Spare parts dilemma

Love the van ( 2011 - 2012 model ), until I had a crash. A cracked heater box needs to be replaced. Toyota says it will take another 3 to 6 weeks for the part to come from Japan. Panel beater has already had the van for 6 weeks. Lousy service from Toyota. Who would call 6 - 12 weeks for a part to be supplied reasonable service ? Especially for a work / commercial vehicle. Come on Toyota, get your act together.
Great van, if you like to sit around waiting for parts.
Income is being tortured from poor supply of parts. Great van until you need to fix it.

Depends on your distance, the petrol only comes in a 2 litre and diesel 3.0 turbo ZL model.

I am considering the exact same thing with maybe a commuter or SLWB. Interested to know about parts and costs to compare to other, and also weighing up diesel and petrol.
