2015 Yaris

published

I am very happy with the new design of the 2015 model. I wanted to have a safe car and set my eyes on Toyota because of its safety design and reliability. Having been driving this for 4 months, this car is just easy to park with the reverse camera.

Great car.

published

Would without hesitation endorse this car, we have the 1300 auto and has all the power we need and very economical to run, great on the open road as well as around town. Bought a Honda Jazz as well 1300 manual and have to say I prefer this myself but both are excellent value. Don't believe what the test drivers say in the mags, these are real world cars for real people in the real world.

Great economical small car.

published

We bought this vehicle new from northpoint toyota at Hillcrest S.A. in December of 2011.
It was the new 2012 model and we have been very happy with the cars performance. We looked around at Mazda, Suzuki and Honda but value for money and the smaller motor were reasons we settled on the Yaris.
The car is reliable and has bluetooth for the phone and electronic windows.

Great little Car

published

Purchased in June 2013 - Automatic 5 door

The Yarris is a reliable little run about. It is a compact car that is easy to drive. Driving position is comfortable and there is sufficient leg room in the back for an adult to sit without feeling cramped.

For us this is a shopping trolley and is used mainly to run to the shops etc with occasional longer drives.

The boot space (back seats up) is limited so consider what you are using the car for if massive amounts of storage are required.
Easy to drive, comfortable. Has all the basic features you would expect.
Boot space a little small,

2011 Yaris YRS Hatch - Love It!!

published

Recently purchased the 2011 YRS model (automatic, 1.5L engine) with added safety pack upgrades - has seven airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, high pedestrian safety rating, 5-star ANCAP safety rating, and more!
Very safe, provides a smooth ride on the rode, stylish exterior, very spacious interior that makes the car feel much larger than it is, high seating position, great visibility, easy to steer and park, fantastic sound system and simple Bluetooth connectivity, lots of storage spaces, easy-to-read central digital display.
Engine can be a little noisy going up hills (though I rarely hear it over the incredible sound system), boot is quite small when back-seats are not adjusted forward, central display does not show what gear car is in.

A great zippy car with lots of room in the back!

published

I had a hard time choosing a new car after my first ever car died. I looked at a lot of different makes and models and finally settled on the Toyota Yaris. I have been consistenly surprised by how much room is in the back when I put the seats down - it really is like a mini station wagon. It's fuel efficient too!
Economic and reliable

Yaris XP130 Hatch (2011-2020)

Purchased a new Yaris 2015 Hatch Ascent . Clocked in at 19,000 kms. My car failed as it was struggling to move when changing gears. Roadside assistance detected the car was running on 3 cylinders and should be on 4. Why????
The car has to be towed back to Toyota for further investigation.

The car at times fails to start. Why is this?

So disappointed and annoyed.

This is a new car and I think it's a bloody lemon.

Unfortunately there's a lemon every now and then, even with luxury cars... It's just one of the few cases where it got past their quality control checks.

Hi mate.. I am not a mechanic so that I can tell you what exactly is happening to your car, however, you can ask for a replacement car from Toyota dealer for going to work for free . I guess, you still have warranty left...good luck n hope you will get your car back soon.. cheers

Unable to answer the mechanical questions - a pity as Toyota are usually very reliable. Have noted that sometimes motor does not kick with key ON. Place foot on brake and make sure auto is properly in park. Then good to go . The Yaris is definitely not a power plant.
PS how come a new car with 2015?
