Do Not Waste Your Hard Earned Money!
While I cannot fault the comfort of our mattress (although extremely hot to sleep on), our experience with Tempur has been less than satisfactory. Our mattress developed depressions on both sides of the bed. Tempur’s warranty conditions ‘allowed’ us to replace the mattress at 30% of our original purchase price for every year over an initial five year period, effectively paying tempur $3600.00 to replace a faulty mattress that we have already outlayed $6000.00 for. Trying to reach a conclusion was the biggest, most time consuming and labour extensive exercise ever. With zero result. I would never recommend this company/brand/product to anyone who values the products they invest in as this one is not worth it.
Purchased in November 2021 at Forty Winks for A$6,000.00.

Absolutely worst mattresses ever made
It's actually a Rhapsody 30. When I first bought this bed I had enormous back pain as a direct result of the bed. The tempur sales rep came out to investigate and I have persisted with the bed. Whilst it has improved, it has never been a comfortable bed and almost every morning I wake up stiff and sore from the bed. I've never had a good night's sleep with the bed. I think Tempur beds are terrible and that it's mostly marketing and hype that has given tempur its reputation. I suppose good on them. I'm going to sell the bed as I hate it so much and go back to a reliable, trusted brand. Such a shame.

No-one should buy this product!
We've just had the rep from Tempur here to look at our flat pristine mattress and what a surprise, the company warranty only covers delamination or complete sinking where a stick is placed on the mattress to show it's collapsedt. No-one will help you after you make this expensive purchase. Our mattress cost $4,000-00 and was bought in desperation because I have lower back pain. It was put on a timber slatted base and bought in summer. I've read this memory foam causes heat or fumes, but we found neither a problem. Our problems were much worse! ...Read more
In summer we sank into it and at first it was comfortable, but it did nothing to help my lower back pain. The heavier hotter parts of the body sink in deeper and with a pillow at one end and light feet at the other I soon found I was in a hammock position which made my back hurt more. Being sucked down into the mattress there are walls all around which had to be climbed up out of to lie on my side. With a sore back moving from one position to another and fighting the mattress at every turn was exhausting. Then winter arrived. We were amazed to find the memory foam absorbs the cold air from the room and becomes extremely cold to lie on. But the biggest shock was that it became hard as a rock. Once my body warmed the foam I sank down into it even more than in summer. Over time I developed a severe pain in my right side near my waist. I started going to my G.P. who ordered many tests and then 3 different types of X-Rays. One X-Ray entailed signing a waver because the dye they injected could be fatal. But the pain was so terrible I had no choice. I was no longer sleeping at night. I was spinning and struggling and 100% miserable in bed. So I moved into the spare bedroom. Within 4 nights of sleeping on a different mattress my side pain was completely gone. We've turned the expensive one sided memory foam mattress over exposing a firm foam slab and plan to sleep one night on it and see how we go. All the negative review on this product are definitely warranted. There is no centre back support at all with Tempur Memory Foam. It is probably one of the most expensive mattresses available and is definitely the most uncomfortable and damaging. I will never sleep on Tempur memory foam again. It is light and easy to make the bed, but nothing else good to say about it. Extremely expensive, no centre back support, cold and hard as a rock in winter, hard to turn over in bed.
Purchased in December 2021 for A$4,000.00.

One and a half years later. (5.5.2015) At first the foam side was good. But after 17 months, it's starting to give way in the centre and the back support is diminishing. It's a little too firm for my ... Read more
shoulder and hips when sleeping on my side. Still wish we'd never bought this mattress but the foam side is miles better than the expensive memory foam side. What a dreadful product. Please think hard before making the same mistake we did.5th April 2016. Anyone out there who'd like a second hand $4,000-00 Tempur mattress? All offers considered!!! :~))

Just a P.S. We turned the memory foam over burying the expensive layer and exposing the underside which is a very firm foam. WOW!!! This is the very best thing to do if you get stuck with this product... Read more
. You can bet the foam is not expensive, but it's great to sleep on. We don't get sucked down into the quick-sand any more and the back support is perfect. I sleep soundly, can easily turn from one position to another, it's not temperature sensitive, in fact I have no complaints at all... well there is the $4,000-00, but I'm happy at last. (Not sleepless any more)
