Taubmans Tradex Questions & Answers
7 questions from our users
I've used Taubmans Tradex Ceiling Paint on a few jobs and I've found that no matter how wet the roller is, the paint dries rough in some areas. I've had to sand down the first coat to take the rough edge off to get a better finish on the final coat. I've used different type/quality/nap rollers but to no avail. Any ideas?
Perhaps a better quality roller cover may help?
I stopped using the "Paint Partner" brand of roller cover, and started using the "Unipro" brand roller covers, and my paint jobs are look better now.

Would Taubmans Tradex be the best choice for a ceiling?
that depends on the amount that you have to spend on paint. But whatever you do, don't use spring paint for anything ever. Taubman's is a good brand and anything from them will be good. If you have the money for it, go for it.
I’ve painted some exterior render with oil based gloss instead of acrylic. Looks awlful. Other than sanding, what can I do to go back to non gloss?
Just réprime it. But make sure the primer paint has a blocker so the oil based paint doesn't bleed/come through the new paint.
best oil based under coat to use before Taubmans water based enamel ?
I used some quick dry (Taubmans) and seriously couldn't get coverage and the coats looked really scratchy
Do not know but I would never use this again. Did not give a good finish. Using another paint for ceiling now (Brinley) I think and also a low sheen/satin finish, much better results. Good luck
Tradex full gloss enamel hi dura. Gloss is it water base?
No I don't think it was and it has been a while since I used this. I have no can to look at for you, sorry. Enjoy your painting,
