How long should the pre heat circle keep rotating when cooking plain rice ? The 9 minute Timer doesn’t seem to come on for me. First time 40 minutes went by and so I opened the pot, rice was crumbly .. second time timer still did not come on so I opened it after all the steam came out and rice was cooked but never had the 9 minute timer come on again..
I am following exactly what the instructions tell me.

Where can I access more recipes for this product other than what is in the book that comes with the machine?

I’ve not used any of the included recipies with the exception of some of the soups. Try Googling Julia Child’s Beef Bourguignon recipie for pressure cooker. I followed the recipie to the letter but added a 2 hour slow cook before putting the mushrooms in at the end. Turned out brilliantly and I’m not a good cook. Flicking between the browning, pressure cook and slow cook settings is the key here. Not sure why everyone is so hung up on Tefal recipies.
Thank you Chris Oz I will try to step out of my comfort zone and just pick recipes that suit the functions of the machine. I have used several of the recipes in the book
and find they are a bit bland for my taste so will use them as a baseline only. Justine Schofield from Everyday Gourmet uses the Tefal products and her recipes are great.
Whilst he looks like a carrot from all the fake tan he wears and his tv fads are terrible, I highly recommend the Pete Evans One Pot Paleo book - the recipes are great and healthy to boot

What is the wattage of this pressure cooker? Is it the same as the cook4me? I went to the Tefal website and did not find any information about this.

I exchanged my original Tefal Fast and Delicious as the browning function stopped working, with the ‘E2’ code appearing on the screen. Tefal said it needed to be repaired or replaced. Unfortunately, the same error code is now appearing in the replacement. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. It has to do with a problem with the locking lid that does not stay open properly. It slips and then you get the error message, even though it looks open fully. I took mine back to the store and upgraded it now very happy.
If you dont have the lid in the fully open position. it will show the E2 sign when Browning, Check the lid
Tighten the bolt on the inside of the lid and it should work fine

I have just bought this - primarily for the pressure cooker. I've tried making bone broth but the maximum I can cook for is about 40 minutes. Ideal pressure cooking time for bone broth is 2 hours. Even the DIY function can't override it. Any advice?

Not sure there is an answer for this one, maybe customer service can help they are very good. My suggestion would be use the manual function and then when it beeps start it again. I know its not the best but I have done this one.
Have you tried the DIY cooking mode and put your own timings in?

Where can I get decent pressure cooker recipients for this product? I am not interested in the slow cooking as I have a slow cooker. My daughter gave it to me as a gift and didn't realise it had other functions as we wanted just a pressure cooker.

I browse the internet for pressure cooker recipes, they don't need to be specifically for this model because you can adapt them by using other model recipes. If you like curries buy the pastes from the supermarket which tells you the ingredients and quantities to put in. Use the book that came with it to get the quantities of the meat, brown and them pressure cook for that amount of time. Hope this helps.

Is it normal to have such long warm up times. It just took an hour to cook 2 cups of rice. 50mins warm up and 9mins cook. The other day it again took 50mins to warm up to pressure cook a chicken for 40mins. With th we times it’s in now way simpler or quicker to use than normal cooking methods.

If this is a new one I would take it back to the store and swap it over. I did not have this problem with it, 9 min for rice is correct but the warm up is definitely not wright it should only take a few minutes. I was very happy with it but now have another Tefal Cook4Me which is way more advanced and guides you through the recipe's on a screen. I only swapped over because mine had a loose lid problem. I have had my Cook4Me for six months now and it is the best appliance I have ever bought.
Hi Sharon, To be honest I haven't used the rice cooker function much only for cooking rissotto. In terms of warm up times you are right sometimes it does take quite long for pressure cooking or steaming although 50mins is a very long time never experience wait times of that long. Tips I found to help warm it up quicker is 1. I usually make sure the pressure nozzle at the top is closed or 2. I have also found by clicking cancel then re-selecting the pressure cook function it warms up alot faster
