Support is non existent

published

F770 installed by AAV and works fine however the App for Mac doesn't seem to work with the latest IOS (10.15.3). I twice emailed the Australian office and got absolutely no response. I emailed the head office in the States, copying the Australian office. I immediately got a system generated reply but nothing since. Further emails for an update produces no response either. If they do not improve customer support then they will start losing business. I won't buy again unless they pull their finger out.

Purchased in March 2021 at AAV for $699.00.

Have a lot of trouble connecting

published

I’ve had it for six months. Had it wired into the car cost $1200. Worst product I’ve ever bought. Can’t even connect to wi fi. The buttons are so small I can hardly see them. I want my money back so I can buy something that works

Purchased in October 2021 at Dealership Direct for $1,200.00.

Dissapointing

published

Very disappointed, great while it worked. Had it just over 12 months now it just beeps and turns its self off.
Lot of money to pay for 12 months use. This unit cost me $800 dollars with rear cam and hard wire kit.
While it worked it was extremely good. I would not take a chance on this for the money.

Awesome Dash Cam

published

The picture quality is really good and the other features like lane departure and forward collision warnings are awesome. WiFi takes a few seconds to be found by my phone but once it's connected works really well, videos are easy to navigate on my phone as they are organised by date and time.

Mobile speed camera zone warnings used to be a bit annoying but since I updated the firmware it doesn't say anything about mobile speed camera zones unless I'm speeding.

Definitely use the Thinkware hard wiring cable as it enables parking surveillance mode. When I start the car my F750 tells me if there was an impact during parking mode, pretty handy for car parks trolley incidents ect...

Thinkware does have customer support through the Thinkware Australia Facebook page and the Australian distributor TDJ Australia.

Thinkware does have customer support in Australia but the rough end of a pinaple would be more helpful

Is there any way to turn off the annoying "Mobile Speed Camera Zone" message that repeats every 10 seconds or so, without disabling the other safety camera warnings?
I drove through a 6 km stretch of road yesterday (that is known to be a hot spot for mobile speed cameras) and was reminded at least 50 times by the camera. One warning would suffice.

As far as im aware, you go to the dash cam settings, and turn off the Road Safety Warning Notification.

Etmar
Etmar

thank you for your answer Jamez, however this will disable all Road Safety warnings including speed and red light cameras. I just wondered if it was possible to somehow stop the "mobile speed camera zone" message from repeating every 10 seconds. It is a brilliant camera but this is really annoying the hell out of me.

Jamez
Jamez

No worries Etmar, yeah, they need to have a feature where you can choose WHICH warning to disable, i know the problem you speak of, it doesnt happen to me to often (touch wood) and for me, is not as bad as your problem.

Perhaps we should msg Thinkware and ask them let us choose which warnings we would like to disable/enable on the next firmware/software update.
Edit: i also lowered my volume to make my alerts less intrusive. The pre set level was too loud, for me.
