to set up. It can also be used as quite a good (and loud) bluetooth speaker and when used as bluetooth speaker you get to appreciate the bass notes coming through the subwoofer. Even at full subwoofer volume I often feel that the bass could be pumped up a little more. The only significant disappointment is that it does not have a HDMI ARC input which means that it will not integrate with even the latest SONY TV. You connect it through the optical cable supplied and then need to adjust the volume via its own remote whilst muting your TV volume. If you do not mute the TV the 2 sound sources are slightly out of sync. Once set up it works quite well but I find it annoying that it adds yet another remote to your lounge room. If you are looking for cinema quality sound you won't get this out of the MT300. You will however significantly improve the sound from your flatscreen TV and if you can get this soundbar for less than RRP it is worth considering.Similar opinion?
