Beware of Tag Hauer servicing!
I recently sent my expensive Tag Hauer dress watch, which is quartz movement, off for a new battery. Was charged $80 up front. The watch is just over 3 years old so out of warranty, but is in near new condition. It has hardly been worn, only on special occasions, and was working just fine before the battery died (the 4 second tick). I was astonished to receive a phone call from Tag's agent advising me that Tag had said it required a full service at an additional cost of $400. I couldn't accept that there was anything wrong with the watch s...Read more
o asked that it be returned to me. Tag would not refund the $80 paid up front - which I believed covered the cost of battery replacement and pressure testing. Anyway, I then took it to an experienced watchmaker & jeweller in Bentleigh East (Larkins) who replaced the battery (no pressure test though - really only required if you're going to wear it in water) and said he couldn't find anything wrong with the watch and that it did not require a service, especially as it is quartz movement - so not as much wear and tear as, say, an automatic watch which may require servicing from time to time. He charged me $25!! Larkins also replaced the battery in my Longines watch at the same time, also $25.Purchased in November 2021 at Saleras for $3,800.00.

TAG Heuer watch always needs repairing
in mid 2017 I bought a TAG Heuer Aquaracer with the calibre 5 movement from the Chadstone store for over $2750. within 6 months it stopped working. the winder was jammed and being an auto watch it wasn't self winding. returned it for a warranty repair and TAG took care of it but a few weeks later same problem returned. again sent to TAG and this time it worked ok for 6 months but then stopped, same problem. and so the cycle continued, all up in 2.5 years this watch has been repaired 5 times and now, you guessed it, has stopped again
Purchased in June 2021 for $2,745.00.

Don't do it, you will be disappointed
paid $5,500 for a Tag watch. 3 years later it had serious problems. They wanted t charge me $900 to repair the issue. it was from water getting in. I argued with them and said it was a manufacturing fault, they said it was all my fault. at $1,800 a year for a watch, no thanks. I would have been better off getting a $10 rip off from Bali, that would have lasted longer
Purchased in October 2021 for $5,500.00.

Fantastic Respect
Just want to thanks to Peter at the Chadstone Store and Darren at HQ in Sydney for their total respect and transparency in the repairs with dealing with my husband and my link watches that were purchased in 1997. The watches represent our marriage and are more than saying we have a 'Tag Heuer' watch. Thank you so much for keeping us in the loop through the whole process, and allowing us peace of mind they would be returned safely in time for our trip to the UK. Brilliant!

Excellent example as to why I own a TAG Heuer.
I sent my TAG Heuer for service by mail to LVMH. I received an email thread for the entire process. I was quoted a price, after 20 years ownership I expected a large amount but was pleasantly surprised. My watch was mailed back. Sheer joy. I thank all at LVMH.

Terrible watch.Waste of money.
Bought a Tag Carerra Juan Fangio and only wore it a few times whenever I went out.
Max 20 times I wore it before it started playing up 'like a two bob watch'.
First off the date wheel stopped working then the watch suddenly stopped working altogether.Absolute joke for a $4500 purchase.Ive had $100 watches that I bought years ago that still work.
Do not go near a Tag Huer is my advice for anybody wishing to purchase an expensive watch.

Same review as everyone else - TAG equals poor quality at very expensive price
Three years old - band broken twice - out of warranty of course - my fault as apparently a diver's chromometer watch is not made to wear daily - $4000 for what???????
First time - clasp broke - not even up to first service (how that would help I do not understand)
Second - pins dropped out of band (from excessive wearing)
Should have purchased a Rolex or a$20 throw away

Terrible, terrible watch - broken down three times.
Automatic Tag kept poor time and then stopped working after only about two years. Sent it away for repair. Came back and worked OK for another couple of years. Took it back in again after it stopped working again, and they claim it is "my fault" because I didn't have the watch serviced every three years! I explained that it had been in for a repair only two years ago where all the service work had been done (essentially just replacing seals and o-rings), but they insisted I pay $238 dollars to have the mechanism replaced. So there you go -...Read more
the mechanism in the $3000 watch costs only $238. The rest must go to their expensive marketing campaign for these rubbish watches. Anyway, after replacing the entire mechanism, it stopped working again after about 12 months, and I haven't worn it again. BUYER BEWARE!1 comment

June / July 2013 - Purchased a Tag Heuer (Carrera) Men’s Watch from Wallace Bishop
Watch was purchased for approximately $5000
Watch was purchased as a “dress” piece and not an everyday watch as can be seen by the perfect condition it is in.

