Not sure this is covered in the user manual, the only thing I took off was the press button unit when one of the buttons broke because I pushed it too hard, probably a job for an electrician

The push button system (which breaks due to the plastic breaking around the screws, has a clip attached further up the electrical wires (about 15 centimetres). Please insure the electricity is turned off at the mains before any removal of the wired clip. It is best an electrician is called for warranty purposes and to prevent any danger to you. But if you feel qualified, you can undo the clip and order the part through your local repair agent or order it online and once it arrives you can replace it. Make sure you order the Button plus wiring and clip or otherwise you will only get the button section. If you type into google the model number of your rangehood it usually comes up with a parts section. A lot of repairers will only supply you with the button casing and not the wiring with clip attached.

Hi Sue . We went to our local Better Electrical branch and they were extremely helpful and ordered a new fan control unit for us at the cost of $100. This included reinstating the electrical unit by them. We then still did not have the lights functioning and got our local electrician in to test the transformer which was faulty and we then replaced that ($20). All in all quite costly but not as much as buying an entirely new range hood. Our electrician told us that you can now get LED lights which are not effected by the heat or moisture.
