I purchased an item from Top Hatters and noted when I checked the web site if my parcel would soon arrive it according to them had been delivered. I contacted support that I had not recieved the package and received the following reply

Tracking numbers are used to confirm the delivery of packages to buyers, and in the case of returned items, to sellers. A tracking status of delivered confirms the transaction was successfully completed.

They are not taking any responsibility for the parcel not arriving please noted there is someone home 2...

Have made four purchases ftom top hatter. Only one does as it was meant to. The rest were rubbish. Also charged international transfer fees for thr transactions. I bank with Nab.
In top hatters defense they did refund the purchase price for one item but it is not worth wasting time with.

Bidders and buyers should be aware that CBA will charge you international fees on your credit card for purchases from Tophatter. This is irrespective of the fact that you have logged into Tophatter Australia and all prices are quoted in Australian dollars. I assume other banks follow this policy. Tophatter should make it clear that this is the case and that items are sourced from outside Australia & will consequently attract bank fees.

i have won auctions on Tophatter and after they have taken my money from my credit card often the sale is then cancelled. I have contacted them to no avail. These transactions should be final once your card has been accessed. They should not be allowed to trade this way!!!!!!!!!!!

The price that they say the item is reduced from is rubbish, just check on Ebay, some of the bidders have no idea and are paying inflated prices.

I bought 2 game consoles.very very disappointed.just cheap junk. No instructions. Best place for them is rubbish bin.would not buy from this company again and urge customers to be very very wary to what you buy.Junk.

Just rubbish with very costly postage, ordered 3 items on the same day 1st arrived approximately 1 month later, 2nd a few weeks after that, the third I still don't have. stay away from this sight there are so many more sights to choose from.

I have so far purchased three items from this site. One was cancelled, one was delivered, one was delivered and did not work so was refunded. The last item was a real adventure. Ordered in October delivered 15th December. It was a sports blue tooth ear phone. No instructions and the item does not work. This company has only junk and cannot even deliver it in time. The best thing they have is a good photographer.

December 28th 2017 Update: Products I have purchased were junk

Bought 4 items so far one was ok two were refunded. One took 2 months for delivery (was junk also refunded). Good thing was that the company refunded money without question. But what is the point of buying junk. Waste of time. I’ll go elsewhere.

All the items I have purchased from this website have been rubbish, the latest being a small child's electronic toy, to my disgust it arrives in Australia with Chinese sound. Never again, please stay away from this website.

I found this link on facebook and when clicked through i see an exact ring i recently purchased from aliexpress advertised with a shipping fee equal to double what i paid for the item, it also listed the stone as tourmaline instead of the cz its listed as on other sites. There were also some necklaced advertised as 14k gold when i have seen the exact item images elsewhere online described as "gold coloured" or "costume" ...scary this is allowed. If you want to shop on this site i suggest you right click on the image first (select all size images) to compare it to the Chinese direct sites so you can get a more detailed description of the item and decide if the shipping cost is fair.

Do not buy from this site I’ve purchased a few items, and all of them were absolute rubbish. These items only create more landfill. They refused to accept my returns and refund my monies. Huge disappointment, and hard lesson learnt

False advertising deceiving the buyer into quickly bidding on what they see and perceive as the product only to read what you have bought a moment later and then being disappointed that it only a lens for a camera or a replacement band for a fitbit. When you see the price of items that have been reduced, huge amounts of reduction you are decieved into thinking you are buying that actual item. My goods haven't arrived yet so will update once they arrive as to the quality.

Don't waste your money. I purchased five items and all five items were absolute garbage. My son described the jewelry as feeling like it was made from a coke can. Nothing looks like the pictures. Don't buy from here

Set your limit of what you will spend and stick to it. I have lots of fun bidding on items. I love most of the jewelry, yes most is costume jewelry but for the price it is really pretty. Shipping is quite fast with most sellers. Clothes are mostly asian sizes so you need to order up. I love it!

i have been buying from you for a few months my only complaint is the smart wrist watches
not one has worked my friends who purchased elsewhere are enjoying theirs but cannot get mine to work

Tophatter- fantastic app but some sellers need to be banned, just like bidders that cancel too often.
All's fair right?
Love the fast experience of the Bid and win, yet items continually arrive faulty, damaged or nothing like the expectation.
The jewellery needs to be accurate in description, have seen far too many sellers use deceitful adverts in all categories.
One pet peeve is the silicone ring for a crockpot.. I've watched Poole bit up to $57 au, I'm sure they think they're bidding for the cookware due to advertisement layout.
Tophatter could knock eBay off its selling perch if .. IF the bad sellers are stopped.

Most of the items on this site look like they are bargain priced but if you shop for the same items on e-bay you will get them much cheaper. Also a lot of the items are very poor quality, especially the shavers whose pics make them look like expensive models but what you get is a cheap throw away.

I made the mistake of buying one item from this site. It arrived, wrong colour.
The cost of sending back was almost the cost of the article $28...so I sent back for $3....my mistake. They wanted me to send back with a tracking number. I told them I had already sent back for $3 and was not prepared to pay any more.
I am in a dispute with them at the moment and do not hold out any hope of a refund at all.
DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM...YU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Goods auctioned show a price that one assumes is the rrp.. They show bracelets at around $1500 dollars that I can make for under $10.00. I bid on an item that was said to be $96.00 with a $15 postage charge that i later found on ebay for $1.00 and free postage. The sale goes so quickly there is no time to check out the validity of the goods on offer. People are paying large sums for rubbish.

They will say "opal" and "silver" but later the description reads "created opal" and "silver plated".

I found this site from a source saying it was 'one of the most popular shopping sites online'. It may be popular but it's a rip-off.