November 2016 noticed fogging under the casing.
Watch taken to Wallace Bishop Store – advised to send watch to Tag authorised dealer (told cheaper to do this myself and not through the store)

Terrible quality
Less than 2 years old and has been repaired either by Tah or their authorised agent Wallace Bishop 5 times as it just stops working. Each time they repair it they keep it for weeks at a time.
Just had it back from repair at Xmas and it now fills up with water and fogs up. Terrible after sales service they just keep repairing and won’t replace it with a new watch. About to send back for the sixth time and I just hate the watch now. They say a Manager will call you and this is terrible, but no one calls and nothing happens.

BEWARE, buy some other brand
Appalling after sale service. Love my Tag aquaracer watch BUT the after sales service is a rip off and appalling. 7 yrs old now told it is a very old watch ( still see exactly same for sale in Tag shops). After taking to a Tag shop in Brisbane and contacting Australia head office they cannot deny it is a fake! Bought from a very reputable jeweler. Tag just wants me to send it back to them to investigate! Dont think so, off to consumer affairs. Watch/ band should last longer than 7 yrs.
i now take it to my local jeweler who does a better job and so much cheaper and offers good service. My watch now works perfectly after sending it to Tag for battery changed and it didnt work when i got it back from them. DISGUSTED

Poor quality
Received my Carrera a little over 3 years ago at a total cost of just over 4 thousand dollars. It suddenly stopped working and I just today got a quote to repair it for $685.00. What a joke. I ok'd the repair, but never again. What a poor quality watch. I have 2 self winding Seiko's for over 40 years that continue to work fine.Less then a quarter of the cost.

She was clueless. I never buy from the company again. They don’t stand behind there brand only want to make money from your repair.

A recent service from TAG on my Formula 1 watch was both disappointing and suscipious . It took over
Very disappointing service . 2 months for bezel replacement and highly suspicious notation of moisture in dial, not previously noted. Never again, very untrustworthy !

Bloody good watch. My only complaint is having to pay top dollar for top watches .
I purchased the Carrera Calibre 1 45 MM CAR2A1W.BA0703 a few months ago, and can safely say it's the best watch I have ever owned.
It hasn't skipped a beat
It looks amazing and sits well on my average size wrist
it's a real feat of design and engineering and it can take a real beating.
My only issue is having to pay huge prices for top quality watches. I could by a small boat for the price I have to pay (mind you I found a good price; compared to buying from a retailer, here http://buyatagwatch.com/product/mens-tag-heuer-carrera-calibre-heuer-01-automatic-chronograph-45-mm-car2a1w-ba0703/ ) for a top watch like this.
If it outlasts me and can get passed down to my children and so, on, then it's def worth it.

Watch OK. Service will rip you off. Avoid.
Took 25 yr old Tag watch into get new battery/pressure tested into Melbourne TAG. Think the quote was about $80 to do it. They came back to me that the watch is broken and needs repairing. There was nothing wrong with t before the battery went flat. They wanted to send for a quote for fixing. I refused and picked up the watch and took it to Swiss Watch Service Centre. They checked the watch, changed the battery, pressure tested for $50. They reported nothing wrong with the watch. Tag service is a scam. Partner took his 3 yr old Tag into them ea...Read more
rlier this year for a battery replacement. Of course they said it needed repair! $450 later got the watch back. Should have gone elsewhere for a second opinion on that as well but believed Tag service there was a problem. Strangely the Tag service person admitted that the newer lower end tag watches have very cheap and poor internals.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
A charming timepiece
I bought this Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 (Date) three and a half years ago. It gets worn several days per week and remains highly accurate and in excellent condition. The case design and finish is striking and impeccable. The black dial is clean and elegant in its simplicity. The applied hour markers and and logo are perfectly cut and produce a stunning lustre in the light. The bracelet is very comfortable and the deployant-style clasp is easy to open and close while being very secure when on the wrist. The crown is the perfect size to wind, while staying out of the way when not in use. Overall, a stunning high quality timepiece that is outstanding value.

21st Present for my son
We own 3 Tag Watches and they have all been very reliable and accurate.
We bought a Tag Heur Aquaracer automatic for my son as a 21st Birthday gift. It is a lemon, does not keep accurate time has been back to Tag twice, each time it is gone for at least a month. I also own a $100.00 Bali Rolex and that keeps better time and function perfectly; The AquaRacer was $2,700.00.
I will not buy another Tag.
