Works well
The preening power foam, works reasonably well " but if your not careful " it can get real messy real quick and getting it on anything else but clothing is dangerously slippery
Purchased in February 2021 at Coles for A$6.50.

Former Professional Carpet Cleaner
I could always tell the use of this type of product when I cleaned carpets professionally. In my opinion It leaves residial foam in the carpet. This in turn cleans your feet/shoes leaving the dirt in the carpet. Often my customers would tell me the carpet got dirtier within a week or two than it was before use of this type of product.
I think it should only be used as a temporary measure and a proper clean done with a hot water extraction cleaner (steam clean) by either a hire system or a professional. Please note I am no longer in the industry I am passing this on as informative only.

Don't waste your money on this!
I have stained carpet at my front door. I have a property inspection in a few days, and my property manager is a real tyrant! So I bought some Vanish preen power foam. I followed the instructions to the ''t,'' it did absolutely nothing! Made no difference whatsoever, don't buy this product, it is a waste of money!

TERRIBLE
This carpet cleaning spray was an absolute waste of time, energy and money. The very dirty carpet I used it on did not get cleaner than from vacuuming alone (with a top of the market vacuum cleaner). But it did leave the carpet feeling sticky. Took a day to dry on a low pile carpet. Area was vacuumed repeatedly and still no extra dirt was removed. If you have a very dirty carpet do yourself a favour and DONT even try to clean it with this spray foam...!

Good for spot stains
I have been an avid fan of the Preen Carpet powder, to clean large areas, but after receiving a Carpet Shampooer as a gift, this has now become my preferred cleaning option.
Of course small spills and dirty marks still occur, on a regular basis, and I often use Vanish Preen Powerfoam to clean these areas.
It works well, has a pleasant smell, and is reasonably priced.
Overall a good product

Better than vacuuming alone
My carpet is about 7 years old and was becoming grey. I was initially looking for a powder carpet cleaner but bought this aerosol spray foam instead. I sprayed it on my bedroom carpet and left it for 5 hours instead of the recommended two, only because I went out in the meantime. The next day I used it in another room for the recommended two hours and it was just as effective. I found the carpets were indeed brighter and cleaner, including the colours on a children's mat, and the smell is pleasant, not overpowering.

nto the carpet, gently brushed in with a clean broom, left for two hours, and vacuumed. During the two hours it is recommended you don't walk on the carpet, so I am doing 1-2 rooms at a time. It is also recommended that you vacuum first but I didn't; I suppose that would become more important if more dust and dirt has built up. I did make an effort to vacuum more slowly than usual to get the best results. This product is in a 500g can which seems large but will only cover 2-3 rooms; I would need two cans for three bedrooms and the lounge room. It is recommended only for standard dirt removal, not for stains, but I found it is more effective for dirt removal than vacuuming alone. I will continue to use it once or twice per year as it does make a pleasant difference to the appearance and fragrance of the room.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
