Is this the best vitamin to stop thinning hair and break outs on skin?

I don't know about "the best" but I have found my skin and hair generally all round improved. I am prone to very small pre menstrual break outs but I don't find them anywhere near as bad. I think that trying the vitamins for a month might be the best way for you to see any difference.

My doctor prescribed these to take as my iron level was a bit low. Will these help build it up or do I need an iron tablet?

1 answer

The type and amount of iron in this vitamin (it contains ferrous furamate, or iron salts rather than ferrous sulphate, which is better at restoring iron deficiency but furamate is more gentle on the tummy) I would say is NOT suitable for helping your low iron. The tablet does contain 30% of your recommended daily amount BUT if you are borderline anaemic I would have thought your doctor would have prescribed ferrous sulphate. I think it's a great vitamin but I'd double check with your doctor as you may require additional iron supplements and it may be possible to take the vitamin in conjunction with this additional iron supplement. I hope this helps.

Hello zozo,
For me personally no, I have had no problems taking it however things do work differently for different people. Personally I don't think you'd see results as early as three days, most multivitamins can take months to start to work. You may have a reaction to one of the products in the tablet or maybe a reaction to something completely different. You should consult your health care provider and get there opinion if your worried

You can absolutely crush multivitamins. I wouldn't chew as it would be foul, but you could crush it or cut it in half to make it easier to swallow.

Yes, if your body is lacking something and you take it in vitamin form, it works. Vitamin B is good for stress, but it won't cure it! You can get bloodwork done to find out if you're lacking any vitamins.

Yes. Any vitamins your body doesn't need will just be flushed out. It won't react with your other medication.

I guess it doesn't matter whether they are taken together or not. I only use the tablet ones.
