Side Effects

published

I bought 50+ as I was just getting over a shingles outbreak which left me feeling rather down. Had a look at the ingredients and found them to contain rather a lot of "E" numbers but thought having paid £15.99 I should rather try them at least. Well only took one tablet after breakfast and all day felt very hyper and irritable, shall not be taking any more and did not enjoy the effect.

Thought I was buying a quality product, but having just read all the reviews wish I had come her first before wasting my money.

Side effects overrule the benefits.

published

I bought 65+ version, being 68 and about to embark on cycling in Austria. Wasn't sure that my nausea was linked to the Ultivite at first, but I persisted with my 60 tablets continuing to be a little nauseous each morning after taking my one per day. Have now had a rest for about a month before purchasing another 60 tabs, and again find myself feeling nauseous each morning for 10 mins or so. This morning was worse, so I think I will chuck them. Not sure that any benefits warrant the side effects.

Effortless essential!

published

I have read quite a few reviews and for the women experiencing nausea, I want to let you know I did as well over the first couple of days (with breakfast). My advice to you is to persist because after that initial phase of discomfort it really is an simple way to get energy and health from a capsule. I will definitely be purchasing this product again!

Worst experience

I took these as the package says, during my breakfast and within 1 hour I had to lay down and go to sleep! I felt nauseous and fatigue, got up again to have some lunch hoping to feel better. I had to go straight back to bed as I was feeling even worse than in the morning. It wasn't until late that night I started to feel slightly better!

Check with your doctor

I took a whole bottle over the recommended time and dosage limit and then had a break of a month or so. Since restarting I have had tingling in my left arm and chest pains also feeling quite sick. Have always taken these with or after a good breakfast. I have stopped for two days now and have no intention of restarting. Wondering if my new batch is contaminated.

Not happy

Taking the 50+ multivitamins for a week now an was not able to sleep at night till early morning's and have tested it by not taking them at all after breakfast. l have heard of people taking them later in the day having problems sleeping that's why l made sure that l take that earlier in the day so l will have to stop taking them. Bit disappointed as l paid $49.95 at Chemist Warehouse Swiss brand.

Makes me nauseas

published

This multivitamin speaks for itself since people are already familiar with the brand.
When purchasing this the pharmacy told me the compound of ingredients was quite good and this worked for her.
Didn't really take it for too long since it made me nauseas there is something in the makeup that doesn't agree with me, but it may work for you!

Be careful!!!

published

3 weeks after I started taking these I ended up in the er with low blood pressure, arythmia, and palpitations. I run and eat healthy and never had problems like this before. There are herbs in here that lower blood pressure and that shouldn't be taken for extended periods of time.

Jury still out - causes nausea

published

I have only taken these for two days so far, but suffering from extreme nausea for about half an hour after taking them (similar to reviews of teenage ultivite). I will persist, and try taking them at bedtime, to see if I can reap some of the great benefits reported by others. Tablet caps are huge and difficult to swallow - I recommend going for capsule version.

Excellent

published

The price is definetely worth it as the ingredients are high quality, the tablets have a smooth coating that slips down easily enough, and there are a lot in a bottle so you don't have to buy them all the time.
Many years ago someone reccommended this brand to me as I was feeling tired all the time. I started using them and felt much better. Over the years I have taken them on and off whenever I feel I'm in a slump, too tired or run down. They are a very good all rounder and the addition of herbs seems to be beneficial.
There is nothing i dislike about this product at all.

Good product - it was recommended to me by my doctor as the best, so I haven't strayed despite the cons - but jeez I wish they'd candy-coat it or something!!!
I think it does help with PMT and with generally feeling more energetic.
I don't know what tablets are being taken by people here who say these don't taste bad, but they can't be the same ones I'm taking. I've been taking these for ages and I still start retching as soon as I open the Swisse container; I have to take my other vitamins first or I have serious trouble swallowing the rest through the retching after smelling the Swisse one! Capsules not much better -- and you have to take two for the same benefit, so I've stuck to the tablet.

Try coating the tablet with honey - masks the taste and helps it slip down.

Good

I have started taking this multivitamin 2 years ago and I felt an energy increase after one week. The tablets itself are as big as other multivitamins are. The first time I was opening the box I did not like the smell of it. But I got quiet quickly rather used it. If I swallow the multivitamin in one go I do not have any after taste but if that it not go down directly it tastes metallic. I had a time where I did not take it and I felt my energy level dropping. I am not sure if this was real or more my imagination but I keep going taking it.
A pill which gives you all you need.
This multivitamin is a bit pricey.

I was recommended this brand by my chemist when I was overwhelmed with the choices so this is why I bought it. I can't say I noticed anything too great from taking them, and probably won't buy them again now I have run out after seeing a write up on all multivitamins and this wasn't rated that high. If you are wanting a general multi then I guess this is as suitable as many of them, but if you are lacking in specific nutrients like I am, you might be better off doing your research like I am currently doing, to find a product or two that will better suit your requirements.
Tablets aren't too big to swallow or smelly like many others.
Not sure if they really are worth it for me.
