It is one of the worst flights. You can ever go on. Crappy horrible food They have the worst Disability Services where they do not provide it at all. And the airline management is one of the worst. We recently flew return on SriLankan Airlines from Melbourne to Delhi via Colombo and this to my horror was my experience on their business class - I dare not travel in their economy.

While we were in India, we decided to extend our trip and that's where our troubles began. As changing the existing ticket was turning out to be more expensive than getting a new ticket I decided to go with the latter.

Well I'm a Frequent traveller and it all began when i had to book a last minute trip to India .
One of the cheaper ones available was the Srilankan Airlines . I had an option to take Qantas for $100 More !! Regret not taking it.

I’ve flown Sri Lankan at least 3 times return between MELBOURNE and Mumbai connecting in Colombo. The flight between Mumbai and Colombo is just a small plane with basic food, usually over crowded but ok overall.
The flight between Colombo and MELBOURNE is pretty good. The plane is recently refurbished, has decent size screens and ok chairs. Leg room could be better and chairs could be larger but it’s ok overall as they are usually a few $100 cheaper on the same route as qantas. I flew via business class with Sri Lankan Airlines from Karachi to Colombo and Colombo to Bangkok.
The aircraft was an A320 from Islamabad and an A330-200 from Colombo to Bangkok.
Checkin and in-flight service was excellent.
The only incident in the two flights was that shortly after taking off from Karachi, the pilot levelled out and told us that one of the cargo doors was not indicating closed.
