How do you remove the timing chain in a 2001 Toyota hiace. I have a cracked head gasket and can't remove the chain to replace it.

Radiator pipe leak, underneath the radiator, roughly in line with front wheels, axle 2006 model. I noticed a very slight drip, pinkish colour liquid. Paid over $500 to fix more than 12 months ago with genuine Toyota parts. No problems since.

Sadly not an expert, sounds like a question for Toyota. Probably just some coding issue likely.

$17000 is too much for a 200K. You can shop around and get a later model with less Ks. Don't give up and keep looking on Gumtree or car yards.

Hi Kerry, Agree with Joseph. One of my friends bought a 2010 Diesel manual with 75,000km ex Army for $20,000 so keep looking. Recommend going with Auto as Manual gearboxes do have some issues with higher Km's (5th gear, and "spideck" bearing taking large load). Get the front end thoroughly checked out on any 2nd hand Toyota Hiace (eg, upper control arms, wheel bearings) and when taking for a test drive, Diff will get noisy at the 75-80km mark if any issues. Happy hunting. Most reliable work horse for the money and parts not too expensive (comparable to Mercs and VW).
