They work ok

published

These are hard wired non-bluetooth headsets as you can see. I like the fact they come with aircraft sound input converter plugs. Now without fitting a battery, these things are useless. The battery acts the system to cancel out sound but also amplifies the sound input from phone or PC. This means you dont need to run the sound at 100% levels. The noise cancellation is not absolute but it is just right. My only issue with them is the fragile nature of the cable and plug which should be more robust in construction. They should have made the lead and plug thicker to deal with tension stresses. This means you have to handle them with kid gloves. Other than that, all good

Amazing sound quality at a great price.

published

Being on a budget which didn't stretch to Bose headphones I went for the Sony noise cancelling set which were at an amazingly affordable price. The quality and sound are exceptional and would recommend them to anyone. The comfort is first rate an fold up neatly for storage. A real bargain.

Perfect for my needs

published

These headphones have been perfect for my needs and at a very reasonable price-point. I only use them occasionally at home or during travel attached to either my phone or laptop when I don't want to disturb people near me. The sound quality is very good. They feel like good quality. They have never given me technical issues. Overall a good purchase.

Would recommend, could have better build quality

published

For the rrp, these headphones are actually pretty good! Bass content is great and the treble holds up very well.
Also it is worth stating that the noise cancelling works well considering the cushioning of the headphones. All in all would recommend these headphones especially for the great RRP. 4/5

Not bad, good value for money

published

This item is reasonably designed. It does its noise cancellation but the headset size is a bit small and doesn't cover my ears. One will feel uncomfortable if used over a long period of time. Definitely a good buy if you have a tight budget, else get a more expensive one with bigger headphone size for more comfort, especially if you use it for a long time.

Great Product

published

I have bought this earphone since two years ago. The quality is really amazing compared to its' price. Other than that, this earphone comes with good sound quality with noise cancellation. Also, this headphone is very light and it can be carried easily to anywhere. I would recommend this product and you will not regret.

Good Buy

published

Sony MDRX110NC is a really solid buy. But if you are looking for a headset that truly cancels all noise, you are going to be disappointed with this purchase.

Pros:
-They work well at reducing airplane engine noise (the reason I bought them.)
-Compact due to their folding design.
-On ear design, which work very well if you wear glasses.
-Price, price, price.

Cons:
-Do not have the best sound, so if you're looking for Bose like quality, stop here.
-I found the cord length a tad short, but certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

Super

My husband bought these for some long haul flights. He said they were great at reducing cabin noise. Lightweight and very comfortable to wear even for long periods of time (1 flight was nearly 14 hours). He won't travel without them now. He was lucky to get them on sale a few weeks before he left Australia.

Great set of headphones

published

these headphones have good sound quality. you can really tell the difference with the noise cancelling option is used. a little on the bulky size and could use a little more crisp sound waves, but for the price it is very good. in comparison to the "Dre Beats", the durability is great, but sound quality overall Dre Beats definitely holds an edge over sony.

Good solid headset

published

These headsets were bought for our 12 year old who goes through a pair about every 2 to 3 months. They were purchased in September and are still going well. The sound quality is great and they are very well made as evidenced by the fact they have lasted longer than any other pair our 12 year old has had.

Good sound Quality, but noise cancelling isn't that amazing.

published

The sound quality from these headphones is good, however the noise cancelling is almost a gimmick. They do cut down on the trains engine noise. However it is not as good as some more expensive pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones.

At first the build quality of these headphones seemed a little sketchy. However they have lasted about 4 months, with plenty of abuse.

Nice headset

published

comfortable ear pads. No padding on headband, but I wear a hat on planes so no issue for me. Blocks about 40-50% of sounds, but not super loud or high-frequency sounds. I did alot of research on NC headphones, and for $30 these were the perfect purchase. Eliminates airplane noises and surrounding noises quite well. I am a light sleeper, and these helped tremendously to be able to sleep on the plane. I like that it came with airplane headphone jack adapter

Absolute junk! Stay away!

published

A very dissappinting headset especially given other good reviews. It has terrible sound and terrible noise cancellation, making it the most useless headset ever bought.
It makes constant hiss noises when expossed to wind. Any rub on its cancellation whole will absolutely screech you ear. Completely unusable when walking to the station or going for a run

Stay away!

Noise cancelling doesn't work well

published

Bought it at JB HiFi when it was on sale. Was trying to find a noise cancelling headphone for study, but it didn't work very well in the noisy library. Was a bit upset about the noise cancelling function, but the sound quality is pretty good, and the design is not bad. Recommend if you have a limited budget and want a noise cancelling headphone.

Good quality, fair price, could be better

published

I bought this for a day to day use, figured it's reasonably priced for Sony headphone. The quality is fairly good and for its price, definitely worth it. However if you are looking for a real noise cancelling headphone, you might be disappointed. The headphone sits comfortably on your ears, even though for a long use, it will still give you a mark. All in all, good product to buy, but there are better ones out there.

Good sound quality and NC, worth the price.
Really like it. As a cheap product, it wont be expected to be as perfect as bose qc35, but in this price, it’s the best noice cancelling headphones you can get. Good for people who don’t want to pay a lot but want noice cancelling

This sony headphone has a great and awesome sound quality although it is not one of the famous brands. I haven't tried the wireless one but this one does a great job and distinguishes the sounds perfectly. Totally recommend if you can get it with a cheap and reasonable price.

Perfect for the light lovers

This specific brand of Sony is trustworthy and great. The headset is light and has great audio quality for the prices available. If you want to watch videos, listen to music, talk to friends, play games, it can do all of that. It may not be turtle beach or hyper X or beats but it does a great job.

Good sound quality and good design however much better can be purchased at a similar price point... (sennheiser). Not ridiculous as bests by Dre though...
That being said I wore it for about 2-3 hours and it remained conformable on my head and even used it as a backup gaming headset

We have a couple of pairs of sony headphones in our family. Even the kids now have some, as we were sick of the cheap ones breaking quickly. They have good quality sound, are comfortable and adjustable. And they don’t break quickly! The price is reasonable too, especially considering its a reputable brand.

SONY Noise Cancelling Headphones are a good fit but don't cancel all noise, don't have a volume control, and don't have a monitoring button for when people are talking to you like my last pair. If the price was not discounted by 40% would not of bought them, The ear cushioning on headphones is the same material that the old pair had which was worn,so needed to buy a new pair.
