Great Family Car
Great, reliable car both off road and zipping around the city. We have full confidence when driving in all weather conditions and terrain.
We have used it extensively in the snow, ice, dirt roads and mountains, and always feel safe and in control.
Purchased primarily for safety and security when expecting our third child, and we have not been let down.
Surprised and impressed when city driving; it has a great turning circle and the reverse camera gives a clear image that is easy to gauge.
The interior is comfortable; the drivers seat has a ...Read more

Fuel consumption huge on Turbo Diesel.
Even on eco mode 2015 Turbo Diesel uses huge amount of fuel. Taken it in for check and all - Toyota says working as intended.
Expect 10-12L/100 highway (no load other than driver) and 16L per 100Km for city driving, (1 driver two young kids), no other load).
Also Entertainment dashboard really suxs - GPS for voice volume hard to mute or turn down.). Its not part of GPS / navigation features, but buried in the main settings menu.

Prado Altitude Terrible Bluetooth Phone Reception
I have a 2015 Prado Altitude which has the JBL radio used in various Toyota models. The radio has a terrible echo & feedback for anyone who calls me in the car. I dont hear the echo in the car, it is only people who call me from either mobile or landline phones. The supplier (Fujitsu Ten) and Toyota Australia have evaluated the car and confirmed the problem but dont have any solutions. Has anyone else experienced this type of problem with their JBL radios? This is my 3rd Prado and up to now I have been happy, but I am very disappointed with this model and Toyota Australia's response thus far.

just perfect
I purchased my Prado new in August 2013 and I love it. I spend a little extra and got the special edition Altitude and it was well spent. The leather seats are a dream to clean and the DVD player keeps the kids busy. I find the car easy to drive especially to reverse with the cameras, and the sensors at the front and back ensure I never hit a thing :) Plenty of room particularly if I need to travel with 6 adults. I love that the 6 and 7 seats have AC vents and the climate air comes in handy too.The diesel is very economical averaging 8.9L/100km...Read more
. I fuel up about every 2 weeks and I travel 650kms a week. The Toyota capped price servicing takes the stress out of service costs too. I love my Prado and I would recommend it to anyone. cost of servicing, reliability, comfort, room inside, ease of driving,Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great car with lots of improvement on the prior model
Just bought the 2013 Altitude. Leather, sunroof, D4D motor, economy just superb. Just towed a 2tonne boat 700km and economy was around 15litres/100km. Without towing the car by itself returns on the highway 8.5, around town 9.5.
Love the keyless entry, satnav, bluetooth; other friends couldnt believe a subwoofer in the stereo so much more than the prior model (had the 2004 Grande Petrol). Less fuel capacity but in my line of work doesnt matter. No problems at all with the car or build. Have 4 kids and the configeration is perfect. Also have a 2...Read more
