Proform Nutritional Supplement in neutral is fantastic, I've not tried vanilla or chocolate but I doubt they'd be as sweet as Sustagen. Sadly the neutral sustagen is too sweet.

So, improving the taste means increasing sugar? I no longer buy this product since they "improved the taste", used daily for over 6 years and had to stop, just undrinkable.

I am working in a Pharmacy, my customer has just left my shop without buying sustagen as she has told me the new formula taste is terrible.
She will not buy the product if the taste doesn't change back.

For people like me who have all sorts of allergies to food and medication's, the old flavour is 100% better, the size of the tin (1 kg has gone), the price is huge ($3 per KG past) and the price ranges through the different outlets is extortion driving the cost. I remember when you could only by the Hospital one at a public hospital by prescription, released now as a marketing money driven objective and not needs based

Bring back the old taste. This new taste is disgusting. I will not be buying it again unless the old flavour comes back. Very disappointed.

New hospital vanilla is way too sweet bring back the old one I doubt I will buy another can if the new one is the only option

The NEW Great Taste is passable but not nearly as nice as the taste it replaced. More importantly, it now contains 50% sugar, up from 38.5% - Hospital Formula !! It is also much courser in granularity and generally not as good. And the new size is 840g as against 900g and I checked a few places I buy it from and they uppped the price to coincide. Does this coincide with Nestle taking over or are they just marketing it differently. It now tastes like the 57% sugar Sustagen Sport that I can no longer stomach - so sickly.

13NOV15: just purchased "NEW IMPROVED" vanilla Sustagen- absolute DISASTER - cannot believe the taste is so overpowering & unpleasant!! Been taking it for 6 years, so bad, I won't be able to get used to it. Very,very disappointing..

I am giving sustagen to my dad for almost a year and he had shown improvement in his health.He was suppose to died 8 months ago and was confirmed by the wellington urologist who was looking after my dads case but this is for 100% keeping him alive and healthy,the good part is that he can have when ever he feel like it and its easy to make and use goat milk it become a magic drink

I bought sustagen after my daughter was born and i wasn't getting enough time to eat extra calories required for b/feeding, so i had 2-3 sustagen shakes a day and it kept my energy up! especially during those 2-4am feeds! i loved the chocolate flavour, but not so struck on the vanilla, all in all a great pep up shake
Tasted amazing! mixed well in milk and was easy to drink, priced well for 900g tin!
